Really enjoyed Costa Vida. Too bad there Andre to any in Southern California where I live. When we got there, maybe 20 people were in line ahead of us. Kind of reminded me of the old days for Chipotle. My son had a chicken quesadilla. The tortilla was hand made like our family makes from time to time. The tortilla was loaded with chicken. The chicken was tasty too. My wife had a sweet pork taco. The meat was marinated perfectly and was stuffed. She didn't need the beans and rice, but that was good too. I did a drive thru order, and my kids were in the back - they are little and sometimes little ones can be a wee bit impatient. I asked them to be quiet so that I could order. The girl who was working the drive thru said WHAT?? I said "no worries, I was talking to my kids". I tried to have the slightest banter with her at this point while I looked over the menu. She gave me this CRAPPY attitude, like HURRY UP and order, ok? I wish I would have written down her name from the receipt because if this restaurant is still paying this one a paycheck, she should be sent to the cornfield. So she gets snippy with me, and I pull around to pay for the food, she is giving me even more attitude. I let her know I didn't appreciate her shotty tude. She very hastily shoves the food bag towards me and sarcastically says "have a nice day" with this smug look and rolling her eyes. I take it to my husband who was coaching. He ate it reluctantly (grilled steak burrito) and said it was "just there". Nothing too exciting and grissly meat, but seriously, having this chick working for you is what is ruining your business! This is the worst Costa I have been too. This one is so slow. I have had to wait 30 to 40 minutes before when there was only two cars ahead of me and the place was bot that busy. Every-time my family or husbands family have ordered online the order has been wrong. One time my husband called in an order. The order never even went through and they couldn't find our order. I like Costa better but I think I would rather go to Cafe Rio in Cedar instead. Check your order before you drive off they always forget something. read more

This is like the ultra sugary, no flavor, poorly done version of Chipotle. My wife and I stopped here for dinner while driving home from Montana to Springdale. We both got grilled chicken burritos with the "medium green chile" sauce. The sauce was sweet and had no other flavor. Some of the chicken in my burrito was rare to medium rare. Stopped in here a few weeks ago after my wife was raving about it. I have become a fan of Mexican food since moving to TX a few years back so I had my doubts when I decided to try this burrito place. Costa Vida's setup is similar to many made to order burrito places, you stand in line and read the menu above, then order your food which is made in front of you. I love fresh tortillas and they are made seconds before you order. I'd like to know if they would sell a pack of tortilla rounds, I'd stand in line for them. I had the sweet pulled pork burrito, I was nervous when they poured green sauce over my burrito wondering if it would go with the pork but I am glad to say that it was delicious, one of the best burritos I've ever had! I also like that in their self serve beverage station there is a drink called horchata (sp?). I tried it and was hooked, some kind of rice, Cinnamon milk, I was wondering why I have yet to see this flavor around TX more, I will have to keep my eyes open. They only dings I would give them were I also had the tres leches cake and it was uninspired and not as fresh tasting as the burrito which provided a weird contrast. Also the check out service was unorganized and I had to remind the cashier of a few things, service is an afterthought in 90% of the Utah restaurants I find. Come here if you want frozen lettuce with a side of bad attitude. The service I received here was unacceptable. First of all, I wanted to order nachos but was informed they were out of chips. Disappointing but whatever, I was understanding it was nearing the end of the day. But the guy taking my order literally rolled his eyes at me and was SO rude for no reason. So rude that I actually said something to the manager who only barely looked up at me to give a half hearted apology. So annoying. After waiting in line at the drive through for approximately 10 minutes (after i ordered my food) I was informed that they were out of refried beans. OK no problem replace them with black beans. Another 10 minutes goes buy, then I am informed there out of rice. OK very dissatisfied at this point. They included an extra shrimp taco for the inconvenience. This franchise has gone down hill in years. Food is cold they drive thru. 2 enchilada dinner is literally 1 1/2 enchiladas. They used to give you chips and salsa, not any more. $9 for a tin tray of sweet pork nachos, they barely put one scoop of beans and pork in the tin and if you order a large nacho, you get a mini scoop of guacamole and sour cream. Mediocre does not begin to describe the food. The owner needs to close up shop. He's ruining the reputation of Costa Vida. read more

The young folks working here are super friendly, and the food is decent enough. I had the sweet pork burrito, and it was tasty, if perhaps a bit too sweet, but not over the top. My wife had the tortilla soup and it was quite good. The seating is cafe style and very loud. My only complaint is that the burritos really aren't made to be picked up. Mine was not "smothered" and still it was soggy. But overall, it was a good experience and although I may not go out of my way to eat here again, if I'm in the area, I wouldn't mind stopping in to try something new. read more

We thought this would be a Chipotle or Cafe Rio knock-off, and there are definitely similarities. But Costa Vida includes a number of additions to their line-up: fresh jalapenos, mango salsa, chopped onions, vegetarian black AND pinto beans, and fresh-off-the-grill tortillas. I had the vegetarian salad and my fiance had the bean & cheese burrito. The only reason they got 4 instead of 5 stars was that the music had some strange reverb/delay thing happening, which was really annoying. This was a nice detour from the usual fresh Mexican grill fare, and we will be back...maybe we'll just use the drive-through next time ;) read more

This was bland, boring corporate food. I witnessed a woman cut 2 plastic bags open of heated pork and black beans and dump it in the bins. Fresh? Freshly microwaved. My quesadilla didn't even have onions, salsa, or anything other than cheese and meat. Everything was extra. $8 crappy quesadilla. Then my friend ran out to get some more money to pay and I had paid $5 my friend asked the cashier what else was needed to be paid and she told her $2.27 when it only should've been a dollar and twenty-seven cents!
