They always take the time to remember your name and go above and beyond to ensure that you are happy with your nails. The prices were very reasonable; the salon was very clean and comfortable. My technician was super thorough, she didn't rush through my mani pedi like a lot of places do and I LOVED how she shaped my nails. RACIST - serviced white walk-in customers instead of me with an appointment I arrived on time for my appointment. A technician checked out my nails, told me to sit down anywhere and pick my color, and she'd be right with me. There seemed to be two available technicians at the time. Then two white ladies walk in with no appointments (I heard them say so). They were told to sit down and were immediately serviced. I waited 20 min sitting with my color picked but it was clear that no one was going to help me or was even close to finishing their service. I asked the original tech who greeted me how long of a wait it would be. She said another 20 min, which would be 40 min total from my appointment time. She suggested I leave and come back. Why should *I* leave when I had an appointment, over people who walked in?! I was the only non white person in the store so that's the only reason I can think of for this abhorrent behavior. As for the place itself, it looked dingy, they didn't use new tools/files from what I saw, and the color choices were limited - only one "ring" of colors for dip. read more

Came on the Monday before Thanksgiving to have my dipped gel manicure removed and a regular gel manicure applied. The service was prompt and friendly--I was very happy the technician was so patient removing the thick layers of dipped gel by soaking my nails and not rushing the process by overfiling. However, the regular gel manicure that was done afterward was very subpar--maybe the worst manicure I've ever had by a professional. The color was bumpy and polish messily applied over my cuticles and onto my fingers even. I was pretty shocked but didn't have time to stay and ask for it be redone. Let me make that decision easy - GO HERE! This is my go-to nail salon in not only the UES, but the entire city. Walk-in's welcomed here, I have actually only walked in before, and they take me pretty much right away every time, they are open pretty late till 9 pm, so I can go after work and I after I have done errands and things like that, they do a great job, they are very nice and they are SO SO SO affordable. The prices of this place are the absolute best, you will not find better prices anywhere else. They do $25 mani-pedi, a regular mani is $9, a regular pedi is $20! I typically always get a mani-pedi when I come here, which is what I got last night. Like how unbelievable is that. I can't say enough good things about this spot. It is not the most fancy/luxurious, it is small but it is nice and they do a great job. This is about 4 blocks from my apartment, and I always would rather come here, than go to the ones on my block! I have never had their gel or powder manicure before, but I saw someone getting powder yesterday when I was here and it looked great. Not sure on the price of that, but I'm assuming it's a pretty fair price, so think I will come back and try that next time! read more
