For the reviews that say Midwestern Costco employees aren't friendly: they are Midwestern friendly. We've been members in CA and GA. The WI employees are just as helpful and friendly as elsewhere. It's a warehouse store! That said, I have always had great service at the Grange location. The employees will always stop what they're doing to help me find something. They seem to know what's in stock and what they're out of. They even looked all over for my mother's keys one day. I have a big family and shop here twice a week! They have great deals on fresh produce, frozen treats and chicken nuggets, coffee and even clothing. I particularly love Costco because they pay their employees and treat them with respect- it makes a difference!! The prices are low, and they still manage to pay living wages. I'm sold! To those who think the workers are unfriendly, maybe it's not the workers??? read more

Excellent merchandise selection at very good prices (usually). Their Kirkland branded merchandise is really good. The Kirkland. Rand booze is typically 50% less or more than the name brand and it's usually just as good. The parking lot is a bit strange so avoid the weekends if you can. read more

I just want to offer thanks again to Costco for staying the course on their Coronavirus response ... even as much of the rest of the country gets a bit wobbly. Costco's efforts include proactive social distancing for guests and employees, special shopping hours for seniors and special-needs folks, and giving priority access to Healthcare Workers and First Responders. We appreciate all these efforts, and it has increased the frequency of our Costco shopping trips ... notwithstanding the fact it ain't all that convenient here in urban Milwaukee! Admittedly, being a member makes me a tad biased. However if you base Costco to other warehouses, you'll see the difference. It is always clean here and the employees genuinely seem to care. We save a bundle on fuel here. The meat department offers a variety of cuts. The liquor and wine depot is huge with great prices. And its a great place to graze the samples! read more

I come to Costco often Costco is nice & clean Has many of the things I am looking for, even tires and gas. Grain free cat food is cheaper so that's always a plus - since thats what I feed my cats (it gets expensive if you are feeding 4 cats) You can't beat the friendliness of the employees. I also like the cheap hot dogs & soda that you can buy at the food court thingy if you are hungry. The pizza is good too. I will be back and keep my membership to Costco read more

Came here for new cars on my tire. Found out the actually ordered the wrong (more expensive) ones, but put them on at the price they quoted me. I was very happy how they handled the situation. The price was also extremely competitive - you should only buy when your brand of tires has a sale. This sale saved me quite a bit of money and I got Micheln tires. While waiting, I also hit up the food court which is the best value in the entire store, I would say. I got a slice of pepperoni pizza and a drink for under $2. And the pizza is delicious! They also have great deals on hot dog meals that come with a soda. Finally, the gas here is great and is usually 10 cents cheaper than anywhere else! read more

No organization, no aisle signs directing shoppers, scarce staff who were rather curt, and the checkout system is laughable. I came with a friend and was left scratching my head as to why anyone would PAY for a membership here. The worst part was the pounding headache I got from leaving- had to walk a good thirty feet past stacks 6ft tall of tires. My head was pounding once we got back to the car. Absolutely grungy and disgusting to store TIRES by food. I have no idea who likes this place. Prices are not cheap either. I wont be back. read more

Bulking up Come for the samples, load up on the goods. This location is super convenient and we stop in weekly for some of these awesome items: Spinach for the chickens, ground turkey meat, egg whites, cheese, and roasted chicken. For $6 I'll grab the biggest chicken and that ends up being lunch for the week. Yeah, it's nice to eat out but the chicken is super good! read more

Wonderful Costco. It was fun and not too packed. I know that Costco is famous for having long lines, but I either got lucky, or they understand time here and want you to get our fast. Had a great experience and while walking to the cashier and wondering how long it will take this time, I found it took less than 10 minutes. So people, Costco!! read more

We love going to Costco but beware of the meat department. This is the second time in the last couple months we brought home rancid meat, the first time was a pack of beef and this second time is pork ribs. I called them to let them know so they can investigate and make sure the bad batch was pulled from shelves so others don't get sick and the person on the phone says "oh well it happens". I highly doubt anything will be pulled from the shelves or investigated. I really do love this store and spend thousands at Costco a year I just wish the meat department would track their spoilage better. It's a terrible feeling throwing away meat like this! Thankfully they will issue us a full refund with receipt next time we come in to shop. We will be taking a break from purchasing meat at Costco for the time being! read more

I love Costco. Glad to have a new store close to home! This store is much like any other Costco, and with the grand opening, they have a few specials going on for a limited time. Once they're gone, they're gone. Prior to this store opening, we would frequent the Pewaukee location. The layout here is almost identical. Friendly staff and, of course, premium products at great prices. They have really good stuff here! Lots of free samples on weekends; unfortunately some shoppers forget their manners. read more

You know you're an adult when you get excited about a new warehouse store opening. I was extremely excited to have a Costco open up not too far from my home. Having been to the location in Pewaukee a couple of times, I had an idea of what to expect. However, I was still impressed with this store. Everything was organized nicely and the store is very well kept. In some ways, it is similar to Sam's Club. But in other ways, it's not. For example,while Costco and Sam's Club both have a liquor department, the selection at Costco is definitely larger. And while you can purchase health insurance through both stores, you can purchase auto and life insurance through Costco. They also offer mortgage purchasing and refinancing, among their many services. Another difference that I noticed right away was the live lobster tank. That was cool to see! The Kirkland Signature brand (Costco's store brand) is an excellent brand. They have many great items, from wine to food to household products. The one issue that I do have with Costco are the methods of payments that they take. Currently, they do not take Visa, Mastercard or Discover credit cards in store. For credit, they only accept American Express or the Costco credit card. Otherwise, they do accept personal check and debit/PIN based cards. However, they will accept most major credit cards on Costco.com. I do feel that they need to expand their in-store payment options. However, that will not deter me from shopping at Costco again. read more

If you have not shopped Costco yet you don't know what you are missing! First, workers are paid a minimum of $12/hr and trust me it shows by how they treat their customers. Product markups range from 10% to 14% which means they typically have some of the best deals. Clubs will typically get SKUs that are upgrades from the normal models. For example, a TV at another store might not have as quick of processor as the Costco version and will typically retail for more. Costco has an amazing wine and liquor section with crazy good prices. The Kirkland brand vodka for $14 a 1.75 liter is close to Grey Goose quality in my opinion. The bakery also has a half sheet cake with buttercream frosting for $19 which tastes exactly like a wedding cake. The produce section is small but they do have some veggie and fruit trays for entertaining. The frozen food section is a little slice of heaven with the sample people always selling me on their tasty treats. Meat is reasonable but typically is not what I purchase at Costco. Here are the MUST purchases at Costco: * Chicken salad from the deli * Sheet cakes * Chicken alfredo from the deli * Kirkland Vodka * Garlic asiago bread two pack * Any cheese -- all too tasty * Charcuterie tray * Truffle ravioli * Kcups The list could keep going....because I do LOVE Costco. My only small gripe is that the portion sizes are club size but that is to be expected. Now that the New Berlin location is closer to my house I doubt I will be able to stay away for more than a couple of weeks. read more

I come here for all my bulk needs. I get big packs of waters, toilet and paper towels,cereals, sometimes bed sheets or towels or vitamins and other food products. Its convenient to shop in bulk here don't have to go as often. Place always looks clean and organized. You can get eye glasses and appointments and they have a pharmacy. Love Costco, bought two half gallons of ice cream yesterday. You know it's good ice cream when they are full half gallons, unlike the supermarket brands that are shrinking steadily. And they are heavy, which means they aren't full of air. The store is always spotless, they have multlple motor carts available, which they didn't have when they first opened. Book selections are always new best sellers, clothing is well made. Paper products and laundry supplies in abundance. Lots of parking. Weekends, which we usually avoid because of the crowds, they have a variety of things to sample. At the end of the day, they deconstruct their rotisserie chickens and you can get a two and a half pound package of skinless meat for about ten bucks. Lamb chops are gorgeous and well cut. I have never had a bad product from Costco. It's well worth the annual fee. read more

I just pumped gasoline and for some reason had $100. debited from my bank account. Called and was told that was "normal" for that amount to be debited. Now I think I will change my pin on my debit card because a $100. withdrawal does not seem "normal" to me. We like the store and purchasing our gas there but since this has never happened any other time and the fact that the attendant didn't think there was anything wrong makes me leery :( read more

Ok, I caved in and bought a membership. It was $115.60 with tax for elite business membership. We received $20 Costco gift card, $55 credit and $60 worth of coupons. That made the membership essentially free. At the end of the year we get 2% back on purchased and will be issued a check. If we don't meet the minimum $55 cash back, Costco makes up the difference and we receive no less than $55. So the elite membership is like the regular membership in price. I took one star away for limited hours. At sams I can go early with my business membership. That saves time. If Costco offered extended hours for elite membership, they'd get five stars. read more

This is a much larger store than the Pleasant Prairie location. Aside from department locations, it has all the great products that I look forward to seeing. Also, the food samples are always available and new products arrive daily. I love looking around this store, and especially enjoy eating a snack at the cafe. My wife and I have been Executive Membership holders at this COSTCO since it opened. Rarely do we not shop there on a weekly or twice weekly basis. The meat quality is superb, fruits and veggie selection is great. Pricing on everything from daily grocery items, to gasoline, to liquor and specialty/seasonal items is outstanding. The store is neat and clean, the service at checkout is always prompt and efficient... no margin for complaints. My only suggestion for improvement is to have demos of the various cheeses they offer. I'm not willing to purchase s large block of cheese on a taste gamble. The parking lot has decent size parking spots but the layout and "road" width was designed apparently by a pre-school child wielding a crayon. The layout is standard "COSTCO" in an attempt to reduce speed, but it lends itself to cutting through aisles and difficult maneuvering on busy days. The salespeople selling satellite services, telephones and credit cards are a bit annoying. I'm in Sales and understand what they are tasked to do, but for heaven's sake how many times do you have to say "no thanks"? Can we purchase a pin to wear that indicates you've asked me this question three times already in the past three visits? I just want to look at the damned TVs and perhaps make an upgrade, NO I DON'T WANT TO LEARN ABOUT YOUR SATELLITE SERVICE OR SWITCH MY CELL PHONE PROVIDER. I did cave and have the COSTCO Credit Card - consider it your win, let me pass unmolested. read more

January 10th my wife ordered and paid for Michelin all weather tires for her SUV. She could not get an appointment until 24 January which turned out to be nasty snow weather. Costco automotive called before the appointment asking my wife if she would be able to make it due to the bad weather. My wife informed she better not make the drive and they rescheduled for the 26th at 7am. My wife arrived at 7am only to be informed the tires had not been delivered yet. The person at Costco automotive said they'd call when the tires were delivered but it could be a while before they could mount them. read more

The first time I went, the sample selection was seriously lacking. So I held off writing my review because I figured that they were just working out the kinks of opening. And man am I glad I did because they really stepped up their sample game- I'm talking full sized chicken wings, raviolis, dumplings, and more! You could have had a whole meal! They also have markers for the food that is being demo'd making it much easier for consumers to find the food they're devouring, which is something I haven't seen at the Grafton location. The location is clean, well lit, and the staff members are very helpful and not at all judgy when you come back for seconds of a sample. An awesome addition to the New Berlin area! If I could give no stars, I would. First I got yelled at by an employee for not grabbing a cart from the right section (???). Anyways, I went here with my mom's costco card in order to get her groceries during this pandemic. I get to the checkout and tell them it is my mother's card, and in turn the employees caused a scene and called over 5 other workers to interrogate me about the card. They then said I wasn't allowed to use the card unless I am also on the card. They then proceeded to say that I can pay for my things, but when I handed them my credit card they told me I can't use a credit card if I'm not a member -- only debit or cash. I ended up using my friend's debit card and left with only 3 items because I wasn't going to borrow $200 from my friend. Thank you to the 5 old women working at COSTCO who made it physically impossible to purchase groceries for my mother. You hang signs to stay 6 feet apart, you don't let anyone in without a mask, you hang gigantic glass between the cash register counters, but you won't let me get food for someone staying at home safe. Ridiculously rude and poorly handled...Sam's club would have allowed this. Have fun restocking everything you made a complete fiasco about. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect...my only comparison was Sam's Club. I was pleasantly surprised. No super high racks...things are laid out much nicer than Sam's. It's bright and cheery. Prices are similar...and everything is still bulk. Sample stations everywhere. And people acting as though they've never eaten. I liked the check out process a lot. Much smoother and less chaotic than Sam's. Sales staff friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they need more electric handicap scooters. I believe that only had 3...I got the last one and when I left the store a lady was anxiously waiting for one. For people that depend on those to navigate a large store: there needs to be more. I will be back. Sam's not so much. It was just a more pleasant shopping experience and I saw more things I wanted to buy. read more

This is "da bomb" of any Costco I have ever visited. It is obviously brand new but what makes this place special is the fact they have a sample at every freaking corners, sometimes two sample in one isle!!! I walked out of that place with a snazzy pair of exercise pants and a full stomach. Sooooo many freaking samples and the sample people were actually nice. One guy said to me "don't be shy..take two if you like it". Most of the time the old haggard women yell at you if come back for seconds. On top of everything they had at least ten lanes open, so I just rolled through. Love this Costco. read more

It seems like every time my Latina mother goes in its a problem. They always let her know that only the member is able to make purchases. Totally understandable, but what if it's someone else's cash? What if the items are a gift for the card holder? Nonetheless every time she walks in through the door and up to the register this is always reminded upon her. Even when she's with my Anglo stepfather, why is it that your employees always hassle her or when they're together? I've ran in when she's in the car with her card and never have had a problem paying with my card. It's Sad to acknowledge that it has to do with the way someone looks. C'mon Costco, we've been members for a while now and expected more. This problem we keep having here never happens at Sam's Club. read more

Costco has good products for good prices but some of things are bad quality like the electronics. The way they have the electronics set up is not good. Most people think of Costco as a grocery store and that is what it should be. All the decorations, home improvement, and electronics seem so out of place. The costumer service can be good or bad. If heaven was a place on Earth, it'd be Costco! They carry everything you can think of and at such a great deal! My fiancé and I will go here for groceries every two weeks to bulk up on his meal prep foods and it'll cost us under $100 every time, but last forever! You can spend the same amount and Pick N Save, but get 1/4 of the groceries that only last two days! The only downfalls that we've noticed is that Costco likes to cycle out some products for some seasons AND they like to move things around. However, we will always go here for our bulk needs (toilet paper, water, paper towels, Tupperware) because the prices are incomparable! Also, the food samples are a PLUS! We've been to Sams Club, but just seem to like it a lot less. Can't put our finger on it, but Costco is best. Would be amazing if there were more locations! read more
