Be cautious, especially if you are a senior citizen or veteran. Only giving them a 1 because 0 isn't available. We purchased a unit with them because they supposedly respected veterans and provided discounts. It has cost us a whole lot more in repairs than going with a reputable business. We even had one of their employees say the unit they sold us wasn't large enough for our home. The employee said they have had a lot of issues with that particular unit. The heat has never worked, and our AC is out again. We are already $3000+ in repairs. We cannot continue to bleed out money to this company. We have repeatedly asked to speak to the owner In effort to get the business to do the right thing in providing a quality unit that is the right size for our home. The receptionist always tells us that he is out of town, but she will leave him a message. We then received an email stating the owner will sell us another unit and install for $11,000+. That is expensive for a 2150 sq foot home. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Our advice is to stay away from Costa for any service. read more

Used $39.95 coupon for the "system clean and tune up" There was no cleaning and no tune up" Tech was pleasant had no instruments, tools, cleaning supplies. Removed panel inside used phone flashlight and ran finger on wire. Put in a new filter of mine which I do every 2 months myself and write date. He suggested I sign up for "sanitize package for $650." That was it. Called office next day receptionist not helpful. Several " I apologizes" I could not get her to tell me what the "system tune up" was. Bottom line: waste of time ripoff. Just a follow up. Adrian from Costa followed up via phone with me after my cal. He agreed Tech did not do system tune up, clean drain etc. he offered to come himself and do service or reimburse me for "service call". I chose to be reimbursed. read more

Costa saved the holidays! We had a broken pool heater and 4 families coming from Chicago to celebrate Christmas and enjoy the Florida weather in December. It happened to be the owner's (Adrian's) birthday and yet, he took care of removing the old and installing a new pool heater within hours of coming to the house and diagnosing our issue. Adrian and his crew were professional, courteous, clean and incredibly swift with the service. Bottom line - they did what they said they were going to do, and quickly. Questionable competency, horrible receptionist and shady business tactics. We just ended our almost 2-year relationship with these people after repeated issues and concerns with the new unit placed in our home. Recommended from our neighbor we trusted their advice and chalked up the mis-step along the way as just our bad luck. Our second opinion came in today with not favorable marks for the Costa team. Didn't file for permits until repeated attempts from us to find out why. Unit installed in August, permit applied for in December? Response from receptionist was "The city is really backed up right now, it takes at least 6 months for them to come out". Once they did schedule the inspection, someone had to come out from Costa to ensure it would pass inspection!? Really? City confirmed permit wasn't applied for until December?! We have had repeated water issues in the home since the install. They Dropped the until while installing it damaging the shelves in our laundry room. We were promised gift cards and credits for the issues which have never been received. Back side of where the unit was installed should have been enclosed from the Attic. I in fact found the back wall with damaged and cracked drywall which, I had to re-seal myself (knowing we would get the run around from the receptionist). We finally had enough after our ceiling collapsed in our garage this week from a leaking water. New company found today, low on freon, drainage pipe should have been re-routed, unit not sealed properly, unit is bare minimum to pass inspection when we were told we were upgrading to improve efficiencies, thought the ceiling collapse was from the unit freezing up and ice melting for various drainage and efficiency issue noted during the inspection. I called at 4:15pm on Monday 9/14/20 and a woman answered the phone very pleasantly. I explained the situation of my A/C unit not working properly and went into great detail. She said that her husband would come to my home (1st Appointment) on Tuesday 9/15/20 between 8am and 9am. I waited patiently and No tech should up? I called and left a voicemail on the buisness phone at 9:30am. I do understand that with Covd19 issues mat arise. I called and left 2 more messages and still No response? I called a different AC Co. at 12 noon and the CSR scheduled me between 1pm and 3pm and the tech arriver @1:30pm, troubleshoot my issue, gave me an estimate after working on my unit for 1 1/2 hours. He got me up and running for a $79.00 service charge. What baffles Me is with over 4 calls to Costa and no return phone call as a courtesy to let Me know they could not be at my home today. This is bad customer service and I would never call them again or recommend them. The sad part is they actually installed my AC unit in 2016. read more
