Went hear not long ago and has been a long time since my last visit. Apparently the owner Jim doesn't come around to the store anymore. I've known Jim and his brother for many years and spent lots of $$$ at their store when it was up on Trop. and Pecos (both locations). Well this last visit was weird and unpleasant to say the least. I was literally treated like in one of those westerns when a stranger comes in to town (was not a warm welcome or atmosphere). It's funny now but was very unpleasant at the time. But just on the comics purchase aspect I went to pick up a few back issues because they had replied to an email I sent and said they had a few of what I was looking for. Well , I pointed out to the manager that the sticker price was possibly a bit high considering the condition of the comic(s). These were severely yellowed , not in necessarily high demand and asked if he would come down a bit. There was No consideration whatsoever. Granted , it's at their discretion to do as they please. But the overall experience including not even taking $1.00 or 50 cents off (which would be minimal in anybody's book) would still have left a somewhat favorable light on the experience. Instead it was pretty unpleasant overall and I will not visit Cosmic Comics again. Not that they'll miss me but I miss Jim and the conversations we had on comics and stuff and hope He is doing well. read more

As a life-long comic book fan, I'm very particular about the shops I frequent. Cosmic Comics rank at one of the top in Vegas. With a back issue collection probably larger than most and current issues covering 3 walls, it's definitely hard NOT to find what you're looking for. Just left this place, the big blonde lady with the glasses Is super rude, and made me feel very uncomfortable. 1- she didn't even welcome me in or say let me know if you have any questions.. yet said that to the next five customers that entered after me 2-I've never been in a comic store in my life. While skimming/browsing through the One Punch Man manga, the lady FINALLY comes over after ten mins of me being inside the store and rudely says. Is there anything I can help you with? Me just being in there to kill some time/browse says no, but how often are these updated. She rudely goes. They're up to date. And I state compared to the the ones online? . She grabs the book that's on the shelf and states yes 17 is the latest chapter to come out. And I say oh cool. She stands there for about thirty seconds.. I uncomfortable say can we skim/browse through them. Before I even get the question out she is shaking her head no and adds we are not a library.. and I say oh well I've never been to a comic store before.. and she walks away. One of the worse experiences I've had.. VERY surprised big blonde lady with glasses is on her fifth year here. Definitely A LOT BETTER/nicer/friendlier ways to go about the scenario. Cosmic Comics is a 'Top Shelf' shop. I have been shopping there (off and on) for over a decade (?) even at their previous Pecos Rd. and Tropicana Ave.location (it was a movie, pinball, and comics...a fun date night). Their 'selection of back issues are very large, reasonably priced & well organised, the collected editions are well organised as well by 'Big Two' and by genre for the remainder of publishers. They also carry several local publishers as well in a distinct area. The store is well lit and clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, they have a sitting area where one can talk with other like minded comic book enthusiasts or just to sit while your family shops. You can get a pullbox with a minimum amount of titles monthly and you can order with the Comic Hub app & website. All in all Brian Fudge & Company are paragons of comicsosity. read more

Well, I was contacted by one of the owners after my bad review and offered a chance to come shop again and update my review. And I was ready, I contacted the owner back and said maybe I just had a bad day and it was me, so I was looking for some books and this is the first place I thought to check. So I called looking for any issue any grade 1-25 on Amazing Spider-Man (1963) Volume 1. I was first told did I know how much they would be because it's very pricey! Really, wow didn't know that (sarcasm). I then said I am not looking to buy all 25 issues today, just looking to see what you have if any and what grade then buy maybe 1 or 2 issues. So next I was then told that they would have to check the back and he has to work the register so I would just want to come in sometime or call back because he didn't have the time to check. Wow, what AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, (sarcasm). You have a guy on the phone willing to spend a minimum of $500-$1,000 on the phone and you can't even get a phone number and say when you have time tonight or tomorrow you will check and get back to me. No of course not, I have to call back and ask the same exact question all over again and HOPE this time you are free to actually check, because if not, then AGAIN I will have to call back. read more

Straight up comics. None of the other comic collectibles here. Well, not much anyway. Yeah, a couple of toys or a statue or two, but this is the long box and old comic mecca. If comic stores were bars, this one would be a bourbon bar. No messing around with the mixed drinks and appealing to the masses. They have what they have and you can either like it and find what you need or you can look elsewhere. The new release selection is really pretty nice. Popped in to this shop when I was in town and the other shop didn't have the indie book I wanted. These folks had it. Yup, they don't mess around. It wasn't that much of an indie book either, at worse it was a dark horse comic. I mean, come on. Helpful and very serious about their comics. I mean, really really serious. Come on, man. It's funny books. Why so serious? But I suppose being serious about your comic shop pays off for those of us looking for that less than popular comic. read more

This place is pretty darn awesome. Big selection, helpful staff and reasonable prices. My daughter wanted to get some anime books so we wandered in and began to browse. She picked one out that was about high school girls or something and said she liked the cover. It seems innocent enough so I had her hand it to me and I thumbed through the pages. Good thing I did because between the covers, I found some pretty adult images and themes. I turned to the staff and asked for help. They were happy to tell us their favorites and which ones might interest her the most. It was tough because Airbender and Pokemon were titles that my daughter associated with boys in her class. I know she wanted to find something girl centric. So we took a look at Sailor Moon and decided to give it and a Pokemon book a try. I love that the staff is exactly who you'd expect to work at a comic book store. Nice people who could have easily crossed over to my favorite used record store if it was in the 1980s. This will be our go-to comic book store from now on. read more

The usual new comic store. Mostly for current fans. All the new brands are represented. It is a cleaned up book store type shop. Very neat and mostly stocking modern collections. I would say it's a far cry from the heavily inventoried comic shoppes of last century. The t-shirt wall is decent. Very light on the poster selection. A sparse all English language Manga shelf (the reason I came for my lil bro) representing the fanboy weeaboo collectors choices only. Overall variety is somewhat lacking. I didn't browse the archives but there is about 150 square feet of boxed & categorized classics. The workers are nice. The majority of the toys were vinyl bobble type pop characters and mostly DCs Batman plethoras. Many pricey resin casts too. I didn't find a gift for my bro. Sadly left empty handed. read more

I went to visit this store around noon time. Seemed to have only 2 people working at that time, but wasnt very busy. Pretty good store. Lots of long boxes to choose from, if you need to fill in holes in your comic runs I suggest looking through them all. The walls are mostly lined up with the current issues and complete sets. The store is fairly well organized. I was really surprised in the collection of the older comics (mostly Silver Age) although some of the comics may not be as high grade, there maybe several duplicates to choose from. These are located in the wooden drawer boxes. I highly suggest looking through these also. The figure section was quite stocked. Next to the toy section are the dividers, mylar bags, boards, etc. Worth looking through if you're looking for a figure. (I dont recall much marvel figures however). Statue section is displayed quite nicely so are the shirts and other miscellaneous items. At check out, the lady was nice and engaging. I'll definitely come again. read more

There is a pretty good selection but the ego of one of the staff members ran me right out of the store. Was in town from LA to watch boxing and just happened to pop in for Free Comic Book Day 2015. It was crazy busy, packed and they were giving out raffle tickets like they do. One of the staff members was I think trying to organize the free comics line from the purchasing line and he begins to say, "So I know you are going to buy something so when you do, line up on this side of the store." Um, excuse me! Way to be a jerk and have a fat ego assuming that I will buy from you. I can see from the crowd that you are successful but it is rude to assume that everyone there will be buying. It is a huge turn off to treat customers like cattle. Its a nice store but saying something like that rubs me the wrong way. I am used to shops where each customer is treated with respect and possibly like family. You will not get that kind of intimate service here. At events like comic book day too, you really see people's true colors. read more

This store is the best in Vegas. It has a great selection of older comics including: gold, silver, bronze, and modern issues. The store also has reasonable prices for key issues. The store is clean and very well organized. It also has a great custom storage unit system for older issues so they dont get damaged. this store is also one of the few that carried drawer boxes. The owner was very nice and willing to haggle on key issue prices. This store seemed more into comics rather than manga or gaming which is a major plus. read more

This visit was a lot of fun. It is adjacent to a grocery store and other stuff in a mini mall, so parking can be a touch on the tricky side, but well worth it once inside. Despite having a (literally) stunning array of collected books, new editions and back issues, not to mention quite a large number of collectibles, they somehow did not have a single one of the things I was looking for. I would have liked to have spent double or triple the time I was there and would no doubt have walked out with an armful of stuff and likely a very hefty bill and it would totally have been worth it, had I stayed that amount of time, but alas, I was on a mission. This is probably the best comic book store ive been to here in vegas. And it might possibly be the best comic book store i've been to, period. PRO: Staff has great comic book knowledge and they're very helpful and friendly. Tons of boxes to sniff through Awesome variety from Pop figures to toys Good collection of posters and books Decent collection of some very rare comic books CONS: Statues and Bust collection seems to be on the smaller side. This place is serious about comics. Yes,it's a comic book store, but, what i mean is.....they specialize in just books and back issues. Not so much with the actions figures and roll play like other stores. It's kinda refreshing to walk into a store and have a solid idea of what they do there. And the guys that work there have knowledge and love to share it. And to top it all off it's next door to Pinball City......all Pinball Machines all night. I'll review that soon. read more

In my never ending quest to review every comic book shop in the world, I bring to you COSMIC COMICS! I haven't been to this shop since they moved locations (from Tropicana to Flamingo) and let me tell you, I was so pleasantly surprised that my wallet really paid the price. I couldn't stop gawking at how much room this new shop had and how nicely spaced out everything was. If their last shop was the Batcave, this is Superman's Fortress of Solitude. Sure, the Batcave was big enough to house all of the necessary wares, but it was cramped and a bit dark hidden from the naked eye in a shopping center not many passed through. This new location however, is bright and vivid with so much extra room to fly around in and the location is oh so much better! I walked in only looking for Swamp Thing #1 and Catwoman #1 from DC's newly rebooted universe, but I ended up walking out with $70 in comic books! Thank you Cosmic Comics, you went from being a 2 star rated shop to a full fledged 5 star! I will most definitely be returning and recommend you do the same! read more

Worst guest service ever!! I'm part of this comics store loyalty program always buying comics from this store and on their online website and I placed a pre order for a item and when I called the store to cancel my order the store representative was very rude telling me " you won't be able to buy from our business again if you decided to cancel you're order" and processed to hang up on me without letting me finish talking after I needed to know if I was going to get a email notification about my refund, if every job's business representative talked to customers the way I was talked to many business would be going for bankruptcy, word of advice next time try offering you're customers store credit if you're so worried profit loss instead of losing loyal customers. read more

I love the new location, it's so much bigger and nicer than the old location. There is even a nice seating area! Yes, there are collectables and things but this shop is definitely focused on comic books. They have an amazing selection! The staff is very knowledgeable and are always good for chatting about comic books. If they don't have what you're looking for, they are always willing to order things for you. read more

Just came back from a Vegas trip. Had the comic bug while I was there so I looked through the yellow pages in my hotel room. Inside I found Cosmic Comics on East Tropicana. I decided to go there and take a look. We stayed near the main strip so getting there was a little trip in the car. At first, I drove past it because it wasn't easy to spot. It was in the same location as a limo rental place, a movie theater and I think an AAA. There was a few bums around. I saw one sleeping on a ledge and another asked my wife for some change. Very interesting area but it shouldn't discourage you from going there. Inside there are wall to wall comics. One side of the store is all recent DC comics and on the other side is all Marvel. In the back, they have other titles of other comic publishers. In between they had shelves and shelves of back issues and graphic novels. On the walls they displayed old issues of Marvel and DC comics. Place is good sized and full of comic goodness. I would of stayed longer but the wife was ready to move on with the rest of our vacation. So I had to move fast. Next time I am in town I hope to look around a little longer. The cool thing is that he still had a lot of recent issues that were long sold out in other places at cover price. Batman and Robin #1 and Flash Rebirth #1 just to name a few. The guy behind the counter looked like a old biker dude. He gave me a comic book bag with a board for every comic I purchased. There is a picture of him and his brother when they were kids dressed up as Batman and Robin. Very cool picture and adds to the place. Definitely visit this store. It's a cool comic book shop. Support your local comic book shops especially if they are good. This is one of the good ones.j read more

Great store! Well organized and easy to find books. Nice kids section and all of their books are in great company mediation on shelves instead of racks which any collector knows ruins the spine. Just a solid place overall. Definitely a comic store and not a grand hoc novel store or toy store although they have some of each. They do what they do well. Variant issues are a little high in price but comparable to what you'd find in other places. read more

This is absolutely the best Comic book store in Las Vegas! They have such a vast selection of all your comic book necessities including a great collection of maquette's. The store is ALWAYS impeccably clean, and organized, and also makes you feel very welcome. Julia goes above, and beyond in customer service. My overall favorite spot in Vegas. Large selection of new and old. A variety of Pop and other items. Large selection of graphic novels, and they have some stuff you won't find at other shops. Most of the people there are knowledgable and like to have conversations with you. They also have a kids section, which isn't something I have seen at other shops. read more

This place is a little hard to find, it's tucked away in the back of a very industrial looking complex. On the other hand, there's a pinball store and a giant Goodwill Superstore across the street. YAY. I really enjoyed this store: it is serious biz'ness inside, with rows and rows of wooden shelving dedicated to graphic novels. Even better, the graphic novels are organized first by genre, with all Science Fiction in a different section from Autobio. This set up reminds me of the great Comic Relief in Berkeley. This is, hands down, my favorite comic book shop in Vegas. I don't get to make it in as often as I would like because it's a far drive for me. But it's so worth it every time! There's always a great, large selection in comics, toys and collectibles. I'm still a little new to whole comic book world, I mostly read image comics, but the staff are always so friendly and helpful. I never feel intimidated when walking in and I love being able to discover different comics to read with the wide variety that this store has. read more

I live nearby so I stop in every so often, usually just to browse. Sometimes I find a neat plushie or figure. They have a huge collection of comics, a really neat collection of high class figures and figureheads, along with plenty of t shirts and posters. The place gets really crowded for free comic book days, but it's pretty fun to attend. A lot of people dress up and raffles are held. Also the place is a pokestop, with another pokestop right next door. :D read more

fuck this store. their custom service sucks, I bought a action figure here for my nephew for Christmas and it broke within 20 minutes of him playing with it then when I tried to take it back to exchange for a new one they wouldn't do it because I didn't have the receipt. I didn't keep the receipt because I had no intention of returning the toy and didn't think it would break within 20 mins of opening it. I understand store policy but there can be exceptions made especially when the store is the one at fault. such a bad way to do business especially when I'm in the store on a weekly basis. Nerd alert! Actually that was me, I went in to look at superhero coffee cups and glasses. Lots to look at and just about anyone in there will talk to you and by that I mean staff and patron. I loved comics as a younger man and appreciated the nostalgia so I am glad I went in. Check it out, there's some cool stuff and great reading going on. read more
