I have had nothing but the BEST service at this Optical Department in Corona. Everyone that has helped me has been so sweet, kind, thoughtful, and have gone the extra mile to make my family and me happy. One particular person that stands out is Judy. I brought in two pairs of glasses that needed an adjustment on the frame since I accidentally sat on them. Judy spent the extra needed time to get them both to fit perfectly on me. I tried to take them to the Eastvale location prior, and the person there was very short with me and said she couldn't fix them because they were too far gone. San Marcos Location: Called to ask it they can replace lenses in existing frames; they said they have to see them. Went in and was ignored by the clerk until she called out the ticket # I was holding ( no one else in line). She snipped "we can't work on those, they're too old". Asked what was too old and she said they hinges were too "bendy" and the sides showed signs of wear. "Besides, we don't work on anything over two years old". If that is true they should say that on the phone; anyway these were probably worn fewer than two years as they were lost for an extended period of time. Thought Costco would have higher standards; maybe this is just sublet out to some optometrist who hires trash for clerks. read more

This place was kind of amazing. My wife got two pairs of glasses - one for screen reading and sunglasses. I got high qukity reading glasses. Dr Lee was warm and professional. Listened and informed. The staff helping us choose frames and order then we're kind and knowledgeable. And we received texts when the glasses were ready. 3 pairs of prescription glasses for less than $300 and served by really nice ppl. read more

So weird to see negative reviews for a place I have been to more than once and never had a bad experience. I call ahead and make an appointment. I have been here both with insurance and without. Their prices are so good here the price difference was not really a huge difference (but maybe I got more free options with insurance? I do not remember) However, this last visit I did not have vision insurance. I only get the test for glasses, it costs more if you want contacts- I also paid a little more for a picture of the back of my eyes that would also tell you/them if you had excessive high blood pressure and since I had not seen a doctor in over a year and that was a concern. Anyway, they were cool enough to email me the picture, so souvenir lol On the glasses part. With Covid things are different but I appreciate the extra care and steps they are taking both to be open and to protect all of us. Too many people are thinking this who pandemic is fake and let me tell you- lucky you don't know anyone that has died from it yet! or you haven't suffered. Yeah, I got stories! Anyway- The two people that helped me in this store with glasses were great! Very patient and helpful. Explained all my options and there are a lot. I feel like I got a great pair of glasses for about $300 (I usually pick cheapest frames I can anyway) While this time I opted for bifocals and they are giving me issue, at least I now have two pairs- One that I think is an interesting look on me and I always get comments on the frames and one that I can see clearer out of but cannot wear for too long as I tend to get headaches. I do not blame them. Everything takes time to adjust. I think if you have a problem with the glasses you should bring it up when you pick them up? But they have even tightened my old glasses for me just for asking and I appreciate this place a lot. read more

I went there with my prescription to purchase glasses. I appreciate that many of the "extras" for my glasses are included. I was tired of getting nickeled and dime'd for anti scratch, antiglare, etc. The woman who helped me was friendly, helpful, courteous, and answered all of my questions. They do have a number system, so don't forget to take a number. They are very busy, so you'll need some patience. I was surprised by the individuals who thought they could just walk up and demand that they "just wanted to pick up their items" ah...take a number.‍ Because glasses can be pricey, this is a great place for your money!! read more

Do not waste your money here. Go to Target way better options and services. They were awesome with my daughter and her. My other daughter went to America's Best and got a better deal. I'm writing this after coming from Dr. Yazdan at the Costco in Temecula. My family used to go to Dr. Wexler but she can be rude. During my last visit with her she gave me my exam and just stopped at a number even though I still had trouble reading the chart. I tried them for a week and still had trouble reading. (I'm nearsighted) I returned and Dr.Lee gave me a different set to try, which were worse. The whole time she acted like I was conning them out of another set of contacts! I returned again and Dr. Lee suggested I use reading glasses along with my contacts. I ended up going with the first prescription (the lesser of evils) and she was really rude the whole time. Make the drive out to Temecula! Dr. Yazdan is amazing and super helpful :) read more

I had an eye exam yesterday & before I even sat down in the exam chair I told her that I was severely hearing impaired and to please speak up so I could hear her. Unfortunately, she continued to speak at a low tone during the entire exam, I even said to her a few times that I can't hear a word you are saying. I just hope that my eye prescription is accurate because there was a major disconnect between the two of us. She is rude, never smiled and made me feel like I was an imposition to her because she was asked to speak up. You should think twice before scheduling an appt. with this doctor. read more

The receptionist is a bit brash, but I didn't have a problem setting up an appointment. They're a busy practice so I had to wait two weeks for an appointment. I'm taking off a star because they apparently take walk-ins. I showed up at 3:00 and had to wait for this ridiculous woman with her two glasses-wearing kids to try and weasel her way in. The receptionist suggested she make an appointment and come back, but she wasn't too assertive and let the lady be "squeezed in" after myself and another person who were waiting for appointments. Once you check in, you have to step outside and fill out the paperwork. The eye exam includes your eye health and a glasses prescription for $49. For $25, you can add an eye dilation. You can add corneal photos for $10. There's no sales pitch. You just check off what you want to do on the intake form. When it's your turn, they do the usual diagnostics - shoot air in your eyes, etc. Then you're sent to the actual doctor. The doctor was so nice and friendly! I opted for the dilation and I looked at glasses while we waited for the drops to kick in. Like I said, they fit two people in between so my eyes were fully dilated, but I still had to wait 10 minutes for their exams to be over. Overall, it's a great place to go for an eye exam. Just PLEASE book an appointment. Don't be a douche and try to squeeze in and make everyone else wait for you. They sell glasses there, but the prices weren't that cheap. However, they do offer free, self-serve glasses cleaning solution that you can use. read more

This is a completely new staff here and it is great. Dr. Lee is extremely thorough and attentive. I received contact lens example and prescriptions several times and won't go anywhere else. This is a tremendous value in the Inland Empire and is highly recommended. read more

I saw all the horrible reviews on yelp and was a little worried that i would run into the receptionist all the reviews were talking about. But I had to get it done fast. But, come to find out she is no longer working there! The staff that worked with me was really nice. Dr Lee was very nice and helped me get checked and dilated really fast. The Corona Costco Optometry office is very welcoming...beginning with the pleasant receptionist to the knowledgeable optometrist. I love the new optometrist, Dr. Lee. She is nice, friendly, honest, efficient, and knows her stuff. I had an appointment, was seen on time, and Dr. Lee gave me a prescription for reading glasses. Dr. Lee told me that I can use the drug store reading glasses if I do not want to get prescription glasses. I really appreciated her honesty, in not try to push me into buying prescription eye glasses. I would highly recommend Dr. Lee to anyone looking for a super optometrist. read more

Optometrist was Emily Wenzler-Chapman. 1 star and 2 thumps down. My wife went in for contacts RX. Was given sample to try. A little after a month later, after trying out the initial pair, my wife returned to say try out pair was not comfortable. She asked if she can try another pair. The receptionist told us there would be a $35 charge for re-examination after we paid more than $75 for initial exam. read more

I came for my first contact exam after wearing glasses for as long as I can remember. From the beginning, I had a great experience here. They were able to schedule an appointment for me according to the time I needed (I work 8-5 M-F) and they called to remind me which was super helpful. I came in really excited to get going and the front office girls greeted me with smile and kind jokes. Then when I met the doctor, I felt even more at ease. Dr. Lee is extremely sweet, gentle and intelligent. She's a sweetheart & very patient. The girls in the front also have that wonderful quality of patience. I was very difficult to test at the puff machine, I'm not sure what it's called but I hate it. The girl helping me had to do it 5 times and wasn't the least bit frustrated. She then helped me to get used to putting my contacts in. After she walked me through the whole process and stressed all the safety precautions I would need, she answered my millions of questions thoroughly. They then set a Saturday appointment to which I missed and yet I had no problem rescheduling. I'm waiting now to see the doctor for my follow up exam and I'm very happy I came here. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD. Office manger, Jonae, or however you spell it, not even courteous enough to spell it for me, is "giving me a refund because I'm not nice to her." First appt with one doctor, made a second appt through her, got a different dr, then a call saying the different doctor doesn't like fixing other doctors' mistakes *+(should have been a clue), so changed my appt. Came in on the changed appt day, this "Woman (and there is definitely a different name I'd like to insert here)" tells me I'[m there on the wrong day, so come back tomorrow. Told her my appt was changed, she tells me, yes, she knows, she's the one who changed it. Rude Rude Rude!!! So I tell her it's a long drive to make right after having had surgery, she doesn't care, tough, booked, come back tomorrow. So I come back the next day, see a totally different doctor, with a very nice receptionist, but the doctor only checked the glasses to the prescription, not to my eyes. Still seeing double, can't focus on a street sign unless I'm no more than two car-lengths away. So I called back today, to make another appt, to have the Dr, check my eyes to the prescription. Lucky me, get the ($J#( Jonae, who says to me, "If you'll be nicer to me. It's a very busy office, and I don't need everybody to be yelling at me." Really, three surgeries in five weeks, three trips to get glasses because your office can't do it right the first time, and you're telling me everybody's yelling at you? Maybe because you're so incredibly rude and insensitive to customers. No wonder the reviews on here say stay far far away - this doctor must be desperate if a witch for an office manager is the best she could do. This "office manager" really needs to learn some people skills, I advise anyone thinking of coming here, if Jonae's working, run as fast as you can in the opposite direction, she could probably eat your kids for dinner, she's so inhuman. read more

This has go to be the worst place for scheduling an appointment. I have tried to call over a dozen times on 2 separate days at varying times and not once did anyone answer. I know the number is right because i received a business card from the lady running the frame section and she insisted i called to set up an exam. Before even trying to call i opted to see if i could just schedule an exam since i was already there. I walked up to the glass door for the office and i couldn't get it open. I saw who appeared to be the receptionist behind the desk but she was just staring down the whole time i was trying to get in. I tried waving, got nothin. Tried knocking, and still nothing! She is either def or just that unhappy with helping people. If you are busy just signal so and i will wait. If you are on lunch, put a sign up.. Its that simple! I love Costco but they desperately need a new receptionist in this department who can actually acknowledge their customers who are trying to spend hard earned money. This place will not stand behind their prescriptions. They gave me the wrong prescription for my glasses. That was over 2 months ago. Been trying to schedule an appointment for a re-check but they keep canceling at the last minute. I work for a living. I don't have time for this run around. I may be demanding a full refund. I paid $114 dollars for a contact/glasses prescription and can't even use the glasses part as it's incorrect. This place will take your money and not stand behind their services. Two days before my appointment they called and canceled. it would have been okay if they set up another appointment in a reasonable time, however when i called back they wanted me to wait another 2 weeks. I stopped in at the vision center at Costco Corona today, no appointment, and was pleasantly surprised. They were able to get me in for a complete eye exam, with a wait time of only 15 minutes. The ladies out front were very helpful, taking care of insurance questions and a partial screening. Within 10 minutes I was in to see the Doctor who was professional and courteous. I left a short time later with a prescription for both contacts and new eye glasses. I would recommend this office to anyone! read more
