My mom and I share a membership, my mom placed an online order for warehouse pickup. She did not designate a person to pick it up, even though it was going to be me and we are on the same membership. Sara asked me to provide her proof via seeing the order. At all times she handled herself professionally, calmly and provided education to my mom in a phone call to where she needed to do that. Employees like Sara that can assist customers calmly are gold, specifically disabled customers who can't do for themselves, are elderly and technology is advancing beyond them! Moving the stars up to 4. The parking lot is still an absolute nightmare but I just park far, I don't mind the extra steps. Since having my membership for a year I've had the chance to try different things. The ceviche, pinwheels and rosemary chicken breasts are some of to staples of mine as well as their fruit platters. I recently picked up their 8 count of gourmet cupcakes and they are huge and high quality. You can lie and say it's from an upscale bakery and people would believe it lol Kitty litter, toilet paper , wipes and friskies dry food are another common purchases for me and I save money buying it in bulk. I sampled their aspire energy drink and have been liking those too. Whenever we have work events I come here to put all the plates, cutlery and sodas. The gas at their recently built gas station is cheaper than other gas stations with much shorter lines. They take American Express here which is great. Got a few items for lunch, dinner & dessert. My favorites so for were my Avocado Ranch Cobb Salad and my Ceasaer Salad. Dessert- If you love cheesecake- their frozen pumpkin cheesecake is absolutely divine. Only issue is, my card got charged twice- Reached out to my card, told me to reach out to merchant, reached out to Sam's and they told me to reach out to card. This was my first time shopping at Sam's club cus I just got a one year membership for $20 with a discount. It reminds me of Costco but also Walmart cus I think they partner or work with Walmart.. I'm not too sure on that but that's what I heard. It's like Costco cus they have stuff there in bulk. Not a fan of the parking lot. It's narrow af. I like that when we walk in we aren't asked to show our card like how Costco does it. They have a bunch of self check outs which I also love. Gets me in and out faster. They had a good deal on the yellow dragonfruit it was two for like $6.98.. usually one alone in a regular store cost that much. I found the swiffer box that came with two liquid solution refill and double the amount of one box of the pad refills. It was a great price. I even got a large indoor mat of nice quality. The bacon three pack was a great price as well, like $10.98. I usually don't buy store bought sushi but their sushi looked pretty good so I grabbed that. It was a good price so I had to. I still haven't checked out the whole store yet so don't know what else they got. But so far, so good. I wish they took tap tho. Just like Walmart, no tap neither. I love Sam's Club. I love that no matter when I go I can go in get what I need and come out fast. I love the scan and go, and the self check out. They make it so easy to get in and get out and not have to stand in line. I especially love that I can do the pick up at 7 AM. I order online pick up my merchandise at 7 AM, no one in the parking lot, I love it. No matter what time I go into the store or get gas or do the pick up the employees are always super nice and super fast. I've never asked a question about anything that they could not answer. Everyone that works there is super knowledgeable and I love it . They always have a large variety of everything that I need, I don't think I've ever needed to purchase anything that they did not sell in Sam's Club. So convenient, gotta love it. read more

I hate this area, the store. It's a once a year stop for me. The parking lot is TIGHT and zoo-like. It's crowded and there's really nothing here that I can't get at Costco. It's just managed stress shopping here, getting in and out. The gardening sections are subpar with the cheapest dollar store quality pots for plants. Almost expect to see used, peeled back tire/planter offerings. I suppose I'm hoping something amazing will pop up but it's THE LOW of the low-end shopping at its best. Big deal. Need to let this go! He didn't see it in 5 seconds so he had me make a different trip. Also they don't care about cycling stock, they will give out new and leave the old so you might get it dried up and close to expiration, I need to just quit and end my membership! read more

The bad: I'm going to be very clear, this cake was ordered w/Teal & Red. They wrote the name about 6" wide & didn't have Class of 2023. & somehow this is the result! The good: Their Fujisan sushi is the best you will get in Fresno/Clovis. Better than all the restaurants, too! (As in the Central Valley's sushi is terrible!) The ugly: check the attached picture. This lady loves to cuts up a storm. That might be fine if she worked in the garage or in the warehouse, but SHE IS A GREETER!!! Upon our entering she was talk to a coworker about "...this b***ch..." I took her picture, only to discover she was going to solidify herself within the annals (might have spelled that wrong *shoulder shrug *) of Sam's Club's worst, deserving a proper demotion to their sister company, by talking about "...a**..." Yeah, she might like to be profane outside of her job, but I definitely don't appreciate her bringing her problems to work. (There were kids entering upon our exit, so I was extra riled up at her actions.) Beyond that, it is nice that we have the option for mobile pick up and to scan our selected items on our phone as we shop and make the payment on our way up to the exit checker. I got a membership for $20. I've seen it $15 other times. It is comparable to another wholesale place I frequent but I prefer the other one. There is way more junk food/processed foods/snacks here compared to the other wholesale spot. Their pizza and pretzels at the snack bar are super affordable and taste good. It's a good snack to hold you off but there's always a line. I like their clothing options for women. I'm petite and can usually find my size there. Service is comparable to Walmart. Scan and go option seems cool. I'll have to try it soon to get me out faster. The customers and parking is terrible. Every time we park or are trying to leave, people drive with little to no consideration to others. They're in a rush and rude. Very ragey parking lot. Don't get me wrong. BEWARE!!!! Sam's Club in Fresno knowlingly sells gift cards that have been tampered with by scammers and does not accept returns on purchased invalid cards. They continue to leave their gift card display open to scammers and then sell the cards to the public. You are playing Russian Roulette by purchasing gift cards from Sam's Club. My family and I were just at Sam's club and everyone was SOOO sweet until we got to the door to leave.. 5 carts/ families went through and the lady (Tasha) didn't even check what they had and when my facts made it to the front she was checking EVERYTHING extremely closely... every time we go we have our receipts ready because we know they have to check but she was letting everyone go until it got to us... We gave her all our receipts but she kept saying she couldn't find the brussel sprouts.... Then eventually she let us through. Again we watched her let like 5 white families by but then it came to us and she HAD to check EVERY single item and the line behind us was growing and the family behind us also thought it was crazy. We have been to Sam's many times and know how it works and they always stop everyone so I don't understand why it was different while she was there.. we have never felt disrespected the way we did tonight. read more

It was a bit of a transition from Costco to Sam's, but in all honesty I have grown to like Sam's Club and like it a lot. Not only do they have more variety, but they have ample amounts of it as well. I have yet to shop at Sam's Club and not have an item I was looking for. Prices are another reason I have made the switch. Sam's Club prices are lower than its competitor and a woman on a budget like me needs to save as much possible. The store itself is super clean and organized. I have renewed my membership for another year and I am glad to make this my home wholesale store. P.S. I dropped one star because they do not offer fuel pumps in the Fresno area. :/ read more

I went to Sam's Club on 08/25/20 as I needed to pick up my card and plus I wanted to see what the deals they got going on. It just reminded me of Walmart as they had a little bit of everything. When you enter you need you need to have your membership card ready as you cannot enter the store without it. They have security in front making sure. Walking around they have a little bit of everything. They have a bakery, deli sections and meats too! Everything you would find at a traditional grocery store with more bulk items. The store is huge which made things look skimpy inside as everything is spaced out. The prices on bulk items seem the reasonable and they do have some unique items I have not seen in bulk before. Staff seemed friendly as I really didn't interact with them much. Clean inside. Not sure how often I'll come here but who knows. If I find myself in the area I may pop in again! read more

We love shopping at Sam's club. Sam's club has exclusive prices and products that other competitors don't. They also have a Sam's club app that allows you to get even better deals and shop through their scan and go feature. We love scan and go mainly for the café, because the line at the café tends to get extremely long and ordering through scan and go gets you virtually in line by having your order already placed and bring prepared. The food is so yummy here and for a GREAT price. A large hot dog with a soda for less than $2?? What a steal. The pizza and ice cream are my favorite things about the café. Even if you're not needing to shop, you can always grab a bite at the café! It's worth getting the membership here. read more

I enjoy coming here when I need to grab a few items in bulk. Sometimes I'm able to find things I need and sometimes I am not. I don't see a lot of organic foods here which is a bummer. Majority of the time, prices are comparable to other wholesale places. There may be a few items that are more expensive or less expensive by a few dollars. It usually isn't very busy and I am able to shop around without bumping into other people's carts. I really do enjoy the scan and go! It makes it so much more convenient for my shopping experience. I don't have to wait in line and then wait to scan my items. I just scan as I place things in my cart. When I'm done, I just check out and pay. My receipt is also available electronically. Staff here are usually pretty nice and will definitely help when I ask a question. They don't brush me off and will usually go above and beyond in helping me find what I need or finding other alternatives. Before I became a member, I was able to get a day pass. Most products was disorganized, and most of their products were in a weird aisle that didn't belong there, and some had no pricing sign on them. Sam's is my happy place. I am notoriously frugal, not cheap, but frugal. I never pay full retail price for anything. That's why I love Sam's the most. For example, you can get two dozen roses for about $16 all year long. Prices on coffee you ask? Definitely $5 or $6 cheaper than retail. In the last year, I have purchased three sets of mattresses and frames, a water cooler, and a trashcan. As well as many sets of clothes and shoes for my whole entire family. I mean where else can you get tires and a smoothie?? They have several different memberships and honestly the membership pays for itself with savings and annual cash back. I placed a delivery order which never made it to my house. I called Sams Club and after the phone rang for 5 mins it hung up on me. I called back and someone finally answered. They never give their names when they answer the phone. Very unprofessional. I spoke to Jacob in the pickup/delivery dept and he was not empathetic to the situation they put me in. He did not try to help me. He said call customer service. I said customer service can't help me. This is the second time Sams Club has failed to deliver my order. I asked to speak to a manager. Drea got on the phone. She blamed the 3rd party delivery service. I explained to her that I had a party that day and needed my items. Drea was a bit more empathetic than Jacob but she admitted that she was not familiar with the club delivery process. She said they would "try" to have my items delivered again. Nothing ever came! Never have I been so disappointed with a business. Once is forgivable. Twice is a complete lack of accountability. I had to scramble at the last minute to replace the items I needed for the party that day. Jacob offered a $15 giftcard for the inconvenience. That's how much they care about their loyal Plus customers. The stress of the last minute scrambling that they caused they take no responsibility for. The first time they failed to deliver my items they offered a $25 giftcard for the inconvenience. I knew I should have canceled my membership at that time. Instead I chalked it up to a one time thing because did love Sam's Club. Instead they made the same error they made before. They didn't bother to change anything to ensure other customers don't have to deal with the same BS. I do not recommend using their delivery service. They offer delivery as a convenience but it is actually an inconvenience. And, when you call them, if they even pick up the phone they'll try to pass you off to customer service instead of doing their job. I prefer to deal with customer service but in this case and from the previous incident I knew customer service would refer me back to the store. For the last eight months I have been mostly buying online and I've had no problems until today. These items came in a box that was not secured well with bubble wrap the crackers were crushed from the 50 Oz can of chicken and the chicken can was dented on the top and the side. I had trouble navigating the online site for a return and decided to call the store. After pressing 0 to speak to an associate I held on for five minutes with no one answering. Big shout out to the manager Dayra (not sure, her name tag was faded) for taking your face mask off multiple times during our conversation and refusing to stay 6 ft away from me DESPITE ME ASKING YOU TO. Shout out to Conrad as well for not wearing your mask properly on the job and keeping it below your nose. Dayra's bad attitude and patronizing did not help the situation either. When it comes to customer service, no one comes close to the worst performer in this category than Sam's Club. The likelihood of being double-charged for your monthly membership or an item at the checkout counter is very high here. This happened to me twice. Last Sunday I came here to buy two items and spent a few bucks for a slice of pizza. When I got to the exit I realized I accidentally threw out my receipt with the pizza napkins. The overzealous door monitor would not let me leave without showing my receipt. He said I had to wait in the long-ass customer service line to recover the receipt. It took an hour to leave the store. The only reason I keep my membership active is because the orange juice and bakery items are bargains.
