As someone with ADHD, it is so, so, helpful to have reminders from the pharmacy. I imagine that these reminders are also helpful to those who may be suffering from dementia, or just those who are busy/forgetful in general. All in all, a great walgreens and a great pharmacy!

They were sold out on some of the more seasonal items such as caramels. So I decided to go with a small pack (3 pieces) of Almond Roca and a KitKat Duos strawberry and dark chocolate bar. When the cashier rang the items up, the Almond Roca came in at $0.74, it had been a while since I got this quantity of the product packaged this way for that price. The parking lot was moderately easy to maneuver in and the store front was easy to spot. Workers in the store were friendly, even greeting customers as we entered the store. The checkout line was easy to find and payment straightforward. I liked/appreciated the welcome sign inside the front door with the name of the shopping center the store was located in.

Usually if the medication is out here then it is out everywhere, and he's checked stock at multiple locations a number of times now. They said I should call around to different pharmacies because the medication was not common. I spent around 2 hours calling 9 pharmacies, both regular and compounding. Most didn't know what it was, didn't have it and couldn't order it for me. One told me what I was asking was impossible. Another told me I needed to call the veterinarian and ask them to prescribe something else (which I did but was told there was no substitute). Finally I called Kirkland Compounding Pharmacy and Natalie was the first pharmacist who knew the medication without me having to spell it and said, "I can help you with that." When she heard the dosage, she immediately asked how big my dog was, and then recommended splitting the dosage between 2 capsules because one large capsule would create a choking hazard for a dog his size. She also had a lot of knowledge in general about the medication and its availability. I emailed her a photo of the prescription and she called me back shortly to finalize what I needed. She even stayed after hours to fill my order because she knew the medication was important for my dog's health and wanted me to have it first thing in the morning. I've used other compounding pharmacies in the past who were all fine, but without a doubt I will now go to Kirkland Compounding Pharmacy first. Natalie is so knowledgeable and caring!

Okay, I've given this pharmacy more than enough patience and grace to get it together. Mostly for 2…read morereasons: 1) Sam. For a long time, it seemed he was the only employee serving customers, so I never dealt with anyone but him. He's SO kind and helpful. It doesn't seem like he's around as much lately, though. 2) There was a brief period when we had a flawless system, where I would call to manually request refills of the meds that needed manual refill requests, and then they would all be ready for pickup when I was home for my one day off before hitting the road again, or else I would send a family member to pick them up for me. It was perfect. But about a year and a half ago (!!!), their phone line *seemed* to stop working. It just rings and rings, and then eventually lets you into the back end system to enter your code. No way to leave a message or request a refill. The first time this happened, I called the store's main line and had them run a message back to the pharmacy. This did no good at all. No one called me back, and my refill request was not fulfilled. So I could no longer request refills from the road, and would have to have a family member go in person and wait in line to manually do it, and then either wait around for it to be ready, or come back for it another day. That is a lot to ask of someone else to do for you on a regular basis. When I next came in, I mentioned the phone lines, and was told they had heard that there was an issue, but they didn't know what it was. That conversation was more than a year ago. I am now home full time, but due to a mobility disability that makes it really difficult and painful to walk into the store just to request a refill. I still try to call, but have only reached a live person like 4 times since this phone issue started a year and a half ago. More than 2 weeks ago, I had been calling on and off all day without anyone answering. Finally, in the last few minutes before they closed, I called 3 times in a row. With one minute to spare, on the third try, someone answered the phone. He did not identify himself, and he was SO rude. But he took my refill request. Since the medication has a nationwide shortage, he put me on hold to see if they had it, then returned and told me he could and would fill it. He did not. And since then, they still have not filled it. I call on and off every day, and no one ever answers. So I crawled down here today. There is a line that I knew I physically could not have handled standing in. Since I only have a question, I have already stood in line multiple times just to ask this simple question they could answer for me on the phone, and because I'm freaking disabled, I approached the disabled window. The guy working today (I don't know/recognize him. He's not Sam or TJ. It is Sunday, if that helps) is very rude, and is blatantly ignoring me. He had come over to the window next to mine twice to help others who approached, but then would just look pointedly at me and walk away. Because of severe pain, I finally sat in the chair provided at the handicap window, and I wrote this review. So the time it took me to chicken peck this whole thing out on my phone is how long I have been ignored at the handicap window, and that is after I sat down after several minutes of standing and being intentionally disregarded. How is any of this acceptable?! It just isn't. I'm pretty sure accessibility is a legal issue, and they are not accessible.

Always top quality service. I've been a customer of this location and other Rite Aid stores since…read morethey acquired Pay-N-Save via the acquisition of Thrifty Payless in the 90s. Rite Aid has never made an error with my prescriptions, never overcharged me, or flogged me off. It's heartbreaking to see so many jobs lost and the glut of vacant stores. All due as a result of corporate failures. I was shocked when Rite Aid moved to acquire Bartells. They were in no position to burden themselves with more debt and responsibilities. Rite Aid acquired Thrifty Payless after Thrifty tried to borrow their way out of trouble. Rite Aid knew better than to repeat that mistake. They literally witnessed and took advantage of Thrifty foolishly burdening the struggling company with more debt buying out virtually bankrupt Thrifty Payless/Pay-N-Save. It is impossible to borrow you way out of debt without a viable plan. Expanding the footprint of struggle stores only results in rapid collapse. I don't know how the acquisition of Bartells went through. Two struggling pharmacy chains - drowing in debt, with suppliers cutting them off, are supposed to magically merge into a debt free company? Nope. A 10 yo peeking at their books would have said this is insanity. Especially given the state and demands of their aging stores and seriously burdensome payroll demands exacerbated by pandemic induced record inflation. Add to this consumers shifting to free delivery of copay free meds via insurance company subsidiary pharmacies, cheaper meds with free delivery via Walmart, Amazon, and others, and the general shift away from brick and mortar. Without significant investment in home delivery, Rite Aid could never climb out of their debt hole. The financials and operations at CVS are unknown to me. What I do know is, If they do not have the infrastructure to provide free home delivery at competitive prices, I do not see their standalone drugs store surviving. Consumer loyalty has given way to convenient and cheapest. Which to most under 40 is Amazon, and to a lesser degree Walmart. Tragically, Amazon can afford to undercut everyone. Regulators need to break Amazon up. They're destroying local economies. I'll save that for later.. afterall this is a review of now defunct Rite Aid. Haha

I do not recommend this location. The customer service is very poor. The front end cashiers do not speak or engage with you. The pharmacy team is a little better - they speak, greet and thank. They did have cool displays today I'll share because I had not seen them anywhere. Yeah a positive! Lol
