Just dreadful. Ordered a hot corned beef sandwich that should have come with coleslaw. It was a few slices of room temperature meat on dry light rye bread. Bread wasn't toasted, not even a bit of mayo on the bread, some bland chips and the slaw never happened. Not even mustard on the table which usually goes with corned beef. Wasn't socially in a situation to send it back but noticed other person I dined with ate barely anything. She had chicken tenders that looked seriously overdone. Took half the sandwich home. Added condiments and grilled it and it was fine, but I was paying someone out back at Cosmos to do the same thing and they obviously didn't care enough to bother. Not many places beyond pizza shops in this area but I'd never go back here. They note they cater to seniors, I'm a senior. Certainly felt I was anything but catered to. read more

To the lady in 10/11 review. I understand what you mean, but this may help. My Father took me there & I was afraid. He is the meanest Scrooge who yells at the waitresses & then stiffs them on their tip. Or leaves a meager tip. Because this diner has a major senior clientele, I can see why they become disgruntled. Most of them are older themselves, it is a thankless job for a very low wage & low tips since the menu is so inexpensive.... To be treated w/contempt if their food is not to their liking is horrific. The waitress did not cook the food! How much does it cost to be polite & treat the server w/respect? Or leave a reasonable tip? Keep that in mind... The food I had was excellent as I love Greek food! The prices can't be beat and a gorgeous array of desserts! read more

They sell their coffee mugs for $3. Don't be fooled, though. They're used. I've also, since this review, witnessed a roach chillin' in my sister's salad. Free dessert was apparently supposed to make up for that. Still *sigh* I will inevitably return. read more

Still haven't made it here for breakfast but I've been very pleased with their dinners. The chicken pot pie was very good. The dessert was a little dry. I think it was Cheesecake. The dinner was good enough to bring me back though! read more

Normally, I would rate this restaurant a little higher. However, for the third time when ordering takeout, my order was wrong. I ordered a Rueben, no sauerkraut or russian dressing because if I don't order as Rueben, the bread won't be grilled. I received my sandwich with sauerkraut and no cheese. I despise sauerkraut so my meal was not eaten.. My money was wasted. Folks answering phone need to listen and correctly write up orders. Totally ruined my evening. read more

The restaurant is very bright, looked clean, and there seemed to be plenty of waitstaff present. We love Greek diner food, so we anticipated a positive experience. The menu options were average. The Greek salad I ordered was just meh - mostly iceberg lettuce, a few chopped green peppers and onions and a half of a winter tomato. There was only one dolma included. The feta cheese was tasty, but if a Greek restaurant is capable of only a sub-standard Greek salad then I won't be back to try anything else. read more

Have lived by this place for 15 years and have only been a handful of times because you never know what you will get here. I begged my boyfriend to get breakfast for takeout even though our last experience we said we would never be back. To get takeout here is ridiculous. You stand around with no organization. Waitresses coming up to get their tips, meanwhile you stand there for 10 minutes while they try to find someone to check you out after you called the order in 30 minutes ago. I get home to find out $20 later they forgot my bacon, cheese on the omelet, and burnt toast. They need to get it together. I won't be back read more

I was in town last week for business and a colleague told me to try this place for dinner. The place was busy but I was sat quickly and saw a server pretty fast. I ended up ordering a steak, it was cooked exactly how I like it, medium rare which I try to order at other places back home and it often comes over cooked. The steak was huge and the sides were really good. Overall, the server was friendly and quick and it seemed like all the other people around were being attended to. Its a nice authentic Greek restaurant. I'd definitely suggest the Spanakopita, which is a spinach and cheese wrap. Its a vegetarian dish, but I'm a meat eater and I still loved it. Its one of the best dishes on the menu. The chicken croquettes are a little dry, but still very good. I order them a lot. They have a chicken and dumpling night too, and you get a LOT so come here hungry. You can buy milkshakes here too, and while you don't get much they're very very good. If you do come here I'd suggest sticking with the Greek dishes and the diner food, as the other stuff can be kind of bland. They also have a wide variety of pies and desrts. So far I've just had the cheese cake, and it was okay. Nothing special, but I'd buy it again. I personally really like the decor here. It has that diner feel, but I can see why other people would think it looks a bit dated. Service is a bit slow, but the waitresses can be entertaining. read more

I have heard good things and pass by this place often, so my wife and I decided to try it out. The last diner we ate at Crossroads, on Kirkwood highway was a dump and so was the food. Upon entering and self seating we waited for 10 minutes before the waitress acknowledged us. My wife ordered the veal parmigiana with spaghetti and I ordered the butterflied shrimp with 2 sides, stewed tomatoes and scalloped potatoes, they were out of the scalloped potatoes, so I needed to pick again, I tried the Mac and cheese. We waited another 10-15 minutes before the entrees were served. My wife's dish was steaming hot and mine just looked bland. I tried the Mac and cheese and immediately tasted the lukewarm bland globular lump on my plate. I immediately summoned the waitress over and told her. She took my dish and returned in 5 minutes, while I sat and watched my wife enjoy her meal I mentioned it would be nice if we could eat together. My reheated dish was returned and the Mac and cheese was about 5 degrees warmer. I summoned the waitress again and told her to remove the disgusting lump of globular blandness from my plate. She again apologized and asked if I wanted to replace it. I took the spinach and rice and it was no better. They made up for the disgusting food and miserable service by offering me a free desert. We thought. Wow, what a nice gesture. The cake was served chocolate with peanut butter cream. It was stale and also bland. I do not recommend this diner and will never return. I am going to feed the cake to the birds first thing tomorrow morning. read more

My wife and I ate here, as we missed having diners where we moved from and read other good reviews. My wife enjoyed the Greek entree and my fried flounder was very good also. I imagine they have very good breakfasts, and we will go back again for either that or dinner. read more
