Had the margaritas pizza and Rojo tone both were excellent. We ate it at the restaurant so im not certain if it would hold up for take out since it is so thin but why else would you not want to eat on site when they have a cool beer bar as well. Staff is friendly while it might be a bit loud it is good for groups and family. Prices are reasonable and the place is very welcoming. read more

We ordered a Margarita Pizza and a Kale salad. The pizza is spot on delicious! Just the right amount of cheese and basil. Quality ingredients for sure! The Kale salad was good too. Hard to believe you're eating something so healthy. We had to try the Key Lime ice cream. We thought it was oat milk base. Our fault for not asking! Last time we were here we ordered a matcha flavor ice cream that was made from oatmilk. Delicious! Today the Keylime was more of a sherbet and tart. My friends and I decided to stop here for some pizza and ordered the Rojo tone pizza and the meatballs for the appetizer. The pizza was really good as were the meatballs. If you're looking for a good pizza place I would highly recommend. You do have to find your own seating, which can be tough which a larger group as you have to wait for the tables to open up and constantly be checking for them. We had a few separate orders and were waiting for our ranch. When we asked the waiter for the ranch we didn't receive, he asked if we were lying because he saw ranch at our table. I told him that we had multiple separate orders and that was another groups ranch and he apologized. That would be probably the only negative I had from this experience. Came in on a Saturday evening. It wasn't too busy but it was very loud. I could hardly hear the person across from me talk. You order at the counter up front and seat yourself. They hand you a number and bring the food out to you. Service was excellent. There was staff coming around frequently checking on us and picking up empty plates. We ordered a 16" Rojo Tone and a Caesar Salad. Both were great. The dough on the pizza was perfect. Very soft. The ingredients went well together also. I'd previously heard of cosmos but had never stepped inside until I saw that they were having specials for Valentine's Day and was opening an hour early in typical. It wasn't hard to convince my boyfriend to drive us there and wait until they opened and it seemed like a lot of other people had similar ideas as they were clearly busy for a Saturday at 3 PM. The interior is like a renovated brick and wood house, with a tight front entrance and a wide backside patio. We ordered off of their specials which were dozen oysters and Hamachi Crudo, and of course, their famous kale Caesar salad. The cashier was very friendly and even offered to make one of these special cocktails I ordered into a spritz with Prosecco, which was a great call. It didn't take long before we were served and we were over the moon with the taste of everything! I come here at least once a month and am never disappointed. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between classic and comfirtable with beautiful high ceilings inside and a fun patio outside. The pizza is some of the best in town--I always try the specials. Ialso love their kale salad and charred carrots. The wine selection is small, but you can trust it to be good. I always debate between a glass of wine and a draft negroni, but their spritzes are good too. Staff is always friendly and helpful if you need recommendations. Limited beer selection, nothing special. House red is decent. Ordered and food and drinks came up quick. The star is definitely the pizza and their Roasted Cauliflower. Even if you're not into the veggie thing, this may change your mind. Whole head of cauliflower seasoned with herbed tahini, chili crunch, pistachio, and fresh herbs, pops with flavor but not over the top. Being a pizzaholic, I'm a little picky (an East Coast thing ;-O..) The best of show was the Rojo Tone, thin, soft crust topped with red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, red onion, pickled jalapeño, fresh basil and hot honey (though this isn't on the ingredient list). My first experience at Cosmos was through a Yelp food crawl event and upon returning it was just as good as I remembered! For my first time back since, we went as a group of 7 and arrived right a 4pm for Happy Hour when they opened. It was surprisingly busy at the time and we were able to grab a few tables and get in line to order. It's kind of a tight space and this time of year, while there are heaters outside it's a little too chilly to be on the patio. We got negronis, kale caesar salad, the cauliflower, meatballs, carrots, a margarita, a rojo tone, and a pepperoni pizza. The negronis were tasty and easy to drink, the cauliflower sauce was really good: creamy and a little spicy. I enjoyed that the meatballs were not just beef and the marinara sauce they were in was light and flavorful. The carrots and the labneh were a good combination since the carrots themselves are so flavorful. My favorite had to be the kale caesar salad though. it looks so cool in the little bowl and is nicely dressed with parmesan cheese and a creamy caesar dressing. I could totally just have pizza and salad while sipping on a negroni and it'd be a great dinner! Of the pizzas the rojo tone was my fave. I really enjoyed the salty and sweet heat of the honey and jalapeños. On all the pizzas the crust was nice and chewy and was great to dip in either the marinara from the meatballs or some ranch. It is extra but the ranch is worth getting! To end it all we had their seasonal soft serve flavors of chai and egg nog. Flavor-wise they tasted very similar but the chai was a little icier and the egg nog was a little creamier. We also had one version where we added bourbon to the egg nog and it made it like a boozy egg nog milkshake, super good! I'm already looking forward to the next time I can visit! read more

This is one of the best pizza places in Reno in my opinion! My girlfriend and I got to check the place out during the first week they opened a couple of years ago. Location is perfect for Midtown. Street parking is free but we often try to walk it down the street. The interior is nice and clean. The first pizza we tried was the special with a kale and white cheese sauce that turned out so good we ate the whole pie in one sitting. The dough was the right balance of fresh and crispy. The servers are nice and helpful into choosing the right pie for your party. There is also water; distilled, regular and seltzer on tap! along with other wine and beer choices. The cocktail menu is nice for those who don't mind the taste of the mixed butters but it fits well with the pizza ingredients. This time around we tried the Spritz with Italics as our choice witThey change their special every week so when we came back this time they had a a red tomato based sauce with chorizo, jalapeños and picked onions. It tasted like you were eating a fresh bolognese cooked with love by someone's Nona. So far this place has been one of our favorites to stop by in after work. They have been working on setting up their patio so I can't wait to see how business is like during the colder months. I can't believe I haven't done a review for Cosmos Snack Bar yet. It is literally my wife's favorite place, so much of a favorite place that she celebrated her birthday here. We have been several times and almost every time we sit at the bar. The staff is always at a friendly bustling pace. The feeling of the place is very european. The space is cozy while at the same time open and sleek. The menu is focused. Just a handful of great appetizers and unique pizza combinations, accompanied by a really good and specific selection of alcoholic drinks; local beers on tap, excellent spirit forward craft cocktails and some unique wines. We almost always get at least one of the Negroni's, either a shot or a full cocktail it always goes well with the food. And speaking of the food....we have had most of the appetizers as many of the pizzas. The last time there we shared the seasonal salad, carrots, a margarita pizza, a negroni and got our own desserts. She got the affogato and BOY was that fantastic. I also loved my yuzu ice cream as well. But the whole menu is excellent. The roasted Cauliflower is one of the MAIN stars on the menu. We of course will go back because we have already so many times before. Note: Parking sucks so be willing to walk a block or two to get there. Get your own water. Great pizza at a good price, even better on a Sunday. So Sundays are half of the 2nd pizza. My parents have a place in Reno, but tend to go to the same places all the time and I was up to visit. I took them hear knowing full well they are picky about pizza, typically prefer Napolitano style pizza. Everyone loved it. In a way, it's similar to Napolitano style and flavors, being that it is really thin, quality ingredients, soft and light, but I'm pretty sure its not 00 flour and its much larger than a Napolitano style pizza. The staff was friendly, it had a cool vibe, and I enjoyed the use of empty large tomato cans to hold the pizzas above the tables. I will be back when I visit, but I'm sure it will be a new regular spot for my parents and aunt. read more
