On Dec. 13, 2013 I had a horrible experience at Cosmo Nails. I have gotten my nails done there off and on for the past 12 years. I'll go often and then there will be an event that disturbs me so I go elsewhere and once in awhile I give them another chance. After my last experience I will NEVER go there again. One of the workers ruined my new Italian leather boots, dropping the quick dry oil on them in three big spots. The owner, Kerry Qwan, did not offer to do anything about my damaged boots. She suggested that I return the boots to the store and get my money back. What???!#@! On top of all this my manicure was horrible. I had asked for a candy cane stripe on my fourth nail on both hands. Lina Lee did not understand the what a candy cane was so I showed her a picture and explained I wanted the stripes alone. Instead, she tried to repeat the exact picture, two candy canes crossed. I let it slide and didn't even say anything. Then, because she used regular red polish to make the stripes, when she went to put the top coat everything bled and the whole thing was ruined. She didn't realize this was the problem, she did it again and the same thing happened again! At this point I gave up. I had been there for 2 hours. They left my boots in the middle of the room with one of the rude worker's child running around. This is the worker who dropped the oil on my boots then tried to say it was my fault because the boots were in the middle of the room. I did not put my boots there. Lina Lee put my boots there and failed to bring them to any other area(s) she moved me to, abandoning them and leaving them for destruction.
I told the owner, Kerry that as a long standing customer of 12 years she should do something about my boots. After suggested I returned them, she then tried to blame me and was yelling at me and the whole thing escalated to the point where I told her she would be hearing from my lawyer. There goes $200 down the drain on my Italian leather boots and there goes the money I spent on what should have been a cute Christmas inspired simple manicure (all white with one striped nail). Fail. Double fail. Triple fail for horrible business owner, "customer is always right" fail situation. I hope I can spare anyone else from having ruined manicures and attire. Steer clear! read more
