Rose in customer care/ customer service is so helpful and a pleasure dealing with you don't find people like her in big box stores.

I went to the tire center today, proceeded to get ignored by the manager for 20 minutes and when I asked why the guy that just walked in was being served before me without even an acknowledgement that I was in the room, I got a snooty, 'well he has an appointment at noon.' I guess it's my fault for expecting someone in customer service to notice a customer. Won't be buying my tires here, ever. read more

I LOVE COSTCOS! xD Cosctos is the place to go if you want to buy a lot and save mega bucks. This has truly become a favorite of mine. I used to go to the Willowbrook location but it's kind of fallen off, plus it's a bit dirty to me, I was sooo pissed last time I went there bc as I was walking towards the fresh strawberry section one of the workers driving one of those forklifts straight up nicked the side and knocked them all down! (ahhhh) and to make matters worst I was in there for about 45 minutes, NO ONE BOTHERED TO CLEAN IT UP (smh) However, the one on route 3 is much much better, customer service is good, it's always clean and they got the cheap gas. As far as Price Range I put (3) $ up there just because you will be buying in bulk so yeah in a way its pricey but in the long run its not. Because being that your buying in bulk, you're getting A LOT of stuff that normally if you bought the same amount in a regular super market would pay waaaay much more. (hope that made sense lol) Overall the Rt3 Costco is the spot, I love it and recommend you check it out, especially if you have a biiiig family and a small budget. read more

i got tires here and they did a great job. if you need new tires you can save a lot. i recommend this Costco store, as I love Costco products and service. They always look out for the costumer. read more

Went to the liquor store on the premises and asked where the Kirkland wines are? We don't have them, we're not really a Costco liquor store, you have to go to Wayne. Certainly not what I was expecting. --- Later learned that any firm can only own two liquor stores in NJ and that is why Clifton does not have a Costco liquor store. More lousy NJ liquor laws, like the one limiting liquor store wine tastings to four wines. There is no limit in NY and their grand tastings are the biggest sale days of the year. Parking/traffic still a disaster. read more

Too crowded for me. There's no room to move, inside or outside. I would not even order anything online and have it shipped to this location (if that's an option -- I'm not sure) because I'd have to drive in to pick it up. But that's just me. I rank this Costco a 2/5 in comparison to other Costco locations in North NJ. Although this location has gas, I prefer to visit others unless my tank is empty. Honestly, the savings in gas is hardly worth the long lines and staff at the pumps. They don't work very efficiently nor value your time. The customer service inside the warehouse is also sub par in comparison to others. There is one gentleman specifically who seems a little too comfortable in his position, and didn't make near enough effort to providing an acceptable solution to my problem when I visited him. If you can, go to the Hackensack location, or even Union before this one. That's my 2 cents read more

I want to start by saying that I love, love, LOVE Costco, so I will compare this location with the various other locations I have frequented in other parts of the world. As with all Costco's, if you come here over the weekend, the lines can be horrendous. The trick is to come during non-peak hours - when they open, regular work hours, early evening when people are too tired from work to even think of Costco...you get it. If you come during these magical times, there are practically no lines and you can accomplish all your Costco-related errands - finding parking, buying a few grocery staples, picking up a pizza, and pumping gas - and be in and out of there all within an hour and get back to work/picking up the kids/etc. This location can be particularly frustrating because parking in the lot immediately next to the entrance can be hard to find during peak times. But keep in mind, there is ALWAYS parking in the further lot (the one containing Costco's gas station). It's an additional 3 minute walk for me so it really doesn't matter. The gas lines are a bit longer here than I am accustomed to, but apparently it is law in New Jersey that you cannot pump your own gas...so there's the bottleneck. The food at the food court is at the same quality as other locations but the seating is slightly more limited than those with outdoor seating and more difficult to navigate as people like to block the seats with their carts. As for everything else - selection, ambiance, product placement - it follows the same format as Costcos all over the world as far as I've seen so it is very easy to navigate. read more

While I love Costco and what it has to offer, the employees at this location were not as wonderful as those at competitor stores like SAMs club or BJs. I have been going to Costco for quite some time now and was using my mothers card. All of a sudden, I was told they can't let me purchase anything because I am not the card holder. Up to this point, it had never been an issue, and all of a sudden the manager is walking around with my credit card and mother's membership card telling me it can't happen. I tried to compromise and say that I now am aware for future purposes, but to let it go this time. I also made it clear that the employees in the past have not once said a thing to me about this, which is not at all my fault. Speaking to others around, it turns out I am not alone in having a negative experience at this location. Like others, turning to the nearby SAMs club location will be the way to go. I rather take my business and membership elsewhere due to the bad customer than to get my own membership at Costco. read more

We just moved from CT to NJ. This Costco is closer to us than others. We found that their employees (in general) are not happy, angry, mad and rude. We pushed our cart shopping and an employee wanted to come through from behind, without asking he pushed his way through our cart and looked angry. We were also hardly in his way, just that we were close to the door he wanted to go with his merchandise cart. If he asked, we would give him more space. Another day of shopping, there's a station giving out samples of potato chips. Normally, we don't sample as we tried to avoid processed food. Anyhow, I picked up one little container of samples and then picked up the second one for my husband. She looked mad and grab the second one. Shen then through that one in garbage. What?!!??! I was in a good mood that day so I just took it as an anomaly and ignorant, but feel that I should call a manager to complain. So I called and asked to talk to manager of Clifton Costco. She responded the lady doesn't work for Costco. She works for the company she gave out samples. I had to say that she is in Costco no matter who she worked, she should also adhere to what Costco represent. She's damaging Costco image. In this Costco, the employees who checked receipts at exits are the worse. They are really angry and assume you are a thief. Their attitude and how they treated us are just very bad. It was easy to decide to signed up with BJ's wholesale and never had to go back to this Costco. read more
