I've heard people say that the Redmond Costco is the "Nordstrom of Costco's" and I must say I agree. Customer service is A+++

As much as I love the Costco store, their customer service is pitiful and my latest experience with them was a disaster. If you question my evaluation of their customer service just try to contact them online. They have NO email contact, they have no address to even write snail mail to, they offer nothing but a phone number to a BOT or a search field to find your own answers or a chat line to a another BOT if you can get thru at all. Pitiful! Why these corporations don't want to communicate with their customers is beyond me but since the almighty dollar drives everything and affects their bottom-line profit I'm guessing that they feel their customers are really not worth the effort of efficient customer service. Now my latest experience. Here is a transcript of my notes in regards to a $3000 appliance package which I recently purchased from Costco under the guise that they would DELIVER and INSTALL. Delivery was a nightmare and installation was NON-EXISTENT!! Two of the four items (Fridge and Microwave) arrived damaged and nobody would install anything. Transcript: (read from bottom up) 8/8/2018 - called at 5:45 because no one has called and no delivery has been made. I've been waiting around for FOUR hours. - XPO said they would call shipper (SmallsElite out of Denver) and have them call us directly. - R the driver called at 5:55 to say they would be 45 minutes and said they would set up. - they arrived. Fridge was so damaged I declined delivery. Microwave had damage but I can live with it. R and S (drivers) said they cannot install gas or water appliances nor hang anything on a wall. WHAT! So installation is out, what a bunch of BS by Costco. - Stove is 110, not 220 so now I have to get an electrician in. I will install all items myself. 8/7/2018 - called XPO to coordinate delivery and BOT (no humans must work here) said delivery is scheduled for Wed. 8/8 between 2:00 and 6:00. No one has called me from XPO at all. 7/23/2018 - Tracey called me at 1:00, providing me with shipping #8690-9767 and XPO (shipper) phone number 1-866-373-4244 for me to coordinate delivery with them. 844-742-5976 expedite@xpo.com or lastmile@xpo.com 866-373-7874 https://www.xpo.com/contact-us 7/23/2018 - call to confirm reception of email - re-sent email to include homedelivery@innovelsolutions.com - on hold ... damn, cut off ... line just went dead - on hold ... finally got thru and girl said Tracey was on another line and that she would call me (9:30) - 10:53 Tracey finally called back, said she wrote all the notes and agreed with me that somebody isn't reading. She will contact them, square things away and call me back when she knows something. 7/21/2018 - got phone message saying appliances would be delivered Fri. the 27th between 2:00 and 6:00, EXACTLY WHEN I TOLD THEM NOT TO DELIVER! OMG!! - sent Tracy email: Dear Tracy, As per my contact notes below, and in particular (in red) the phone conversation with you on the 12th of July below when I made if very clear when we would be available for delivery. I received a phone message yesterday in DIRECT CONFLICT with that communication. Please rectify this situation and call me in this regard. 7/12/2018 re: appliance delivery - 888-803-3459 -2 Tracy: innoveltracey3@gmail.com homedelivery@innovelsolutions.com Kayla at Romeoville office at Innovel Solutions in Chicago called to say delivery was still 2 weeks out. - call her with questions or concerns. - 10:45 called this office back to tell her about her dates. Ended up getting some other city. They said they have 4 offices at 4 different locations that all have the same # and that in order to get the Romeoville office you just have to keep dialing. Finally got thru to a Tracey but not Kayla. - XPO order (out of network) XPO is name of out of network carrier but still part of Innovel - Tracey noted our vacation dates on the order. 27th-6 not available read more

This costco is busier than the one in shoreline. I think it is because it is a bit smaller. There is plenty of parking. I don't like that the food court is outside rather than inside. If you come during a week day, you won't encounter the hoards of people. If you come on a weekend, good luck trying to maneuver your shopping cart around. People will cut you off. lol. You definitely will have a hard time getting some samples. read more

This is a comment for all Costco appliances, not this particular store. Do NOT order large appliances from Costco, even if you think you'll get a good deal. They use a delivery company called JBC (based in Portland, OR) that is horrible. Check out their 1 star rating on Yelp and their F rating on the Better Business Bureau (BBB). When I had a large appliance delivered, they refused to pick up my old appliance (same size) because they said there wasn't room in their truck. (Old appliance pick up was part of what I paid for). They had just unloaded my new appliance from their truck, and I have photographic evidence of room on their truck! (Funny how that works, you unload something and then there is room for something else to fit it). They also took a big chunk of my door frame out while installing. And yet after reading all the other horrible JBC reviews on Yelp, I almost feel lucky that I've just been left with a gigantic, unusable appliance and home repair work totally less than $100. Sad indeed. Shame on Costco for continuing to use this irresponsible and terrible company. read more

What's up with this Costco? They don't seem to have a lot of stuff that other Costco stores in the area have. This is my nearest Costco but they seem to have the poorest selection of products so I need to go to other further away stores to get what I want. The best Costco in the area is Issaquah. First of all, happy to have a Costco within a mile of my house. It's newly opened and vast. I think it's as big as the Kirkland store. They have most items in the store itself, and for items not available in store, the staff helpfully recommends ordering online. The staff also informs us about any offers they have currently, mostly during checkout. Ample parking available. The gas station is always busy, but it's never been too long a wait. read more

How can you not love Costco? Okay, you're basically on your own once you get inside. There are occasionally people to help in the clothing section, and by "help" I mean give you crap for not folding something you just tried on. Not entirely unjustifiable, but not entirely helpful, either. Otherwise, if you see someone walking around, they tend to be in a hurry and will most certainly ignore you. The nicest people working there are usually those cleaning up or serving samples. Customer service aside, the prices cannot be beat for the quality of items they sell. I also like that this location is a lot larger than the one in Kirkland, which helps because apparently everyone in this area has a membership. Don't bother going on the weekend, it's best to go between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on a weekday. Oops, maybe I shouldn't have said that. As far as the food court goes, even though it's cheap, I am not a fan. The pizza is greasy, and the hot dogs, while tasty initially, tend to leave a lasting (garlic) impression that I'd rather skip. read more

Do not use the Costco check printing servcie! Your info on the check is so small it's almost unreadable. It about 60% of the size or my prior checks from another service. I can't believe Costco uses Harland Clarke at all. NOT up to their usual standard of Quality. read more

Had to pick up a couple of pizza's for a work meeting and they were prompt - I'm not the most savy on a POS system for pickup but the pies were hot and I was in and out. 1 less star because parking was awful and its consistently packed! read more

Costco is one of the most convenient grocery stores to go to! I like that all of the staff wear masks, social distance with their customers, and require everybody to wear a mask inside the store. The staff are always really friendly and helpful, and this Costco is usually pretty organized/clean. Would recommend. read more

Nice, clean, and awesome parking lot! It has 3 diferente entrances and exits that should make traffic flow much better. They also seem to have other stuff the Kirkland Costco does not have like cranberry ginger ale. Out of the 3 Eastside Costco locations I regularly go to (Kirkland, Redmond, and Issaquah), this location feels slightly less crowded. On the other hand, it doesn't feel as large as the Issaquah location, and I've noticed a few items here and there that Issaquah/Kirkland had that Redmond did not. I've never had an issue with parking. Driving here is a little easier because outside of rush hour, the roads here have less traffic than Kirkland/Issaquah. The new self-serve kiosks at the food court are great, and they accept contact-less credit cards/Apple Pay. They definitely make grabbing food at the food court much more efficient. read more

A visit to Costco isn't a official visit without a $1.50 plus sales tax regular hot dog or polish with sauerkraut and drink of your choice eaten while waiting in the gas line. They have long hoses which means you can park on either side. You can also go in the late afternoon and graze on the food samples, a good way to see what is new. read more

Costco is great now that they have some organic choices. I love that they have some comfortable clothes options, cute clothes for kids, and many things we use regularly that we can get for a good price. I tend to go in with a small list and I leave with many things in the cart that were not on my list! I wish it was easier to find a staff member when I have a question. I went shopping at Redmond Costco last night. Found that like products were in different aisles, i.e., all vitamins except calcium were grouped in one area. Took 15 minutes for a staff to help me find he calcium in another aisle. Confusing! Also why is cottage cheese separate from yogurt? Not consistent product display compared to HQ. store. Worst experience was, what's up with food court pizza? Crust was hard, 1/4 thickness like thin crust. Are you using cheaper flour to keep stable selling price? It was hard and thought I'd never experience this at a Costco, but it tasted like CARDBOARD! I should've asked for a refund, but with only 2 staff working, line was too long! Update: After the initial horrors of the Costco grand opening, I've really enjoyed shopping there. Not only is the store less crowded than Issaquah, the employees are really, really helpful. I even had one guy assisting me with loading groceries into my car so he could take my cart, which is something I've never experienced at Costco. I'll leave my initial review in place because I really believe that Costco is not growing it's stores nearly as fast as it's growing its paid membership. Maybe I can make a difference. I've been a Costco member for about 29 years, but I think it may be time for a break from it. As they grow, the crowding in stores has made them increasingly unbearable. They are not expanding fast enough to meet customer demand and their stores are actually getting hazardous. I am about done. The biggest problem for me is the parking. Whoever designs their lots is incompetent. The lots are unsafe. I had high hopes for the new Redmond store, but the parking there is just as bad as anywhere. It's terrible, dangerous, so poorly designed to be laughable. I especially recommend that you don't park in the Southeast corner of the lot, where your car can get boxed in to the narrow aisles and where the exit is via an undirected 4-way stop. In addition, unlike Issaquah, where you can park across the street near Office Depot if the parking is too crazy, there is no nearby alternate parking, so you have no choice but to get trapped in the awful lot or leave. Thus it's better not to go into the lot in the first place. Beyond that, the access roads to get to Costco are single lane, no stop lights. The traffic management just wasn't done before the store was built. I can see a complete mess at Christmas. And if the parking lot is busy and the employee parking signs are up at the FedEx parking a couple blocks away, then you can be certain the crowds inside the store probably violate fire codes. It's not a safe place for anyone. Just don't go there. Don't. I won't be back to that store. read more

As a mother of 6 I bet I have been to this new Redmond Costco more than anyone. It's been a huge time saver. No more commuting to Kirkland and wasting time in traffic. I got new tires on my car here the second day they were open. Quick, friendly efficient. read more

If you want to buy household goods in bulk at reasonable prices, then this is the place. Some of the things that we regularly get from Costco are Regal tickets, organic milk, chicken & eggs. Some of the household cleaning items like dishwashing and Tide pods are also great to get and last us a long time! read more

We needed new tires on our truck. We had a problem with our truck and had to have a major repair. The repair place said that if we got a price quote from Costco, they would match that price. We asked a guy at Costco for a written quote on tires and he said "Let me get this right, you want me to give you a quote so you could buy tires somewhere else." The review is for their photo center only. I came in today have my Chinese passport photo taken. They absolutely know the size well and print them out with cutting lines. They don't cut; you have to cut yourself. Only $10 for 4 photos plus digital copy, one third of what professionals will charge. The photo looks great, but I did come in with makeup, which helped. I love Costco.. It's one of my favorite stores to save money.. It's not a Clothing department store but you sure get a lot for your money.. Any one who shops at Costco knows that it is a warehouse and what you see is what you get.. the clothing tables are maintained through out the day by Costco employees and sometimes they will get messy when there is a frenzy over the dropping prices.. and if your lucky, you may find your size on the bargain tables.. All the newer items in clothing are on the front tables as you are walking into the store.. those tables have all the sizes you need. However, when there is an item on coupon, sizes go quickly and if you are not shopping frequently, you will miss your size. This happens at every store nation and world wide.. The good thing is that there is always another Costco close by to find the item you missed or shop online.. Costco is constantly doing specials online before they even get to the store and a lot of times you can take advantage of the free shipping.. Technology can be a great thing.. all in all.. What do we love? Costco! What do we love more than Costco? A shiny new Costco with lots of parking and wide aisles, that's what. I live just a couple of minutes from the Kirkland Costco, and honestly, I find myself more and more often planning my Costco trips when I happen to be in the area of the Redmond store. Maybe I've been lucky with the times I've gone, but it's so easy to just pull in and park, and often, not very far from the entrance. Likewise, checking out is a breeze - I've not had to wait behind more than one or two people at the checkout line, ever. Even if I've just been fortunate in the nights I've gone, there's no question that the aisles are bigger and easier to navigate, and the whole store is just brand spanking new and clean. Everything else is what you've come to expect from Costco: Good prices and good quality. It's got all the extras, including gas (also easy to get in an out of, no wait), a pharmacy, an optical department, and so on. read more

Rows and rows of cheap stuff that you probably don't actually need, combined with a gallon of sugar water and a hotdog that tastes like raw sewage; endless opportunities to explore and to play hide and seek, followed by a game of tag football in the parking lot. Yesterday, February 28th, I had possibly the worst experience in all my years of shopping at any Costco. We've been shopping at the Redmond warehouse since its opening, and the quality of service has been slipping each and every time we go there. Yes, it was busy, but the individual service was sorely lacking. It seemed to me, that every cashier just did not care. Being careful is one thing, but just plain slow, bordering on indifferent is another. When I mentioned this fact to a red vest (supervisor) he just shrugged it off with another comment that said to me, I didn't count. After all, I am a retiree, and DO NOT work at Microsoft. read more

To buy Asian groceries like spices, lentils, rice, vegetarian snakes I simply choose to travel to Costco Redmond ! On being a member they even gave us free coupons to buy a full size pizza which was good to eat there itself. Even you can buy cheap eyewear here and get the checkup done too. Overall disappointed with buying a laptop at Costco. I was supposed to be covered for 4 years with a warranty on a $1700 laptop purchase. It broke within a year, and after running me around for a year of it being broken, today they offered me $600 for it. Pathetic. Pharmacy is chronically unprepared and understaffed. Expect a 20 min line, a 30 min wait while they try and fix your order, another 20 min line, and then they still aren't done filling your order that had been placed at least 4 hours before. read more
