They deserve every 5 star review so far. I was traveling thru and wanted something different so this place caught my eye. First bite, I was in love! The place is very clean and the service was excellent. I had the chicken Adana which had the best seasoning. Came with a salad, bread, fries and rice. Even the rice was perfection. Highly recommend!!

I've been to Istanbul Grill a few times now and I'm consistently impressed. The staff here are genuinely friendly; warm and welcoming every time. The food is fresh and tasty. We ordered the chicken shawarma and the mixed grill, and both were absolutely delicious with those authentic Turkish spices done just right. Portions are large! We literally couldn't finish our meals and had to take food home. The restaurant itself is small but has a really cozy atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering how much food you get and the quality you're receiving. They do not serve alcohol. The only two items for improvement: the savory yogurt drink (ayran) was served in a 10 ounce commercial plastic bottle (not made at the restaurant) - it was ok, not great; the Turkish tea was ok, I would prefer having a tea made with a better brand like Ahmad In sum, a small casual place, massive portions, great service and fresh authentic food. I will be back. Recommended

The borek came out hot and flaky, with that perfect balance of crispy outside and soft, cheesy inside. The lahmacun was thin, slightly crispy, and packed with flavor the mix of lamb and spices hit without feeling heavy. Then came the Istanbul Mix Grill, and this is where they really stand out. You get a full spread lamb chops, Adana, chicken, kofta, gyro and everything actually tasted amazing. The lamb chops were juicy, the Adana had a nice kick, and the chicken was tender and well seasoned. Portions are generous easily enough for two. We finished with baklava, kunefe, and Turkish coffee. The baklava was solid, but the kunefe is the one you don't skip warm, cheesy, slightly sweet, and fresh. Paired with the Turkish coffee, it was the perfect way to end the meal. Service was fast, and everyone was genuinely friendly. They didn't just take orders they actually helped guide us on what pairs well together, which made the experience better overall. Price wise it's worth it. Not overpriced for the amount and quality of food you're getting. The vibe is casual and family friendly, but still flexible you can come here with friends to hang out and talk, or even make it a solid date night spot. What stood out most is that there were no weak links across everything we ordered and that's rare when you try this many dishes. If you're coming here, don't play it safe. Get the mix grill, try a couple appetizers, and finish with kunefe especially with the ice cream on top!

Dinner and a show, I'm down! The show was good, but the food was just fine. Everything leaned too sweet for my liking. Our group of 4 got the $30 each 7 course family style meal. From the outside, it doesn't look like much; in fact, it looks like a bit of a dive from outside. But when you walk in, you are transported. The design of the restaurant is so special - community tables, pillows, tapestries, waterfall features, tiles, and belly dancing. The food was a little inconsistent. We shared many dishes: Bastilla (baked layers of filo dough, eggs, chicken, almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar); hummus (chickpeas, tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice, sprinkled with paprika and olive oil, served with pita bread); Spanakopita; salad trio (eggplant salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and carrot salad); lamb tagine (stew of lamb, onions, and roasted peppers topped with honey and served with rice); Moroccan chicken with harissa cumin sauce; mujaddara (cracked bulgur wheat cooked with lentils and caramelized onions); and mint tea. I wish they didn't serve bottled waters, and the food was mostly good but not the most consistent. Our mujaddara wasn't served with the yogurt sauce listed on the menu, and the lamb with the tagine was incredibly fatty, making some of it inedible. The mint tea was really really really sweet - like syrup! I also wish the bastilla had a little less powdered sugar (I like on the dish, but it was A LOT of powdered sugar), and it was quite dry. But the eggplant salad, carrot salad, hummus, and mujaddara (even without the yogurt sauce) were great. I would happily have eaten just those dishes. They were busy - it's a popular place - but service was also a challenge. It took us almost a half hour to get the check and pay. I had to ask for the bill twice and then it still took a while to get it, for it to get picked up, and for it to come back to us. It's pretty bad if I'm considering walking up to the bar to get the check and pay. I loved the ambiance and the character. I loved that you can't tell how amazing it's going to be inside when you see the outside of the building - it's a surprise for sure. Our experience was that the food was a bit inconsistent, but it certainly was a fun meal.
