This food was SO good! Specifically the beef kofta! Yes!!!!!!!!!! The guys behind the counter were fast & friendly, the place was clean. I do suggest a beef kofta & lamb meal option. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. Thank y'all!

The discovery of this amazing eatery came down to pure luck, location, and other reviews but I will be back because the entire lunch experience was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! First, don't come with a group of friends because there is no room for groups but if you are meeting a friend for lunch or doing lunch alone you can't go wrong!! SUPERB SERVICE ... the two gentlemen who were behind the counter were helpful and so friendly! I loved being able to carry on a conversation throughout the meal and their concern with whether or not we enjoyed lunch. Actually, I should point out that the meal I purchased at Ny Gyro & Grill was both my lunch and dinner because the portion of their delicious food was enough to serve as both meals. I went with the recommendation, which was perfectly prepared and had a great flavor but when offered their homemade hot sauce I definitely added it! Another plus for some their meat is halal!

Finally tried this place after eyeing it for so long :) First off the people who work here are extremely nice. I ordered the lamb over rice which was $11 My husband got the cheesesteak combo which was $15 for a huge cheesesteak, peppers and onions with small cup of fries and a soda. This place has indoor seating and a few tables outside. We waited for a bit since they were busy for lunch time. You can customize your lamb and rice order. I opted for the salad and veggies + white sauce but didn't want the red sauce. They give you so much fun! My take away was piled high with rice and lamb pieces :) it was so so good. The lamb was freshly off the grill, had great flavor and the sauce that came with it! So good. I wish there was more veggies but I'll ask for more next time. I can't wait to go back and try other items :) My husband enjoyed his cheesesteak as well! The fries were a bit soggy but that's okay. Overall solid place. I had leftovers the next day too! What a deal

I got a lamb Gyro. This was good. $8.50, you know I like that. I said I didn't need a fork. The nice man behind the counter said I did. He was correct. It is hard to see in the video but there is Pita bread on the bottom. I ate a lot of it with my fork standing on the side of the road. I ate the rest like a traditional gyro at home. $8.50, big and a lot of Tzatziki sauce made this Gyro very good. 4.8 rating on google maps on over 400 reviews, that's impressive.

I love the lamb over rice from here but this time I got the chicken and lamb over rice.. and I didn't like the chicken much. Overall good food! Their masala fries are tooooo yummy!!!!

Not only is the food wonderful but the portions are generous! Top it off with a kind and pleasant staff!

Right across the street from Archmere high school. There is no doubt that the students here will develop a strong sense of fondness for halal street style food. Lamb over rice is very good. Gives Halal Guys a run for their money. The veggie salad selection is unique to this joint. You just point to whatever you want and they load it up. Beef kofta was a little on the dry side but the white sauce fixed that issue. Chicken tikka was juicy and flavorful. They also include focaccia bread instead of pita. I prefer pita but it still pairs decently. Each plate runs you about $12. Call your order in ahead of time. It took them about 30 mins to crank out my order on a Friday evening after work. This place had a steady stream of customers coming and going. Very popular amongst the local Claymonsters

From the outside, it doesn't look like much; in fact, it looks like a bit of a dive from outside. But when you walk in, you are transported. The design of the restaurant is so special - community tables, pillows, tapestries, waterfall features, tiles, and belly dancing. The food was a little inconsistent. We shared many dishes: Bastilla (baked layers of filo dough, eggs, chicken, almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar); hummus (chickpeas, tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice, sprinkled with paprika and olive oil, served with pita bread); Spanakopita; salad trio (eggplant salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and carrot salad); lamb tagine (stew of lamb, onions, and roasted peppers topped with honey and served with rice); Moroccan chicken with harissa cumin sauce; mujaddara (cracked bulgur wheat cooked with lentils and caramelized onions); and mint tea. I wish they didn't serve bottled waters, and the food was mostly good but not the most consistent. Our mujaddara wasn't served with the yogurt sauce listed on the menu, and the lamb with the tagine was incredibly fatty, making some of it inedible. The mint tea was really really really sweet - like syrup! I also wish the bastilla had a little less powdered sugar (I like on the dish, but it was A LOT of powdered sugar), and it was quite dry. But the eggplant salad, carrot salad, hummus, and mujaddara (even without the yogurt sauce) were great. I would happily have eaten just those dishes. They were busy - it's a popular place - but service was also a challenge. It took us almost a half hour to get the check and pay. I had to ask for the bill twice and then it still took a while to get it, for it to get picked up, and for it to come back to us. It's pretty bad if I'm considering walking up to the bar to get the check and pay. I loved the ambiance and the character. I loved that you can't tell how amazing it's going to be inside when you see the outside of the building - it's a surprise for sure. Our experience was that the food was a bit inconsistent, but it certainly was a fun meal.

I love when this happens…read more With no agenda, we ended up in West Chester PA (vs Westchester NY.) A cute town with an inordinate number of restaurants, we peered into windows and read menus. "The Mediterranean Restaurant" sparked interest. Infusing Lebanese and Italian cuisines, they garnered great reviews. Also BYOB. After running to Carlinos for a bottle of red, we took our chances at Mediterranean without a reservation. (Do indeed make one if you come for dinner.) I chatted with the couple across from us. "This is the best restaurant in West Chester," the fellow said. They live here and have been to them all. We started with what's called a Maza Platter: customer's choice of four appetizers. I selected feta & olives, tabouli, hummus and baba ghanoush. Delish!! (Unlike my husband, I wasn't a fan of feta, but this feta was infinitely better than anything I've had before.) The spreads are made inhouse. The cheese isn't. T raved about the lamb kabob, which was likely grilled. I in turn recommend their falafel encrusted chicken. Chef isn't afraid to spice things up and everything was noticeably fresh. Even the sides were stand-out. The aforementioned couple recommended Mediteranean's apple pie for dessert, a seemingly odd choice. They said it's baked in the restaurant's adjoining bakery. Since they ran out of ice cream -- what's pie if it's not a la mode?! -- T and I shared baklava. Two thumbs up. Homemade, not saturated in syrup. I'd like to give a shoutout to Jason, our delightful and efficient server. He does the restaurant proud. Note that Mediterranean has been in West Chester for 29 years. (That's a virtual lifetime in the restaurant world!) Prices we thought reasonable, and portions generous.

The pitas are cold and tasted worse than what you can get at Giant. Sautéed mushrooms are flavorless and in a mushroom water. Meat pie tasted like unseasoned, old meat with tomatoes. The entrees weren't any better. Ran out of beef. Not sure how one does that on a day with like 3 tables. Tried the special soup, which we sent back. The bolognese was gross. Tasted sort of like Chef Boyardee, but worse. The had to argue with the "chef" to even take it off the tab. She suggested we'd be better off eating at home. We agree. McDonald's would have been a step up. It seems like they just don't have any spices or salt in that kitchen. Plus the servers would just disappear for ages. It appeared that this was our server's first job in food service. Service was rather slow. And hour in, no entrées. It's in an hold house, which was cute. Most tables are upstairs. If you want Mediterranean food, you'd be better off cooking something from the Betty Crocker cookbook.
