To be fair, the $1900 estimate came from a place with a "show room" displaying various models of units and speakers, which is something Sound Tech and Tint doesn't provide. But what they did provide was the same end result, for about 40% less! I saved over $700. In addition to that, the guys at Sound Tech were much more personable than the Sudley Road guy, and they took the time to break down and explain the costs line by line beforehand. After the fact, they took the time to familiarize me with my new system by sitting with me and answering any and all questions I had, which was much appreciated since I was new to CarPlay. I have no hesitation in recommending them!

All sorts of horrific things were likely to happen. But Tim's had enough recent experience with EVs to know with the 12V batteries (not the Lithium Ion 16V or higher in some news EVs) - it was likely to work just fine. He whipped up a quote based on experience, and gave me the peace of mind to say, "Hey if it doesn't work - we'll customize according to some of the specs you're seeing online". Great! So I dropped it off a few months ago, the install went swimmingly and as planned, and I've had it thumping the hell outta my car ever since with not a single complain from the car's battery management system. JR Customs is owned and operated by Jermaine Hamlin. Jermaine used to work at Sure Fit in Clarendon which specializes in car interiors. I had a few things done by Jermaine to my car which included; satellite radio, high intensity headlights and leather interior. Beware of hiring Jermaine to do any auto work on your car. If something goes wrong with any part of the installation it will become ridiculously difficult to get a hold of Jermaine. Jermaine attempted to install aftermarket headlights in my car, but after about six attempts and many hours of my time wasted, the headlights still do not work. So now I have been driving around with one working headlight for over 3 months. I guess in Jermaine's mind its better to make a quick buck then to back up the quality of his work. Since Jermaine has not been able to fix his poor workmanship, he has apparently decided to ignore all my calls and messages. This guy is a complete amateur, but not only that, he does not back up his work. It is not the consumer's problem when a product does not function correctly. Jermaine should have fixed my headlights or restored them to their factory settings. Now I am out hundreds of dollars and I have to hire someone else to fix my car. Don't hire Jermaine or JR Customs unless you want a lot of frustration. It's worth a few extra bucks to take your car to a reputable shop.
