In my experience, this vendor's work is completely unreliable, and their customer service is infuriating. I initially got connected to Cosco through my home warranty because my garage door wasn't closing. Cosco came out and replaced my keypad. 3 months later, I had the same issue. Cosco came out did a more extensive repair (replaced control board, springs, motor). Slightly over a year later, I'm having the same problem. In all the homes I've owned, I've never had to call a garage door repair vendor to service the same garage door multiple times. Either Cosco hasn't diagnosed the problem correctly or the quality of their work is garbage. On top of all this, the vendor is completely unapologetic even when I continue to call him. read more

Very disappointed in the installation company Cosco is using. everything started ok, guy came out do consultation and I picked the door style and color and payed for every up front and was told it would be 3-6 weeks, finally scheduled for the 6th and cut my vacation short to accommodate and they didn't show up. Sadly I understand the installer was injured on the job, now the soonest date they can install is the 27th. I have been in customer service for years and would never make a customer wait that long, if needed I would sub the job out to another reputable company or pay overtime for my employees to get the job done sooner. This company was hired by my home warranty company. They came out and replaced my garage door motor, with a brand that no one has ever heard of. Turns out its a cheap Chinese brand that has no tech support or troubleshooting online. When the unit was having issues, Cosco charged me an additional amount just to come look at the unit, which malfunctioned after 5 months. They said it was 'gas' money, since they had to travel so far. The unit worked for 2 months, and then malfunctioned once again. They refused to come out and insisted the home warranty company was liable. This is all within a year, so there was definitely a manufacturer warranty. It is now November, and the home warranty company has issued a recall and is sending someone reputable to repair/replace the motor. It has also come to my attention that Cosco Garage has been dropped from their vendor list. Not surprised. BEWARE if you need to use this company! read more

They called me immediately to book an appointment and asked me about the brand of my motor and what the problem was prior to coming out to ensure they had the parts. Rather than patching a problem they identified as a safety issue they ensured the warranty replaced my old motor. They were amazing. Couldn't have been nicer. Do not use Cosco. I had a bad experience that ended up costing me more money to fix after these guys messed up my garage door. Basically, I would never have used these guys after seeing the reviews on here. But I have a new home that has a home warranty and cosco was sent out to fix the problem. The spring on my garage had busted and these guys came out to replace it. Only problem is they put a spring that was way too strong for the size of my garage. (probably because this was the only one they had) They show me the garage door works, I pay them the deductible, and thank them for coming out and offer them drinks. I come home from work and my garage wont shut. I push the button again and the garage keeps trying to force its way down. I literally see my garage get smushed into itself and the railings pop off and the middle door liner breaks off. Long story short, I dont trust these guys to fix my garage. I call to complain and ask them to take back the spring and give me a refund of atleast my deductible. He strings me along saying ok, no problem telling me I will drop off a check when im in the area. A month goes by, and he tells me that I will need to come to his office. He will call me when he is there because he is never there. No phone call since and its been a few months. Well, Im out 60 bucks and these guys get another bad review. I see there are mixed reviews here but I can only relate my positive experience. My door was getting stuck and not going all the way down. The owner was very responsive over phone and text, even patiently waiting a few days for me to decide the problem was worth the cost of a service call. He and his son, were pleasant, professional and quickly discovered I had a piece of metal hanging off one of my panels that was getting stuck on an improperly applied bolt. To anyone using this company BEWARE!!!! I have Old Republic for my home warranty. This company came out spent less than 10 Min's.. Stated they needed to order parts and come back. Which meant i still couldn't open the door. The garage door I called about it was told to me that we need to replace the spring all hinges and the tension tube the new spring cant go on an old tension tube it will break. The other two garage doors the motors were burning out and they needed to replace both motors all hinges and tension tubes and springs. I asked the tech on the phone how much are tension tubes about $125.00 per tension tube which was going to coast us 375.00 since the insurance company wouldn't cover it for all three doors. When I called to verify costs the office girl told me no the tension tubes were 225.00 a piece. When my husband came home I told him what the tech said. He said this doesn't sound right. Ask our insurance company for a second opinion which we did. They sent out another company. I didn't say anything to them I wanted to see what they would say. Oh we need to replace the spring and lube the door. That's when I asked don't I need a tension tube? He stated no nothing is wrong with it. What about my other doors motors, springs and tension tubes. Nothing is wrong with them yet. Their just older. Then I asked so how long will it take to order parts he said no we have everything on the truck. I was amazed they finished everything in 30 Min's plus. Just call us if you need anything in the future. So this proved that this company COSCO is VERY SHADY COMPANY. They lie to the insurance company. To up sell everything. It would be nice to have all new things but that was just awful to see them take advantage of the insurance company and also us to pay extra. They need to close up shop and be reported to the Better Business Bureau. So to you COSCO you need to not try to sell things to customers and their insurance company that isn't needed. Top reasons why my husband I would never call them back: 1. They were late, called and apologized after I had waited 2 1/2 hours into my time slot. 2. Came over and said they'd replace spring for $375, no wait for me, $350...not including the obviously broken bracket which is an additional $145. I would get no credit for the service call charge they just pocketed. 3. On second thought, they should replace the entire door for $800 with one that has no insulation (a cheaper door) * no written estimate showing parts and labor breakdown or any sort of warranty, nothing! * Super shady and greedy! LIE. So they would come the next Saturday from 11am to 4pm. This is crazy but no one came, no one called, no one left a voicemail!!!! 4) Monday morning comes they call, apologize and say they will send someone this morning from 11am to 1pm. And only because we happened to be home and wanted the job done agreed. But no one came, no one called, no one showed!!!!!!!!!!! I had to call the office and the secretary Sandra said the tech was busy on another job and he probably forgot to call us. She said he was going to be on his way later, but she did not give me a time, she just said he would give me a 30 minute lead!!! Then we hung up I called to complain to my home warranty company, they called the office and the secretary said that our motor part was not ready and that is why they were not able to come earlier. WHAT?!!!! LIE AGAIN!!!! So the secretary told my home warranty they would be at my house in an hour. So we allowed it, and they were there in an hour. The garage door opener didn't function after one month of the first service visit. They came back, checked it and replaced the battery for us.
