Service and care were amazing! Couldn't beat the prices either. A little of a wait time but well worth it!

The optometry center over on Coleman fuckin sucks. If you see the guy who's got tattoos up his forearms and wears a mask all the time, either ask for someone else or just go somewhere else. I have never seen someone handle glasses so carelessly like this asshole. Adjustments are the most basic but one of the most important services than an optician should be able to provide. Ask for one from him and instead of first examining how they fit on your ears to evaluate how he should approach the adjustment, he'll just grab your glasses and make you stand there awkwardly listening to his side conversations while your glasses sit too long in the heat machine. Assuming the plastic survives and makes it out of there without one of their fingerprints melted into it (happened to me in 2022 at this location), and they don't cause crazing in one of your lenses, he will proceed with suddenly and completely bending them back to straight as if starting from zero, then immediately forcing them back down to a typical angle. Don't know why the hell he felt like this was necessary or appropriate. He didn't even pay attention to how they sat on my ears in the place, which should be the starting point, then proceed to make slight adjustments incrementally. Everyone knows the more you manipulate and stress frames, especially acetate/plastic ones, the quicker they'll degrade. But he's over here bending them violently back and forth as if he's trying to break them on purpose. After all that abuse that first round, they ended up even more loose. I was totally astonished. When he asked for them back to go at it again, I just walked the fuck away. Totally incompetent and arrogant. When I got a chance to examine them later under some light after, they of course had signs of stress like microcracks along the bend (both plastic and inner wire). Don't trust just anyone with your glasses, especially when you rely on them heavily. Either way they are an expensive investment so don't take the chance. read more

I wanted to cancel my order, So I called them first. And they said "they can't cancel on the phone. So come to store." So I've visited store for canceling. then First They said " We can't cancel your order." While we are talking she changed to "There's no manager today, But she's here tomorrow, So Come tomorrow. We can cancel tomorrow." So I visited there again. Finally they said " we can't cancel your order now. After contact lenses come, we can cancel your order." I called once and visited 2 times. Couldn't tell right information when I call first time? Just wast of my time and made customer bad feeling. Just not worth to buy something at this store. the guy (wearing masks all the time)'s attitude is crazy. Bossy and Rude. Crazy. What a crazy service is this? I'd never go again. read more

Pluses: About 1/2 the cost $200 ish for new frames and the prescription. Friendly service. Large selection of frames for men and women. They have all the latest coatings for the lenses. They do take Visa now (sorry American Express, I'll leave home with out you ) Negatives: Always supper busy (need to be extremely patient) Takes 2 weeks for glasses to come in. Have to deal with all the Costco parking crazy Ness. Overall it is so worth it if you just stall patient. read more

Since unfortunately I broke my eyeglasses yesterday after stepping on them, I had to immediately get new ones made because I am as blind as a bat without them. I usually get my eyeglasses made at Costco because of the value and quality of the goods that Costco produces, so I went here today to get new eyeglasses. The girl who worked at the eyeglass counter suggested that I get an ophtamology exam and I didn't want to wait a few days to get it done at a medical office so I opted to get it down on sight with Dr. Henry Truong, who is the resident ophtamologist at this Costco. I immediately had a good feeling about this office when I first stepped in the door. One of the girls who works here, Hillary, was really nice and we had a great conversation about animals as she did my initial eye exams. I waited for about 20 minutes before I saw Dr Truong and he explained to me what was going on with my vision and made suggestions on what I could do as far as new eyeglasses go and he made feel at ease and was very affable and really, really nice. I felt like he explained the process completely to me and discussed my options and I am very happy I saw him. I put in the order for my eyeglasses and will have them in 2 weeks! I was told 3 weeks for my contacts. I called 3 weeks and 4 days later. The contacts won't even be ready in 10 more days and then they have to be shipped. This is of course out of their control - however, a courtesy call isn't....Asking if I'd like a refund to try and purchase them elsewhere isn't. read more

After doing lots of price research I found that Costco was the best choice for me. Quick example. Wallyworld wanted to charge me $300+ for Progressive, Transition lenses and Costco charged $200 including frames. With my insurance, I ended up paying $100. Kaiser was out of the question. Way too pricey. I love my glasses with designer frames. It's not an Optometrist office, it's Costco. This is the best decision I have made regarding glasses in awhile. If you want to save money and need some Progressive, glasses that Transition from light to dark with designer frames then this is the place for you. It was easy. As I was waiting for them to call my number I looked at the frames, picked the ones I wanted. Gave the lady my Kaiser prescription and insurance info. Waited one week and they were ready. It was painless. I too was skeptical at first but this is where my wife has been buying her contacts (inexpensive) for a while so I thought I would give it a try. I am happy and I can read car license plates in the dark again. My world is not a blurrrrrrr and yours does not have to be either. read more

Nice outfit . Clean and they wait till ur comfortable with the results before you walk out . Although they did charged me lower amount and then came back for more which can be a tricky situation but the lady was nice about it . Dr. Henry Truong is such a great optometrist. He's funny, polite, caring, and very detail-oriented. I came here for the first time and I already know this won't be my last time. The office setting is beautiful and calming, it makes you want to stay. The prices of this optometry is very cheap compared to a lot of places. If you have astigmatism and want to get contacts, the exam is $119 (as of 4/6/2018). They have new machines, not like the old ones, where you have to manually flip the lens. When you first enter, they check your vision for an estimate of what to place on the machine in the office. They also check for your eye pressure for glaucoma symptoms. Then you go in and Dr. Truong or Dr. Lee will take very good care of you. I highly recommend this optometry office in Costco. read more

I bought y first pair of glasses 2 years ago and they have failed completely. I read other reviews and seems like around this time or a year earlier they must have changed as to whom or how they make their lenses. Mine are all yucky and what I was told by another optical place is this is fluid under the transition part r such....no way to clean. I am taking back and see if can get a refund...or at least a pair of sunglasses with prescription....beware-if you find other reviews online-not on yelp you will be reading this. read more

I again visited the excellent Bayside Family Eyecare last week. Prescription in hand, I selected frames at Costco Vision Center. The salesperson was cordial, professional and efficient. Note that Costco Vision Center called only 5 (five) days later for me to pick up my specs! This is unprecedented performance. The salesperson adjusted the temples for a perfect fit. With the quantity discount, I had two pair of glasses for about the cost of a single pair elsewhere. It doesn't get any better than Costco Vision Center. read more

Dr. Henry Truong is truly a one of a kind optometrist who cares for his patients and builds as much of a personal relationship as well as a professional one. When I first came into Dr. Truong's office, I had to get another prescription when the pair I got wasn't working for me, especially as it was hard for me to see at night. I was worried that I would have to run through additional charges for another prescription, but because he was so understanding of my situation, he took care of me with a brand new prescription and made sure I got the care that I needed. I highly commend him not for providing great "customer service" but for taking the time to personally assess my situation and do everything in his capability to solve the problem I had at hand.
