I recently visited Cosmo on vacation. I was staying at a local hotel and wanted a massage without hotel vacation prices. I read great reviews about Cosmo Day Spa and decided to book. What a great decision. I had a 60 minute deep tissue massage with Hang and she was wonderful. Her massage relieved all the tension I was holding in my back and shoulders. In fact my massage was so awesome that 2 days later I saw Hang again for a 90 minute massage before I flew home. I will definitely be back in the future to see Hang and her healing hands. read more

Perfect place to get your massage, if you don't mind not having your massage on the beach. It's close to the Ka'anapali string of hotels and located in the Honokowai Marketplace. Called Tuesday morning and spoke to Tiana, who was pleasant and thankful. She was able to accommodate me and my husband's availability for the next day at 9 a.m., 90 min massages, separate rooms. She advised us to be there 5 min before to fill out a form. Got there and was greeted by Fon and Sia. The place is nice, clean, relaxing and quiet. Filled out their form, which only took a few minutes. They let us know if we needed to use the restroom and I did, knowing it may be long and I didn't want my massage to be interrupted. Bathroom is nice and clean. Fon was my massage therapist and I got the lomilomi and hot rocks massage. She made sure the pressure applied was good and that I was doing good. She took her time and worked on my whole body. And like the reviews said, my body felt like jelly after. My husband had Sia as his massage therapist and did the deep tissue massage. He said she was really good and targeted the spots he had knots on. He did get sore after, but that's expected. I definitely recommend Cosmo Day & Spa. I requested a 90 minute Lomi Lomi massage and got a "whatever I decide to give you but lucky you I'm amazing and know Russian techniques so you're gonna get those because I'm amazing and studied under a Russian master blah blah blah" and on and on he talked about himself throughout my entire massage frequently soliciting praise for his amazing technique. Gag! I wanted to leave prior to my massage being over so many times. I asked him verbally to stay off my glutes and wrote it on my intake form. Did he? No! He was very unprofessional and dishonoring of my stated boundaries. Just yuck! I was extremely uncomfortable with him and that was before he relayed a personal story about a love interest he'd formed with a "college-age" girl he (a now 64 yr old man - and he said their friendship was 6 yrs. old) met on TikTok from the Philippines and how this young woman eventually disclosed that she had a little daughter ... she introduced her daughter via video chats to my massage therapist and he was excited for his upcoming plans to fly to the Philippines and spend two weeks with this little girl even though the romantic relationship with her mother ended when the young woman "cheated on him". I found his story beyond cringy and totally unnecessary - to have to listen to that during a massage?! I only wished very much he'd just SHUTUP and do his job in professional silence. I don't need to be burdened with worry for this precious little girl that had the misfortune of being born to an unwise, young mother who would subject her to the FaceTime (?) acquaintance and attentions of a stranger from 5,000 miles away. Make of it what you will. Again, I've received massage at many types of practices and have experienced varying degree of skill in the practitioners I've been worked on by but everything about my experience at Cosmo Spa today was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and regrettable. I requested Lomi Lomi - I did not receive Lomi Lomi. This masseur messaged me through Yelp 4 times before I finally blocked him. He told me to call the spa and ask for Tiana to get a full refund in exchange for taking down my review. They would need my full name to issue refund, ask for Tiana "the owner". Tiana is not the owner. He told me he resigned from Cosmo in his second message. Discomfort with this experience has only increased. I'm lowering my rating to one star so hopefully more innocent vacationers will be spared from unwittingly crossing paths with such an individual and all the drama and anxiety having the misfortune of being assigned to his services when I arrived for my booked massage at Cosmo produced for me. (He also threatened that I had committed "defamation of character" by leaving this review and giving an honest/factual reporting of my experience...he contacted Yelp alleging the same...so I got back on here to clarify.) Next step if he doesn't back off? Copy/Paste his DM's onto this platform ... Defamation requires the statement to be FALSE, published, and damaging to reputation. Sharing direct messages, even if embarrassing for the practitioner, is typically considered "republication" of their own words. PS I've not ever named him in my review. An uncomfortable experience. If you want to talk to your masseuse during your entire massage and have them ask you at least 5 times how is the pressure and be cold the entire time then you'll enjoy this place. 1st off the rooms are cold the A/C keeps your fingers freezing. 2nd I booked a couples massage and I want to relax and be quiet and get massaged with my partner. The guy kept asking me questions throughout the whole experience and would not shut up. " where are you from", " who's your football team", " have you lived in the bay area along time". Sir be quiet. Theres other people in the room that don't want to hear you including me. Also our massages were completely different. My partner turned over 10 minutes before i did, he got a hot towel over his eyes i didn't get anything. Just not a relaxing couples experience. read more

My wife is pregnant, and Robert gave her an expert-level prenatal massage that was both gentle and deeply relieving. He made sure she was comfortable the entire time and knew exactly how to relieve the tension and discomfort she's been feeling during her pregnancy. This was undoubtedly the best massage I have ever gotten. Robert is the best of the best, and I've had massages all over the world. I'm even a massage therapist myself so I'm kind of particular about when the masseurs/ masseuses miss an area like my rhomboids or rush past something like a sacrum press or don't "balance out" the treatment on both sides of the body or don't ask you where you need some extra care. This was not the case with this young man, who asked me first about anything I needed that wasn't filled-out on the form in the front office, or I might have forgotten to mention. He was highly-skilled, and I felt at-ease with him from the moment I walked in the door. From hot stones to towel wraps, this massage went way above and beyond even the very expensive resort massages I've had in the past, or have given as a partner of Healing Hands in California, before I moved to Hawaii, nearly 12 years ago. Robert's calming voice, soothing music and room environment are only the start of the best massage you'll probably ever get, and I've been to him a few times, now...he's the only one I've gone to more than once, over here, and I intend to make it a monthly habit when I can. Not surprised about all the 5-Star reviews, but seriously question the less than at least 4-Stars I've read. Perhaps a personal issue? Usually that's not something even the best massage therapist can rub out of someone, and that's too bad. Myself? Gonna recommend highly someone like him who might give me a little extra time without charging me, for it! Just went to Cosmo Day Spa as a walk in. I was actually going to Pizza Paradiso next door but saw the spa and I have been sore from work so I went in. Never been there . It was my lucky day Because I ended up getting one of the best massages I have received to date. Tiffany was excellent, she used a variety of techniques including Thai, Lomi Lomi and Swedish.
