They also assured me that the filler they were using was meant for under eye and would look really good. The filler was injected too superficially, leaving visible lumps under my eyes that looked unnatural and obvious. I also experienced severe bruising. The results were so poor that I had to seek treatment from another doctor to dissolve some of the filler, and I'm still dealing with the aftermath. What makes this even more concerning is that this procedure was performed by their "senior injector." which is why I didn't want to go back to them to fix it since I was worried they would make it even worse. I had to go an actual doctor to remove, pay a lot more money and he confirmed that the it wad done improperly. After my experience, I asked the clinic about the injector's qualifications and credentials, but they never responded to my request. If you take the time to read the negative reviews, you'll notice that I'm not the only person reporting what they believe was a botched cosmetic procedure. I wish I had paid more attention to those reviews before trusting this clinic. The low price was not worth the outcome. When I arrived, I waited about five minutes before being greeted and asked to complete the electronic consent forms on an iPad. The first major red flag was that I was not allotted time to discuss my goals and had to force a pause before beginning so I could discuss it, which was still not very well received or listened to. I have since learned that this is NOT normal, most places have a consultation period, but some clinics just chase the volume of clients. I mentioned wanting a soft, natural look, with SOFT borders (since i already have a double lip line) and no focus/placement to the outer corners of my mouth. I came out of it with deep pockets of filler, IMMEDIATE migration leading to odd vertical lines above my upper lip holding filler, and horrible scar tissue that becomes painful at times and burns. Ive come to learn, thanks to their recent post of my lips, that they used the Russian lips technique. It feels very hurtful that I requested a soft natural look, and the technique done on me is the technique known for being used to create distinct immediate results that capture well on camera in-clinic but migrate badly, as well as known for scar tissue like mine due to the vertical pillar-like stacking of filler into the lips. Luckily, I found an amazing injector who dissolved everything and will be rebuilding my lips correctly, but its now cost me so much to fix this place's horrible job. I avoided coming back into this clinic for a resolution because it is not worth letting them experiment with my face without proper knowledge or care for technique just to save money, plus I have seen the reviews discussing how those who are brought in for fixes end up having to pay full-price for it and are treated not the greatest. Please people, a trendy medspa with great marketing and some good deals is not worth the integrity of your lips and the pain and shame that comes with the disfigurement. I made an appointment at Cosmedica Med Spa in Boca for 06/09. They require a $100 non refundable deposit (no problem, but non refundable? first red flag) I arrive and the young girl working the front desk was extremely nice and talked to me, as it was my first time getting filler/first aesthetic procedure, she was the only that numbed me. She said my provider, Sandra (i believe her name was because she never even told me her name when she came in) would be in shortly. The numbing cream was on for about 25 mins until she finally came in and the only thing she said "half of a syringe or a full syringe" and i responded with "half" and she said "ok i'll go grab it". She was gone for another 7 minutes before entering the room with one thing. She didn't say a single word while setting anything up. She then handed me a mirror and told me to say something and smile. She told me my right upper lip was lower and she'll fix it. She lowered the chair and immediately began filling. She didn't ask me what shape i wanted, what look i wanted to achieve, anything at all... After about 10 mins of injecting, she put gloss on and started taking videos immediately without permission. She gave me the mirror to look at them and they looked good. She just stood there kinda waiting for me to leave. On my way out I asked "what can i do for bruising?", "Should i ice them?" "when can i workout again?". She answered all my questions - but she provided me with no further information whatsoever. The next day, I spoke to my friend and she told me I must be massaging them multiple times a day for the first week to avoid hard bumps. I know every injector is different and every technique is different. So i felt them and I was bumpy. Before any massaging I called Cosmedica med spa. For reference: my appointment was Tuesday at 7pm and I called them Wednesday at 7pm. So 24hrs past. The receptionist answered (not sure if it was the same one from the day of appointment) and i said "Hi i was in last night and got a half of syringe of lip filler, my friend said i am supposed to be massaging my lips, is that true?" She said she's not entirely sure and she put me on hold to ask the provider. She came back and told me that yes I need to massaging them at least 3x a day for 5 days and to use warm compress before hand. I asked why i was not told this very important information. Her only response is "she isn't sure". Now i understand it's not her fault. The provider failed to inform me of it seems any and all after care. Simply unacceptable. Not only am i 1. a paying customer 2. a PATIENT but 3. a first timer. I've been massaging them for a day about 4 times so far and my bump has improved but now i just have a fear that it won't go away because i didn't massage it on time. Instead, they scheduled an online consultation just to tell me there's "nothing they can do" and that I should talk to the manager... except the manager is on vacation. The worst- I should have gotten the woman's name but she was in and out so quick. She did not ask me what I was looking to achieve, she shot 52 units of botox into my forehead and was done in 10 seconds or less. It was extremely painful like I have never experienced before. There is no Botox or Dysport given in this spa, only Xeomin that has been watered down to oblivion. You will be coming back with pitchforks a month later and they will give you some lousy response as their form of "customer service" that was most likely given by a 21 year old. And if you are enough of a moron to come back, the price per unit will be exponentially higher. But what about all their fantastic reviews? Would give 0 stars if I could. Paula did my Botox a few weeks ago and it's been a nightmare. She injected right above my eye brow, despite me telling her specifically I needed a lift. My eyebrows are so low that I now can't wear my eye makeup - the exact opposite of what I was going for. I've been getting Botox for 15 years and this is by far the worst I've ever looked, not to mention my forehead was literally bubbling after the procedure. These people are clearly uneducated and not professional. I have had to since get an enhancement in the city, which absolutely did not mask the botch job that she did. So I'm back here to say that the spa reached out to me like a month ago and offered me lip fillers (one syringe) at no cost at all. They wanted to make right the bad experience i had before and they really did make me happy this time around. The girl that called me, i believe her name was Boo, was extremely nice! I've been coming to Cosmetica Medspa religiously once a month for a year and have always had a great experience with Carla their aesthetician. She always did a great job and was really sweet and I've gifted her service for my mom and sister because of how good she does. I was surprised when I came in yesterday and found out she no longer works there. I feel like they should have let clients know ahead of time, especially since she was their main aesthetician. They're usually good about keeping clients informed if they need to reschedule or if something comes up, so this felt a little disappointing. It was kind of like going to your usual nail tech every month, only to show up one day and find out they're gone, leaving you to try someone new on the spot. I've been getting HydraFacials for years and have tried different aestheticians at other places, so I know what to expect. I've never had an experience like this before. The new aesthetician, Daniella, was really sweet, but I think she needs more training before working on paying clients. I came in for a HydraFacial and dermaplaning, but she mentioned she didn't really love doing dermaplaning, and the tool she was using felt dull--more like something you'd use at home all while working on my face. Her ring light was so bright and physically close to my face and she missed spots on my face, and when she got to my neck, she pressed down on my throat and said, "Sorry, I'm trying not to cut your throat." Her hands felt shaky, and it seemed like she wasn't comfortable doing it. My skin immediately started burning and feeling really itchy, which has never happened to me before with dermaplaning. I don't know if it was the tool she used or her technique, but it definitely didn't feel right and made it hard to relax, especially the day before Valentine's Day. The HydraFacial portion felt rushed, like she was just spot-treating instead of applying everything evenly. It was more like boom, boom, next step, boom, boom, done. She didn't run the machine over my nose, the middle of my forehead, under my nose, or my chin, and she didn't draw dots all over my face to rub in. It felt like dry and burning suction on the face. Before she turned off the machine, I had to apologize and ask her to go over the spots she missed, which felt uncomfortable. Overall I'm all about being fair, which is why I'm leaving three stars and giving new people a chance because everyone starts somewhere. She was sweet after the service, but I wouldn't have been happy paying full price for this, and my review probably would have been different if I had. Cosmetica really does try to accommodate clients and doesn't like seeing people leave unhappy. I had a custom facial today along with hydro facial from Helen . It was AMAZING my face is glowing. She's very professional educated about skincare and her spa room was so relaxing. The owner was kind enough to have me back as my first experience was not good with the first aesthetician when she first opened up . And I'm happy to say I'm glad I took up her offer. I came in for a consultation as I was interested in getting lip fillers. While filling out my charts in the waiting room, The receptionists were talking loudly on the phone about another patient who was upset about something, which, regardless of the situation, I thought was pretty unprofessional to discuss in front of all the other patients in the waiting room. Additionally, while I was waiting, a woman who had just received eye filler came back in a couple minutes after her procedure, very concerned because she had never had this amount of swelling and bruising on her face as someone who frequently got fillers. The staff pretty much just brushed her off, told her it was fine from about 10 feet away, and didn't take a second look at her concern. She walked out pretty upset, and I don't blame her because her concerns were shrugged off and she could've used a little more explanation, a closer look or a little more compassionate reassurance at least. This was also concerning to see as a potential new patient. Last and most importantly, the room I was placed in for my consultation was dirty and was not cleaned at all through the duration of my consult. I'm in the medical field and know that used needles, gloves and alcohol should 100% be removed before another patient enters the room, and if noticed during a new appointment, should still be immediately removed. First impressions are important, and my first experience at cosmetica left me weary to receive a service here and concerned about the integrity of professionalism and sanitation that exists here. I had huge bumps right after the injection and now over a month later my forehead still has bumps. Not sure how you can mess up Botox this badly. The worst part of it all is they refused to have me come back in the office to see me. I asked several times about coming to see the medical director. I kept following up and they stated via text message that this would not be necessary and to wait, I asked to get a call they stated they were busy, So not only are they doing repeated botched jobs they also have zero customer service and are very unprofessional. read more

So this place is not my usual place I go to for fillers, but I decided to try it out since I saw a lot of ads on Instagram. Booking the appointment was very easy. As soon as I came in, they brought me in to a room and put numbing cream on me. I did have to wait a little while for the NP to come in and start the injections. I probably waited for approximately 30 minutes after the numbing cream was applied. I forgot the name of the injector but she was very nice and very sweet! The injections were a lot less painful than the other places I have been too! The lady was very gentle which I appreciated! I purchased a full syringe which we only used .6ml but they did inform me that I can come back in a few weeks and get the other .4ml that I paid for. Worst experience of my life! I decided to get a facial kinda last minute (same day) because it was my birthday on 12/29. I was able to get an appt. same day which was great. When I irrived, I was taken to the room by Helen. I was told to get onto the table fully dressed with shoes. Very un-relaxing. The lights were bright and it was not a spa like experience. Helen started talking about how much tragedy she was going through in her life (deaths, family sicknesses , etc...) yes, sad but not what I go to a relaxing spa to hear. She then started telling me how she was going through menopause and how her vagina is dry and her husband wants to have sex but it's uncomfortable for her. What?!?!?! I paid for an hour hydrofacial. After 20 minute she said there was nothing more to do unless I wanted to start adding on masks for an extra charges to make the time last longer. I explained that I booked an hour facial and was quoted $129 with no add ons. She stated that the girls up front don't know what's involved so it only takes 20 minutes even though they said it will be an hour. It was the most unprofessional out of body experience I've ever had. Worst experience ever!! I sat straight up after 20 minutes and said I'm done. I was very unsettled and knew something wasn't right. What a scam! I went to the front desk and let them know what I experience and they told me my facial would be compensated. I would not have paid for it anyways. Steer clear of this place!!! read more

Insanely disappointed with the staff and owner. I went in for lip filler, a procedure I've done for 2 years now so definitely know what I'm in for. First the attitude of the injector was awful. Made a comment about she wasn't getting paid enough and this was "just a job" many times. Put me off but I proceeded to deal with it because I already made an appointment and waited to get this done. I proceeded to show the injector what my old injector did in TX, what products she used, the final result etc. Injector proceeded to use the entire syringe when it was absolutely not necessary. Didn't walk me through what she was doing, nothing. I figured she would give me a mirror when she was done with a little bit to show progress as she goes but no. She hands me the mirror afterwards and I look like a blow up doll. I was petrified and immediately started Crying because I was embarrassed and looked hideous. I asked to get an ice pack, to take out the filler, anything because I was so alarmed at how butchered my lips looked and she pretty much told me I was fine and I'd like it after a while. I'm sorry, I'm the customer. If I don't like it, I don't like it. I call the next day and ask if I can get the filler removed because I was still very upset and it was the same injector that would work with me so again, didn't feel confident with her at this point so I never got it done at Cosmetica. I ended up getting it taken out by another med spa. I called Cosmetica and complained and asked for a resolution such as a refund etc and the owner never called me back. I called again to follow up. The owner never responded, emailed or called back. At least show a little bit of care for customers with a response but absolutely nothing?! That's appalling. I will now do my very best to tell everyone NOT to visit this place. Professionalism and customer service is at an all time low.
