I love coming here for a quick bite to eat during the week. It's right by my apartment and it's usually not too busy. We decided to order a medium 'Everything' Pizza. It was perfect for two people and we still had some to take home. The 'Everything' Pizza is basically a combination pizza, but better! Loaded with toppings and even whole cloves of roasted garlic. YUM. What's cool about this place is they have a pizza of the month. The one they were showcasing was a macaroni and cheese style crust! I might have to go back and try it, it sounds intriguing. They have specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and NA drinks. As well as fountain drinks. You order everything at the counter, take a number and your food is brought out to you when ready. Came here for dinner on a Monday night and it was pretty empty, there was only 1-2 other tables. I ordered the slice and beer combo. They gave me my beer first and I sat and waited for my pizza. 20 minutes pass and they come to tell me they accidentally burned the pizza, and said they are remaking it. I appreciate the honesty instead of making up some excuse. I finally go my pizza, it was huge! Honestly 1 slice should be enough to fill up most people. When I walked inside Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub, it is a very nice contemporary pub. Long tables are available throughout the dining areas for large groups. The ordering process is simple, just go to the counter, look at the menu, order and wait for the food. I figured I would try their: The Everything Pizza: this pizza had tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, black olives, mushrooms, tri-color peppers, red onions, and roasted garlic. Sounds like can't miss pizza with so much on it. But I found everything from the toppings to the sauce to be bland. I was offered ranch dressing when receiving my pizza and it was absolutely necessary. Mediocre pizza at best. But on the positive the waitress I ordered at the counter from was very nice. What once was a favorite pizza parlor, is no more. Maybe new management, not sure, but things have gone downhill. Ordered a beer and a slice. Fair price but the draft beer selection is very limited. Ordered a combo slice and took a seat. 35 minutes later the pizza arrived. The server apologized as the crust was badly burnt. He offered to have the order made again but chose not to as we didn't have 35 minutes to spare. Ate what we could but was not what we were expecting nor what we ordered. We live pretty close to Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub. I didn't feel like cooking, we'd had this pizza before, and while we weren't insanely impressed, we decided to give it another shot. Second time here? Yeah, pretty mid. We got a large pepperoni pizza with white sauce and a side of garlic knots. The total came out to around $50, which honestly just didn't feel worth it. The pizza tasted like a pile of grease - floppy, oily, and kind of bland. If there's a next time, I'd probably go for a plain cheese pizza with regular red sauce instead. The garlic knots were fine - nothing to write home about. One thing I do think is interesting though is that they give you honey for the crust. It's kind of weird at first, but it actually works. The crust is probably the best part of the whole experience, at least for the taste buds. The real saving grace here is the service. Every time we've been, the staff is super friendly and attentive. They're the kind of people who make you want to like the food more than you actually do. Overall, we probably won't be back unless we're desperate and don't feel like leaving the neighborhood. If someone gave me the pizza for free, I'd eat it. But would I spend $50 again for mid-pizza? Definitely not. I'd say save your money and go to R-Town instead. read more

Love the location of this joint. It is close to my home that I can bike there. It is in the middle of a residential area so feel safer locking my bike up here rather than a place down town. They have a lot of seating including inside and out and a bar. I a pint and a slice. It came with two slices of their everything pizza and a nice IPA. Also gave my free ranch. We decided to try something different for pizza a few weeks ago. My partner and I were looking forward to an evening of pizza as the weather warmed up but wanted something a little less happening than our usual Midtown spots. We ordered a large pizza, half pepperoni and black olive, and half Hawaiian. We were the only customers there that evening, besides a few take out orders, which was perfect as it allowed our kiddo to explore the paintings and play the board games in a calm but fun atmosphere. The bartender was very friendly, and we both enjoyed giant, ice-cold beers. One unique and delightful touch was the honey available at the table, which was a hit for all of us, especially our little one. The honey was delicious for dipping pizza crust. It's a great place to visit when it's not busy, providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience. While the prices are a bit high, it's hard to find reasonably priced pizza in Reno, unless you do franchise pizza which is not our style. Honey on the crust is truly the best thang ever! If you love honey like I do, a nice drizzle over the whole pizza is delish! Little weird the chef ate a piece but at least he left me the crust to dip in honey just kidding, I ate before my phone did. Cocktails, honestly just don't even try. Get a pint with your pizza like I should have done. I don't know who gave the go ahead on the pepperoncini martini but they should not have. I was just curious and had to try. Then I got a beer like I should have. Place is older but clean, server was nice, there are a handful of TVs playing replays of sports. The bar is well lit, with only pigs on the top shelf. Nobody acknowledged us when we came in, even though staff acknowledged someone who came in behind me before helping me, I'm not sure what their deal was. I had to flag someone down just to get help. After that, we were told it would be about another 30 minutes, even though it had already been around 30 minutes from when I placed the order to the time I arrived. I overheard multiple customers complaining about the wait for both dine in and takeout, and some people ended up getting up and leaving. It wasn't that busy, so I assume this location was understaffed, which is disappointing because I've had amazing experiences at the South Meadows location. The pizza was just alright very oily and tough, though the crust was soft. The cheesy garlic bread was cold, and the tomato sauce wasn't my cup of tea since it was very sweet. We ordered a medium size Red Sauce * Mozzarrella * Pepperoni * Mushrooms * Red Onions ($24) with Buffalo Chicken Chips ($13) on the Friday Nov 24th around 6 pm. The pizza arrived with a very very small amount of sauce and 12 pepperoni's. OMG, it was flavorless and it was $24. We could have gotten 3 pizzas from Dominos for that price and it would have tasted better and that's not saying much. The buffalo Chicken Chips were a little bit tastier, but again, the chicken was almost non existent and the crust was Burnt. Nuff Said ... We're done. If you're patient and have the time to actually talk to someone from here about any issues with your order, I would go but I don't think it's worth the hassle and the food should be right the first time. Pretty disappointed. Ordered through DoorDash and sometimes they're not the most reliable so our food waited around for probably an hour. That's not the restaurants fault and we ordered some pizza, wings, and a salad. Everything was ok but the pizza was very burnt as was most of the garlic. And my salad doesn't say it comes with cheese but when I got it was covered in feta. I can't have cheese but the salad still looked really good, and when I called twice no one answered and I hung up out of frustration after waiting on the line for 10 minutes. Love this location in Midtown! This was our first time here but I notice it every time I go to Coffeebar-which is right next door. We have been to to South Reno location but I like this one better due to the fact it's larger and the cozy neighborhood. Thick pizza crust is not my favorite but they do it really well here. Man, what's up WG?!? Usually this is our go to pizza place, but the last couple times have been disappointing. Last time we went and service and quality was off, we assumed it was just that one time. We arrived tonight around 6:20 and placed our orders at the counter. Husband asked for super light cheese on his pizza, "like barely any cheese," two side salads, a bbq chicken pizza w/extra cilantro, and asked we for a beer, a paloma and wine. No beers on tap, the only beers they had were four choices in a bottle (which is fine, but it's pretty limited), no grapefruit for a Paloma, and one type of wine. I just got water. The water tasted like a mix of plastic and chemicals. The two side salads arrived as one giant salad (no biggie, but again, it's not what was ordered), very light cheese pizza arrived smothered in cheese, even if you like cheese, this was a gross amount. The server stared at us like she was totally confused, checking the receipt that stated "light cheese" and asked if we wanted another... ummm, yeah, that's why we said "super light cheese, like barely any cheese," or why would we say it? I didn't mention the salads, I just divvied it up. Bbq chicken pizza "with extra cilantro arrived," again, so much cheese it was kind of gross, and alas, no cilantro. Our pizza was also super soggy underneath... The servers were nice, but zero enthusiasm towards patrons or zero urgency to amend messed up orders. They seemed confused and lacked attention to detail, like basic things like utensils or giving ppl salads before pizza. They actually tried to give the pizza my husband sent back to the table next to us which they too sent back because it wasn't their pizza. They asked where were their salads after their pizza had been delivered. Mind you there's a total of four tables now, and two servers and what I could see a couple cooks in the back kitchen. The place was not busy. And that to me falls on the shoulders of management. Train your staff, set expectations, set standards, refill food items out of stock, replace or fix things, I mean, this isn't a large restaurant with a lot of moving parts. I don't know honestly if I'd return. The lack of attention and the blasé attitudes was disappointing, food quality the last couple times hasn't been what it used to be, and just the repetitive "we are out of that," "the beer taps aren't connected," or blank stares when the wrong food is delivered, again, that's the owner or management's job. A couple people lately told us they stopped going to due to the poor service and quality is good one time, poor the other. You can see, I'm a pretty generous Yelper, but tonight was super annoying. $68 for mediocre service and food. Not cool. We've had two birthday parties and a high school graduation celebration on the patio in the past, and quite a few dinners with family and friends... But now I think I agree with others, it's not what it used to be... too bad, we used to love WG. read more

I realize these are crazy times and I am trying desperately to do my part to support businesses that are doing takeout and curbside, but my experience with curbside and take out have just been dismal. Now add to the mix the hubs picked up Pizza at Wild Garlic and they did not provide any ranch dressing after I specifically asked for just Ranch, no peppers or honey required. I called back to ask them to be more careful in the future and they wanted to know if I wanted to drive all the way back to pick it up. Again, not my idea of service recovery. One star today My favorite pizza place. Love the Wild Garlic pizza with Wild Garlic sauce, mozzarella cheese, chicken, red onions, pepperoncinis, roasted garlic, and grated Parmesan. Served with or without the ranch dressing, it's a hot, garlicky, sumptuous, munch fest. The hubs prefers the Everything with Al's tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, black olives, mushrooms, tri-color peppers, red onions, and roasted garlic. Happy, contented sounds follow as he enjoys this one. I also ordered the individual Caesar salad with crispy romaine hearts, shredded Parmesan, and herbed croutons, tossed with Creamy Caesar. It's big enough for two. Fresh crispy greens and a Caesar dressing that is perfectly spiced. Lest I forget, remember to save the crust for dessert. Dip the ample crust in honey for another taste treat or order one of their knots orders. Either way you will not leave hungry. Staff here is friendly and courteous. I have read some mixed reviews which made me hesitant to order from here. I decided to give it a shot and was pleased with how everything turned out! I was ordering for a group of 6 and was unsure how many pizzas to get and what sizes to order. A previous review mentioned that a medium pizza could feed 2 people. I decided to go with two mediums and one large which was the perfect amount! Everyone ate and we still had leftovers. We got the garlic knots as an appetizer and then three pizzas: Wild Garlic, The Everything, and Margherita! All our food came out to just under $100 which I thought was good for 6 people. The Everything was probably my favorite because of all the toppings and the subtle garlic undertones. The Wild Garlic was also really good but the slices were pretty thin and kind of stuck to the box underneath, making some of the slices fall apart. The side of ranch for dipping was so good! They are also known for sides of honey to drizzle over your pizza. The crust is thick and doughy, so the pizza ends up being more filling than you'd expect. Other reviews mentioned their crusts being too dark or even burnt, but ours were cooked ok and only one was a little bit dark. I would not say this was the best pizza in Reno, but I had a good experience and would come back again! read more

We were supposed to go to Blind onion at Victoria Ave but we can't get through because of Hot August Nights. So we end up here. We came back as promised. We ordered the garlic knot and Plato's pie again. But added the Popeye's this time. The friendly lady wasn't in today. We decided to order to-go so we can enjoy it. The garlic knot are freshly made and very tasty. Love this place. When we finally arrived home, I noticed we only got 1 pizza and I tried calling the Mt.Rose location but no one is answering my call. Wild Garlic is tucked away so nicely I never would've known it was there if not for a friend. They have pizza by the pie and some by the slice specials that I thought was pretty cool, and they also have a special pizza of the month on top of the regular menu.
