**REVIEW JUST FOR THE TIRE CENTER** My fiancé's dad purchased her tires under his Costco membership at a different location. Before coming in, she confirmed multiple times -- both in person and over the phone -- that it would be okay for me to bring the vehicle in for service as long as I had a Costco membership and the original invoice. When I arrived for a simple tire rotation, employee Gaibriel immediately questioned why I was there and implied we were doing something wrong because I was not the original purchaser. I had never spoken to any Costco employee before this - all communication was done by my fiancé - yet I was treated like I was trying to take advantage of the system. He even said he would flag my account and make a note so that if this "happens again," I would be charged. That was completely unnecessary. If there was an issue, he could have simply said they couldn't perform the service. Luckily, he gave me a one-time exception. The inconsistency and lack of communication within the department is unacceptable. He took my phone number twice, yet they still called the wrong number when the vehicle was ready. I waited almost two hours for a service that was completed in about one hour. When I went to ask about it, he insisted they had called me. They had not. They called the wrong number! Attention to detail is clearly not in their favor for a tire service center. To make things worse, he pointed me in the wrong direction to pick up my vehicle, which added to the confusion and frustration. I also noticed on the invoice that the lug nuts were over-torqued. That's funny because the last time the tire service was done was at this same location months ago. So this is not just a communication issue but also a quality control issue. What upset me most was being made to feel like I was a criminal when I was simply following the instructions that your own employees gave us. Really disappointed in how their team handle people customer service wise at the pharmacy. If I'm ignorant to something educate me on it. Don't make me feel stupid about it... had an issue with a prescription. I'm being told one thing by a tech, another by the pharmacist. Then it's phone tag from my end since they won't return my calls when they find out something, do or don't contact my Dr office, etc... super frustrating. Moving my prescription in hopes that's if I do find myself asking questions I'm not judged or talked down to due to that. read more

I love Costco! Food selections to Gas prices to Car Tires/Batteries lol I come in regularly maybe at least once a week. The last time I ordered pizzas ahead for my son's classroom for his birthday and I just made a call a day ahead for 2 peps 1 chz pizzas at noon. I came in following day and the pizzas were ready no wait except the line you go in. Of course. I end up getting distracted with all the new items that came in like the cucumber Kim chi which is really really good! Then the Dubai Truffles which reminds me of a fig newton but way yummier. Customer Service is the worst at the Abby Location!! 2 days ago, I purchased a box of Kerrygold Irish Butter at this location in Fresno; and was charged $32.58 for the one box of butter. I Called the warehouse to try to rectify this error. First call was cut off after 20 rings. Called again, another 20 rings; got cut off again. 3rd tried, someone finally picked up the phone but told me i had to go in to get the refund. They could have easily looked it up on my account to see the errors but too lazy to do so. After wasting 15 minutes on the phone to get help. They couldn't even bother. Will not shop at this location again. Very poor service!! read more

Used to come here often before moving closer to the Clovis location. I've never had any issues with the staff. Costco and I have a love and hate relationship. Love buying bulk which can save on certain products, hate that I always come out spending $300... each time. I also found that they don't all carry the same items. I'm so used to the Clovis location so that when I end up coming here the set up confuses me. I also do prefer the gas station location in their Clovis location. I noticed this location lines get really long and so much traffic and for some reason the line just moves slower. Overall no complaints about Costco. Love the food court prices and portions. read more

This is by far one of the busiest Costco's I have ever been too. The parking is a bit of a nightmare, the checkout lines were so much more manageable when they moved all the clothing up front of the store (so you could line up between clothing "islands"), also the food court lines can get pretty gnarly. Even with all those drawbacks it's still Costco so I still love it. I am usually at this local about once or twice a week. The team members are always happy, helpful & in a good mood. read more

The management here ganged up on my poor little dad. Needless to say we are all Costco customers for life. My parents and now me after getting married to someone who makes Saturday trips to Costco spending happily. My husband and I do not get produce from Costco. I have told my parents to stop too. But they are loyal confident customers and my dad loves his fruit. So tell me why they get mangoes whenever they go and this time they came out horrible- My dad went to Costco to return them and 3 managers came out and bullied him telling him he can't return them. They said he has a history of returning fruit (not true). He's a sheepish little brown engineer. He doesn't even go to Costco much it is usually my mom spending recklessly. I was appalled. We usually love our Costco's up in sac, great customer service. But i was really upset to hear that they were mean to my father over their bad batch of mangoes. Lighten up management! This establishment stopped being a place that competes on the basis of its wonderful return policy and now it's just a big box store that will challenge everybody's return with their updated return policy. No food item returns unless it's defective. Previously a, "try and if you don't like return." Electronics (defective GoPro 10) return within 90 days, period. So now that their unique attributes are no longer, the value is limited big box options at possibly better prices. Even this we've found a workaround by doing our homework with local grocery stores. I've slept on Costco for too long. This place can be an anxiety inducing fever dream, but for folks with kids it's kind of a savior. I try to shop local as much a possible, but something's just don't translate. My kids eat like savages; so I get all of our frozen food, lunch snacks, and gallons of "healthy" vitamin water for tee-ball practice here. The massive quantities last way longer which keeps us from hitting the grocery store every weekend and helps us save a little coin. We sometimes get fruit and booze here, but most everything else would spoil before we could consume it all. I do love those Costco hot dogs and chicken bakes. That's worth the trip alone! read more

Staffs were not friendly. I was having trouble with the gift card (possibly caused by the App Wallet feature) but staff just pointed the finger on the screen and treated me like using a fake gift card. Went to customer service desk and got similar experience even after I showing her the purchase history to proof what I did just say my issue. read more

The food court pizza system is an absolute disaster. They are taking phone orders, walk ups, and mobile orders and your order WILL GET LOST GUARANTEED. The staff regularly turns you away when you've been waiting more than 45 min! They tell you 20 min on the phone and you'll wait an hour and a half and staff feels NOT EVEN AN LITTLE sympathy for you. They give out pizzas that aren't yours to the ones who for some reason get caught in the cross fire and don't get their pizza on time. You're supposed to complain enough until they'll finally give you your order, and by your order I mean it's likely someone else's, who then is going to go through the same thing you went through because they gave out your order. Awful customer service. I ordered several pizzas over the phone and was told only to wait in line when I got there. Then when I did so the employee behind the counter told me I needed to pay at a side register which didn't take cash. I asked the people behind the counter several times for help and they ignored me. My review is regarding their roasted chicken. they have gone down so horrible in cooking the chicken till well done. Yes it's cheap but I'd rather pay a little more, then buying it haft way done PLEASE. I hate to say this but Smart and Final is way better. cook well and has a fantastic flavor. In my experience Costco's return policy isn't the same anymore. When I went to return a supplement I bought Sonia said that it sounds like a manufacture problem. Then she said that the bottle had to be at least half full. The funny thing is, the supplement said something like "Our product will work within 4 weeks" (which requires me to take consume the whole bottle). So how could I return a product saying it doesn't work if I only consumed 50% of it. It's really weird. Also a while back I tried to tell her a bag of lemons went bad and she told me that when it comes to food I don't need to bring it in. Then next time I had burger patties that tasted awful. I went there and she said I had to have brought the food in. If I had known that I would have just brought the patties. So just as an FYI if you need to return food that didn't taste good, just bring it. Don't be embarrassed, even if it's soggy or smells horrible just bring it, that's the policy. read more

We have been a member since 2011 and you can find great prices for bulk items and sometimes clothes plus shoes. We've also have gotten great deals for restaurants and vacations. They just got self checkout at this Costco by river park and it's really made it easier. Membership runs from $60-$120 for a year and you get two cards one for you and another person. The funny part is our most favorite part is the food court! Now that it's back open this food court is still offering the amazing hot dogs with a drink $1.50 which you can't beat, pizza ($2-$10) and the chicken bake($2.99) read more

I think we all know what we're getting into going to Costco, but today was an experience that I obviously have to share. Run in to grab a couple things before 12pm and I get in line at 1150am. There are 3 people ahead of me, So it's only a couple of minutes. As soon as I put my things on the conveyor belt, 2 associates begin change over. WITH 8 people behind me in line. They stop what they're doing and start counting out the register so the other person could take off (instead of closing the line down or saying anything). Me and the guy behind me are dumbfounded and I am not happy at all. I state out loud "it's not like they're 10-12 people in line or anything" and they ignore me. It's now 1207pm and the new young lady scan my membership card, rolls her eyes sarcastically and says "thank you for waiting so patiently".... I ignore her comment completely. I have my daughter with me so I grab ahold of the little patience I have left to just get through the transaction. My daughter asked if she could get a hot dog and my reply was "if daddy has to wait in another long line, he's gonna turn into a grizzly bear". The cashiers response as she smacked her lips "hmph, thanks for waiting so patiently " loud enough that the guy behind even looked up like "wtf". I finished checking out and left. I've been a Costco member for years, as I have been a member for years. I have also used their optical department. They have recently changed their line policy having people scan a we code and wait digitally. Sometimes it can be busy. And while I understand Costco can be busy and there is wait, I think it is not allowing all members people who do not know how to use a QR code. Each time I go I see people struggling to scan it one person didn't have a smart phone so the just wrote their name down after some back and forth about it. One time I decided to sit by the hearing area there are two seats there r he employee there said "I am assuming you're not here for the hearing center?" I said no. She said "okay, just if someone elderly comes please let them sit " of course I said but then I started thinking ... who are you to tell me where to sit? as someone with elderly parents I was irritated. Don't assume I'm not there for the hearing department and don't tell me to give up my seat. If there was someone who needed to sit and I was there and didn't move then yes tell me to move, but I felt like to was assuming I was entitled to make that comment. Your seats are not special. Other issues is "sometimes" they ask for id for self checkout. The line to exit was so far back was literally stopped as people were trying to exit. It was a 5 minute wait to leave! -when I order my contacts they never ask about eye insurance! Never! So make sure you ask! All my waiting allowed me to write this! read more

Costco, Fresno: 13 Apr 2021 Every now and then, Costco comes up with new dessert options. Today, we decided to find out what their Chocolate Dream taste like. These come in 'real glass' champagne flutes. They're beautiful to look at. We calculated that a glass cost $2.16 - and we could re-use them. If you enjoy sweet desserts, the rich mousse and cookie crumbs were quite tasty - and the serving was just right for me. I rate this 4 of 5 for the dessert and their ingenuity. read more

I seriously love Costco! We live such a busy life that buying in bulk is best for us! The quality and price are great on most things. They have everything I need but Timothy hay for my bunny. Other than that, this is our main place to shop at for food, toiletries, vitamins and other miscellaneous things. Sometimes Costco gets busy especially on weekends. I usually go later in the evening around 1- 2 hours before they close. There aren't crowds of people at that time so it's definitely easier to shop. I really like that they sell a lot of organic products. We are trying to eat healthier so there are a lot of options for healthier items. But of course there are the temptations of the junk food when it's on sale! Most of the time employees aren't very helpful or friendly. So, I've learn to not ask for help. They somewhat greet you when you enter and leave. The cashiers usually greet us but then continue their conversations with their coworkers around them. I'm not sure where they learn to box my items but sometimes they don't do a very good job of boxing my things. I have to rearrange them when I get to my car. They will place raw meat with my produce and heavy stuff on my eggs. Chemical cleaning stuff next to my bread... I noticed they are displaying their samples but not for actual sampling. I miss those days where we get to sample foods. I remember back in my college days, we didn't have much money for food we would come here for samples as our dinner. The last time I came here, I did receive a detergent pack as a sample. It can get a bit messy because these customer go through the clothes and throw it all around. Or if a customer changes their mind they just place their unwanted items everywhere. I don't see things misplaced often because I usually do see staff going down the aisles to organize and put things where they belong. ** I do cook everyday and every meal so our shopping trip is usually $200-$500 each trip for 2-4 weeks worth of food. Costco is very busy store, I like 15 item less line to check out. Cleanliness store. They need to bring back ice to the front. Easier to pick up on the way out after paid. They used to be nearby food court and now they not there anymore. Ice in freezer section but they do melts in cart while shopping. read more

They've got everything from fresh produce to electronics to that dangerously good rotisserie chicken--and it's usually well-stocked. The staff is helpful, checkout lines move faster than you'd expect. That said, the parking lot is pure chaos. It feels like a free-for-all every time I pull in, and finding a spot can be a battle. If you go during peak hours, bring snacks for the parking hunt. Still, it's Costco--worth it for the savings and giant tubs of hummus. read more

It is so aggravating that the ordering is not consistent and I checked, it has nothing to do with supply, it has to do with people . Who do not know how to order. I always find expired product, number 1 is snappel drinks. I've found them to even be expired by a year !! The warehouses, are getting worse day by day. Staff barely know how to look up items or even know what's going on with all the items that consistency ruining out or we don't know when it's coming in. I've been told, " that was discontinued, then I see it again within a few weeks. Most Staffs training seems to be limited and the computer program looks dated or again no training on how it actually works. I've started to go to Sam's club more and more. Lastly, Costco prices are limited to what we save. There's better deals at other markets, Smart&Final is great option! Management and staff need to be trained and Costco needs to really train their employee on ordering and sale by dates. A day before Halloween, I decided to stop by Costco to check out the candy. Since the bag of fun sized candy and box of full sized candy were both 19.99 so I decided to take the full sized candy. I walked around the store looking for something for my Halloween potluck at work and didn't find anything. I went to check out and saw the self checkout was full, but there was no line behind me. I moved to the left so I can see both the right and left side of the registers to see what will open up next and a line started forming behind me, but where I was standilg before,, then when the guy at the end register called for the next guest, I went to it, he accused me of not waiting in line, then when I got defensive and told him where I had been standing, he called me hostile. I was so upset because I pay the membership and was actually waiting in line and didn't know why he was treating me like I was so lowly, then the girl cashier who handled the middle self checkout register spoke kindly to me because i was so upset. I then realized I had come straight from work on Wacky Wednesday and I was wearing mismatched shoes, a Christmas sweater, a leopard dress underneath and a Dodgers beanie and that he was treating me lowly because of the way I was dressed. I went to dollar tree right after this and got offered some money which I declined, lol. Other than the self check out cashier accusing me of cutting in line which is actually a pet peeve of mine, like nails on a chalkboard, my experience here has been fine. Went to Abby Street Costco in Fresno, California. Those employees on the floor were patient and kind, John even took me to product I was asking if they had!! NOT SO with check out!! Two employees actually ARGUING LOUDLY with one another!! One's name was Ron, a tall man, the other had no name tag, short, stocky and balding. Then there was the very RUDE person at the food court... on top of that, they no longer even have onions, relish, or dispensary mustard or ketchup!! Plain hot dog... HORRIBLE!!!!
