I got a pedicure, manicure, and a massage. It was so relaxing, I could have fallen asleep during all three procedures. And my nails look absolutely gorgeous! Cleanliness. I thought she put plastic in the foot massage bowl. 1/2 way through I saw there was none. I got an extra foot massage (10 minutes) - all she did was hit the bottom of my feet & calves. I told her easy please, I don't think she understood. Oh, & she cut my cuticle on my toe which bled. She get dapping it with a 1/2 a paper towel. That was my first & last time at this salon. You get what you pay for ladies. read more

I'm pretty selective when it comes to nail salons but Danfe Nails has exceeded my expectations. Not only are they meticulous, they are also so kind and truly take care of their customers. They always take the time to remember your name and go above and beyond to ensure that you are happy with your nails. Example: Lola did a phenomenal job with prepping my nails and giving me a dip manicure, perfecting every nail along the way. Unfortunately, I had a little bit of cracking within the week after (first time that happened) and she took the time to completely re-do the cracked nail AND filed/put a nicer top coat on all my other nails. They are truly wonderful and are my go-to in the UES. read more

Staff and owner are wonderful! My nails, not so fantastic. But the owner contacted me after hearing about my complaint and spoke with me and made it right. Customer service is everything now a days. And Wendy who did my nails was very easy to talk to, gentle with my hands and did beautiful nails. Sadly my gel tips fell off after day 7 and chipped after day one.... I'm new to the neighborhood and have been loyal to my nail place for 4 years but I decided to give this place a go and was extremely pleased. The prices were very reasonable; the salon was very clean and comfortable. My technician was super thorough, she didn't rush through my mani pedi like a lot of places do and I LOVED how she shaped my nails. The final test will be how long the gel lasts but overall everyone was very friendly so I was happy with the service. read more

RACIST - serviced white walk-in customers instead of me with an appointment I arrived on time for my appointment. A technician checked out my nails, told me to sit down anywhere and pick my color, and she'd be right with me. There seemed to be two available technicians at the time. Then two white ladies walk in with no appointments (I heard them say so). They were told to sit down and were immediately serviced. I waited 20 min sitting with my color picked but it was clear that no one was going to help me or was even close to finishing their service. I asked the original tech who greeted me how long of a wait it would be. She said another 20 min, which would be 40 min total from my appointment time. She suggested I leave and come back. Why should *I* leave when I had an appointment, over people who walked in?! I was the only non white person in the store so that's the only reason I can think of for this abhorrent behavior. As for the place itself, it looked dingy, they didn't use new tools/files from what I saw, and the color choices were limited - only one "ring" of colors for dip. read more

My go-to nail salon -- Lola does a great job to make sure you're accommodated and happy! Only advice would be to stick to nails vs eyebrow waxing (or if you do get eyebrows waxed, be very specific how much you want taken off). Still my neighborhood favorite. read more

Lola was able to squeeze my mom and I in for walk in manis. She did an excellent job on my gel manicure with great attention to detail! She even suggested a better shade of the initial color I had chosen, which I was much happier with. Moreover, her and the rest of the staff were so kind and friendly. Getting my nails done is the one thing I do for myself every couple of weeks. I am so glad I found Danfe -- I get a reliable gel manicure and spa pedicure and am never disappointed. They recognize me, what my "usual" is, always remember to track my punch card and even gave a gift around the holidays! Good business! Please note: they take their time, never rush and always know to offer a shoulder massage. This is something I really love and appreciate the length of time I am there. Everyone on staff is kind and efficient. The salon clean and intimate. It is a relaxing time to myself that I look forward to! Miss you all during this time -- cant wait to come back. read more

Came on the Monday before Thanksgiving to have my dipped gel manicure removed and a regular gel manicure applied. The service was prompt and friendly--I was very happy the technician was so patient removing the thick layers of dipped gel by soaking my nails and not rushing the process by overfiling. However, the regular gel manicure that was done afterward was very subpar--maybe the worst manicure I've ever had by a professional. The color was bumpy and polish messily applied over my cuticles and onto my fingers even. I was pretty shocked but didn't have time to stay and ask for it be redone. On top of this, a week later it peeled off one finger already. What a disappointment. read more

I love coming here, I've tried many salons in the area and Danfe has the longest lasting regular mani, for an amazing price!! My manicure lasts a good 10 days here. Everyone is extremely friendly and they've installed plexiglass throughout to keep distance and remain safe during these times. If you're looking for a very high quality salon that has great value this is your place. read more

I Have been going here for 5 years and love all the technicians! Lola is the owner and she's the sweetest. Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name... and here on the Upper East Side, that place is not a bar but a nail salon! Walk in and all the ladies will greet you by name, the selection of colors is unbeatable, and a spa mani/pedi is only $26.50. Need more incentive? They give you a short massage both during the manicure and while you're drying. I experimented with many salons during my time in this neighborhood but Danfe had me at "Hello,Jenny" and continues to keep my loyalty after three years of bimonthly mani/pedis. read more

It was a super busy Saturday afternoon and we were a walk-in, but they didn't make us feel unwelcome. We chose our colors as we waited and then got seated fairly quickly. The kid's manicure was only $5, which is more affordable than other places in the area. My toes felt better immediately and they did a nice job on my dry winter cuticles. Would go again. read more

Wonderful service and attention. $31 for regular mani-pedi. Only bummer is that Zoya nail polish is another $4 extra, but I just bring mine. They have the massage chairs for pedis and do a mini back massage (1-2 min) while doing mani to try convince you get the 10 min one, very tempting because she is so good! read more

Had the best nail and overall experience today at Danfe! They did my wedding nails and they turned out beautifully. They pay very close attention to detail. Lola the owner even gave me a new bottle of the Essie polish I got on my toes as a gift so I can touch them up if needed. All of the ladies are so sweet and I will definitely be only coming here for now on, even though I don't live nearby, it's totally worth the commute. Thank you so much Lola and ladies! read more

Stumbled upon this place based on reviews while on a business trip. Super happy I did! The owner was kind, friendly, and did a fantastic job with my nails. There was an amazing array of colors to choose from and they offer a mani/pedi deal for $29! How great is that! My pedi was done by someone else and was very good as well! In an area with an abundance of nail salons where it seems like there is at least 3 per block and a new one constantly opening, it is hard to pick where to go. Let me make that decision easy - GO HERE! This is my go-to nail salon in not only the UES, but the entire city. Walk-in's welcomed here, I have actually only walked in before, and they take me pretty much right away every time, they are open pretty late till 9 pm, so I can go after work and I after I have done errands and things like that, they do a great job, they are very nice and they are SO SO SO affordable. The prices of this place are the absolute best, you will not find better prices anywhere else. They do $25 mani-pedi, a regular mani is $9, a regular pedi is $20! I typically always get a mani-pedi when I come here, which is what I got last night. Like how unbelievable is that. I can't say enough good things about this spot. It is not the most fancy/luxurious, it is small but it is nice and they do a great job. This is about 4 blocks from my apartment, and I always would rather come here, than go to the ones on my block! I have never had their gel or powder manicure before, but I saw someone getting powder yesterday when I was here and it looked great. Not sure on the price of that, but I'm assuming it's a pretty fair price, so think I will come back and try that next time! read more

They also asked me to pay AND TIP before I even got the service done. I have never had a place ask me to tip them, let alone before the service was even completed before. Tipping is a complementary touch, which I always do. I paid $35 (plus the tip they asked me for upfront) for a manicure I will now have to redo myself one day after getting them done. As I got bored with the single color, I asked for an ombre at a random chop shop one day, which was a BIG mistake. Please see the first two pictures. I thought to myself that I might not be able to find someone to do nail designs until I saw my best friend's nails and was introduced to Miki. After going to Miki, my nails became so strong and long, and people are always surprised when I tell them they are my natural nails, with no extensions or anything over them. Miki brought all my nail design visions to life. My question wasn't if she could do it but which five nail designs I wanted to pick that day. She did my nails for my engagement, bridal, wedding, and baby shower, and I would not trust anyone else to do it for all my special occasions. I highly recommend her and trust me; you will not be disappointed.

They asked about my needs and genuinely cared about making me comfortable. I started with a spa pedicure that was absolutely AMAZING -- relaxing, thorough, and without any push to upsell me on extra services (such a relief!). The technician took her time trimming my cuticles, smoothing away calluses, and then treated me to one of the most soothing foot and leg massages I've ever had. Between the warm water and the massage, I honestly didn't want to leave the chair. After my pedicure, I moved on to a French manicure with Cindy. My nails were in rough shape because I hadn't had them done in quite a while, but Cindy approached them with such care, skill, and patience. She was meticulous with my cuticles and clearly experienced -- I didn't have to micromanage anything. She instinctively knew the right length, shape, and tone for my nails, and the results were absolutely beautiful. We finished with hot towels and another relaxing massage -- the perfect final touch. New York City has thousands of nail salons to choose from, but FLAIRE NAILS truly stands out. In this fast-paced city, it's rare to find a place where you can slow down, be treated with genuine warmth and kindness, and walk out feeling pampered with gorgeous nails -- all at very reasonable prices.
