I love Costco, but I hadn't made it out to this location yet! This has all of the great things that you're used to from Costco: gas station, optical, pharmacy, deli, bakery, clothing, food galore, and a variety of housewares and more. The one tricky thing, which I find is true at a lot of locations, is that it seems like they are all set up just a little bit differently. This means you can't be quite as efficient and quick if you go to a location you are less familiar with. I usually assume that Costco is going to take me awhile, though, since I always want to check out the new products and samples, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a marketing technique to ensure you see more stuff! Entrance/exit to the parking lot can be a little trickier here than some of the other locations, but if you look for the one with the stop light, it's a bit easier. Despite the fact that it's the newest Costco on the block, it was still hopping and had a good crowd. read more

We pushed off a motorist today with two children in car. She ran out of gas it was 25 degrees this morning. This gas station refused to give her gas so her car quit on busy 161!! Who knows how long she was there! Nobody helped her til we showed up. We drove home almost to plain city grabbed our gas can and helped her. This must of been a real piece of shit gas attendant!! I hope karma comes. This business doesn't care stop paying them to buy food n refuse a lady 2 gallons of gas to get to another station! They're idiots!!! read more

I'm sure this is true of Costco nationwide and not just in Florence, KY. They must have an arrangement with VISA. The store processes your purchase as a "cash advance." If you have a bank that caps your cash advances as a percentage of your credit line, that can cause you problems when you wand to make a real cash advance. Credit One Bank is one such bank. He let me wait for an hour and finally when my turn came he said, he will place order and I have to wait for an hour more though. So I got pissed off... And left... You come for the milk, and other essentials, but always find a little more. We live very close and this has become our main grocery store. We find the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The samples are always nice bonus. We can never find cheaper gas in the area. Returns are completely hassle free and you don't even need a receipt, because your shopping history is tied to your membership. The only thing I don't care for are the sales people that pushing certain products that rotate. read more

Today was a lesson learned I approached this costco gas station today realizing that my car was on zero miles till empty thank God Costco was there... So I thought . I asked the clerk for 20$ in fuel abd his first response was I'm not accepting cash which I thought was weird. So I than said well I have charge card as well as I attempted to purchase my fuel he then said are u a member me clueless no but how do I sign up . The clerk looks at me and says I didn't think so you don't fit the description of a member and that I should be on my way.. shocked bg the way I was being treated I asked and what dose a member look like is it because my skin tone is darker than yours and he had no reply. An older man who was a member pulled up I said sir may u please use my charge card is buy my gas and his the clerk then told him if he helps me he would lose his member ship. A half mile down the Rd my car stopes and I had to pay 75 dollars for a tow to the next gas station . Subject So angry and disappointed Went on Costco.com, I am a member. Wanted to order a Christmas tree. This particular tree (is not available in store I checked) is delivered to your place of choice. Well...no matter which available date I chose it sends me back to pick another date stating that it isn't available. I tried for 2 days. Finally called customer service and they weren't sure why this was a problem after walking me through all the steps I have been trying for 2 days. I was transferred to someone doing orders in warehouse...again walked through the same steps to get the same results. I was put on hold by the employee after he was unable to fix the problem. I was told he was getting his supervisor. Back on hold.....after a few more minutes no one came back and then I was hung up on. Apparently no one could figure it out and instead of being professional and explaining that to me they just hung up. I waiting for a call back seeing as though they have my member number and account pulled up but NOTHING.I was on the phone with these people for over an hour! I just bought my membership in May and this was my first "online" order with Costco. WOW just WOW, maybe joining wasn't such a great idea. It was a 609.00 sale for ONE item that no one could seem to place!!! Also this was an email I sent to Costco customer service and the response I received was that Costco no longer took care of customer complaints by email and you can only reach them by phone!! Was highly disappointed at the Plain City, OH Costco location today! Having bought a heavy piece of furniture, asked for help to lift it into our car. The employee who came had a bandana mask around his neck & no where near his nose or face! He was talking loud without the mask directly into the face of my husband, who is getting towards being a Senior citizen! I felt very distraught and wanted to tell him to pull his mask up but refrained! In hindsight I should have. But this goes to show that he did NOT take the health of his customers very seriously! This location gets a 2 star just because it's Costco! Where it continually falls short is the staff working the registers. They are super friendly .....to each other, but not to customers. They love chit chatting and it makes me feel like the outsider. I have experienced this on three different occasions. I went through one whole check out without as much as a hello. Each of the three times, I have purchased something that requires staff to get it from the locked stock area. First, I have to track down a person because there is nobody over there. Then I have to wait while they do 5 other things and then they get the item I paid for. I am not exaggerating when I say I waited five minutes once, I timed it. Overall, not very much fun to shop here. I feel like they think customers are a bother. Unfortunately, Costco needs to realize they need us! read more

Everything here is good. The camera we bought is excellent quality and less expensive than anywhere else. We have bought pans that we wear out from cooking so much, they last as longer than expected. The clothes have been great, I am disappointed when I cannot replace a piece because it has been sold out. The food is the best. There isn't an item that isn't quality. read more

Huge shoutout to the cashier Angie. I was easily able to get in to the store with my moms card. Wanted to pick up ONE thing as a SURPRISE for my mom that she said she liked while she was there. Went up the the register and Angie said she wasn't able to charge the card to my mom since she wasn't there. Even though I have done this PLENTY of times over the years that we have been members. Offered to pay with cash since then I would be the one paying, not my mom. Knowing this item was supposed to be a surprise for my mom, she still said no, not without her. Love the new Costco in Plain City!!! Don't go on Saturdays and Sundays in the afternoon though, it's really busy.

New location is open on 8/11/16 - awesome as always. Great addition to the northwest Columbus area.

The store itself is great. Great prices, great quality, and great layout. However, I almost walked away from signing up the first time due to the extremely pushy sales people. I just wanted to join at the gold level which I politely stated multiple times, but the very pushy(almost rude) sales guy did not want me signing up if it was less than an elite membership. I'm sure they receive some sort of commission based on how many people they get to upgrade to the elite, so I get it- but the amount of times he asked me to upgrade and the way he asked was a bit ridiculous. read more

Great service from Ken at the hearing aid center. Ken was patient and explained everything. Being able to try a pair of hearing aids on and programmed for my needs and walk around the store was great. I was able to try different situations with my wife to see where the strengths were and what might need a look at. Final price was as disclosed when we first started the process. I like no surprise situations. I will steer others to Costco Hearing Centers and particularly to Ken here's Plain City. read more
