Earlier this month on the second I ordered my glasses and I received a text message yesterday stating they were ready for pick up at my Costco. I was super fun finally happy to get the new glasses. I made a quick stop at this Costco with 2 of my friends to see if they have the viral Dubai chocolate bars. We looked all over, and nooooope!! So yeah, this Costco sucks. Lol jk jk!! It's pretty basic. They had all the demos/samples going on since we went in the middle of the day. It wasn't super crowded which was a plus. Parking was okay. I've seen worse! Yesterday my wife placed the order online. She received message order would be delivered at a specific time. I left my appointment to get home to receive this order for our timeframe. Waited she received an email saying order was canceled due to the fact that her Costco account membership is in question. Online could not help us. So when she got off her, and I went to Costco on West Shaw, and spoke with two managers, who then went to the office researched the issue, and found that our account was blocked, which they would not openly admit initially once returning back to the customer service desk. However, they misunderstood the situation as Costco possibly owed us $120. When a vacuum was returned in store. Then we spoke with Rachel and another manager. I explained personally after they gave us the explanation of what was going on and why the membership was put on hold/BLOCKED!!!! It turns out that two other supervisors from a visit on January 10 two weeks prior took care of the transaction with my wife for the return of the vacuum did not do it correctly because the two managers that were assisting my wife and then the third manager, Rachel all could not understand what they did. That obviously is a training issue that obviously is an internal problem. However, member services blocked my wife's account per Rachel letting us know. Rachel did say that that employee could not do that without letting another manager know to assist her in blocking the account!!!!! SO THAT IS A TOTAL OF FOUR MANAGERS AND ONE HOURLY EMPLOYEE. I REQUESTED EVERYONE'S NAME AND OR ID NUMBER'S COSTCO CORPORATE NUMBER COSTCO PHONE NUMBER. All I received was a phone number for Costco corporation no email no contact person who the block was added by and on what date and the job title of the hourly employee. Rachel did not provide me with any other person's information as to inform and file a complaint with corporate due to the fact that we were in the situation that we were in. I did let Rachel know that I was frustrated, irritated with the fact that we had to go through this, but it was not her fault or the other two managers that we were dealing with at that time. I did ask her clearly for that information so as to have everybody on the same page, Rachel did mention offering something for us for the inconvenience. She did apologize. Once I receive the paperwork of who to contact and everything, I did not read the paper. I just put it in my pocket apologize to Rachel telling her it wasn't her fault and we left. Rachel never gave me all the people's information even after I requested it. I did let Rachel know. I am willing to go all the way to the CEO of Costco. My frustration is these people deal with situations day and a day out some easy somewhere or not. Our situation was not difficult. It was a common problem that was confused by two previous managers on the initial return. Then further complicated by the third manager who assisted hourly employee and blocking an account because nobody called us to verify if they owed us $120 or we owe them $120 but they just blocked the account. What I do find amazing and very interesting. Rachel gave up the hourly employee's first name. But never gave us any other names. So now onto corporate's email and call corporate. I did calm down from last night after talking to my wife and also because I have been a manager myself retail and fast food 14 years. I did observe that how the managers handled it was good however, once I looked at this paperwork that Rachel gave me and realized and ran through the scenario again, realized they never gave any information about the managers involved, only the hourly employee. The hourly employee got the override an assistance from a manager, which is the third manager of that situation. I said I do not want anything free from Rachel. She did offer just to be fair and open about this. But once I realize the names were not given, told me, Rachel and her conduct and professionalism was not what I thought it was upon departing and assessing after we spoke with her. What irks me the most about Costco, is that the food court entrance is never the same across the board. In Clovis, you're allowed to walk through the exit to go to the food court. Whereas this location, you will get braided and chased down. The team seemed as if I should have known better and gave me disgusting looks. Tire center s*cks. Nobody is ever at the counter. Ever. I dropped my car off to get the tires rotated. I had an appointment. I was wondering why it was taking so long because it had been an hour and a half already. I look in the parking lot and my car is sitting out there so I go in to try and find somebody. It had been sitting there ready for 45 minutes. Nobody called. And they didn't even reset my light. Done. read more

Went to get two tires installed. We had great service when we arrived, but after 1.5 hours, when we were told to return, there was no one in the lobby. There is a short hallway leading to the mechanic area with a single service window. I tried multiple times to get the attention of the installer, Jared, who continuously ignored me. It is hard to believe someone could not see a customer standing directly at the only window. To the right of the window was an open door that led outside, so I used it in an attempt to get Jared's attention. (Short guy, light-skinned.) We simply wanted to get our SUV and leave. Even after I repeatedly asked for help--while no one else was in the lobby--he continued to ignore me. This occurred on 1/2/2025, and I hope this is reviewed. After going through the open door to get outside, Jared finally came to the window, looked up at me, and told me I had to go back outside and walk all the way around the building because only employees are allowed to walk between the yellow lines designated for customers to view their vehicles. I told him he was being rude and that I had already walked in that way, so it made no sense to force a customer to walk around the entire building when he could have safely walked about 40 feet to assist my wife, who was waiting for me. He became visibly angrier, and when I saw his face turning red, I decided it was best to disengage. I walked around the building to my wife, who asked what happened. I explained the situation, while Jared was now ringing her up in a noticeably flirtatious manner. I told Jared I would remember his name and leave a review about the experience. He responded with, "Good luck." So here it is. I sincerely hope management reviews the cameras and witnesses the behavior of the short tire guy--Jared. read more

Costco never disappoints. I get my medication there, which is easy. I get text reminders when I need to reorder and another text when my pills are ready for pick up. It's nice to be able to get my medication and shop at the same place. read more

I am writing this review for Costco Optical. I had a issue with some prescription glasses and spoke with Teresa Borunda and she was willing to solve my issue to my satisfaction. I did not have to argue or plea my case. She solved it with little hesitation. I do like the variety of frames that Costco offers. I was told that their lenses are premium so I did have to pay a little more because my insurance only cover standard lenses. They do carry a wide range of name brand frames such Gucci, Prada, Tom Ford, Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Ray Bans, Nike and so forth. read more

Today was a busy day at Costco, and I wanted to place a order for a cheese pizza. I called the food court several times, no one answered. I called one final time but chose the option "administration". I spoke to a very kind and understanding manager named Anthony. He apologized for the inconvenience and took my pizza order down. He told me he would take it down to the food court himself. He also gave me an estimated wait time. Thank you Anthony!! This Costco never disappoints. We first tried to call to order pizza no one answered. When we bought the pizzas inside we weren't sure what line to wait in. There were 2 lines one line said whole pizza wait. They told us we had to go wait in the whole pizza line so we did. We waited 30-45 mins for 3 large pizzas but they we're giving out whole pizzas on the other line. The lady told us we have to wait in the other line so why are people ordering after me and getting there food before me. I went to the 4500 West Shaw Ave Costco in Fresno,CA to shop for new glasses today after my annual eye exam with my oculist. Teresa, the woman who helped me in the Optical Department, was wonderful. She helped me select frames and advised me on lens tints, and popular styles for prescription glasses and for sun glasses. She also checked on my VSP status and provided prices based upon VSP coverage allowances. I ordered a new pair of regular prescription glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses. I especially appreciated Teresa's polite comments about colors and styles of frames. After looking at many different frames, she used my comments about my preferences for size, shape and color to help me select five or six pairs that were most suitable, and then allowed me adequate time to view each pair, and make my selection of the two frames I liked best. It was 20-30 minutes well-spent; I am happy with my selections and would like to thank Teresa for her most professional assistance. This is the third time in the past five years that I have used Costco's Optical Services. I have been satisfied with everything Costco offers, except most frames are available in only one size, so matching style and fit can be challenging. Teresa certainly made this annual task easy and pleasant. I am very satisfied with Costco's optical services, and I think the West Shaw Costco store is most fortunate to have Teresa as an employee. I came in today to return an item I purchased online but changed my mind about. I never opened the box. The return clerk throughly checked the box contents to make sure everything was there and it was! Refund credited back to my purchasing debit card. I then went to purchase a few items that was on my list. Mainly fresh meats to vacuum seal away into my freezer. There were food sample stations and I was good at not being tempted by them except for the sweet lady that was representing Tillamook cheese. I could not say no to her! I was happy to see they carry a Bang Energy variety pack of 24 for $34 dollars. It comes out to about $1.47 per can versus $2.09 elsewhere. I also stocked up on some Keto snacks and a bad of Cadbury Easter Eggs. I heard another shopper comment to her family member "we better buy the Easter candy now because I bet in another week, it's going to be gone". Right now since it's currently the end of March, they are selling all the summer things you would like, Traeger grills, Igloo ice chests of various sizes and of course; fans. Like many trips to Costco, I ended up spending over $300. I try not to make a habit of shopping here because I will always go way over budget. But I do like picking up my staples in bulk. The only unpleasantry I had experienced today was that a woman with a baby strapped on her was going up and down the aisles asking for money. She then approached me for a second time in the parking lot forgetting she had already asked me inside. I imagine she was not a Costco member and just snuck in with another shopper to pretend she was a guest if the "shopper". I heard another woman report the woman to a staff member that was collecting carts but I guess there really isn't anything Costco can do about it. read more

2021 May 18: Four days ago, I tried Costco's Green Curry. I wasn't very impressed. The green curry noodles were disappointing. It had a sour taste and there just wasn't enough gravy to cover every strand of noodle. I felt cheated. Today, I tried the Yellow Mango Curry Noodles. It was slightly better - but still lacked oomph. I dissected the meal and found the noodles silky and soft. The potatoes and tofu were good - but there were only three tiny chunks of potatoes and 3 small pieces of tofu. The sauce had the perfect amount of heat - but I wish there was more. read more

It was only 2pm and the female restrooms were FILTHY. This is our first in California. Pieces of toilet paper all over the floor, fecal matter behind the toilet on the wall. To make matters worse, they did not have onions for my hot dog. The bun was dry, not moist like all other Costco's. Well worth it wait and gold! I Really appreciate being able to go to Costco and get the items that are used most frequently in bulk. And the store was nicely organized and was fully stocked with the warehouse items that are staples for many households. Toilet paper paper towels laundry detergent and fabric softener and two packs of pastry are always on my Costco list and I know I can find them at all the different locations. The only downside is that the gasoline line is always long but they have a long line so it goes pretty fast. Their quality was quality of gasoline is very good for upscale cars as well This is the one place I can go that I know I will get shoes socks underwear clothes food flowers all in the same place. I also enjoy getting vitamins and supplements from Costco as well. It is ideal for families with young children because you can buy wipes and diapers in bulk there for a good price. Costco is one of the guilty pleasures of many moms for the right reasons they also have mini electronics in their return policy is very good. Most of their electronics come with a warranty and service for any repairs that need to be done. They also have an app that you can have your card electronically programmed into and use to enter the store with. read more

I was due for some new glasses, and decided to try Costco this time. I walked in I was greeted right away by a glasses technician, she gave me the scoop on pulling the frames once you touch them you put them in a container so they can clean them in between people trying on the frames. They made it super easy for me to purchase my new glasses, I actually bought two pair one regular pair of glasses and then a second pair of sunglasses. My prescription is pretty strong and I was pleasantly surprised when I was given the price of my two pair of glasses. They came in faster than the technician said they would. When I went in to pick up the glasses they were pretty busy but everyone working the counter make sure to make eye contact as everyone came up and pulled a number. They were all very polite thanked us for going to the Eye Center and let us know that they will be with us as soon as possible. It was a very pleasant experience and I would get my next set of glasses from them read more

They need more help at the tire department. There was a customer who was complaining about the tire weights coming off. Decided to try the New Strawberry soft serve ice cream from foodcourt today and it did not disappoint! It was very good. Even put it in freezer for about 3 hours until I was able to sit and enjoy it. The consistency did not change. It did not harden and it has that smooth, airy feel. The flavor was very good, I would say the flavor is very similar to Dennys strawberry milkshake. Good for bulk discounts and decent prices. Not so much for parking. My newest grip is change of the muffins. They are smaller than old ones but you now get 8 & old style ones were 6 in a pak. Years of declining customer service. Do not expect much anymore. But I do expect some sort of respect when speaking with customers. My wife comes home every time from Costco with complaints. This time was too much. Cesar in member service was rude and not helpful. My wife blocked me from getting in my car and going over there and doing something stupid. Please retrain people to treat people how you want to be treated. Do not through a card back at people. Do not say "I don't know" three times and not say "let me find out". Every single time I see the female worker with short black hair, typically in a button-up or t-shirt she is extremely rude to me. She is Today I had a return, she saw I had the receipt and item in hand. I wanted to do an exchange (unknowingly you have to do a full return). She was too busy chatting about personal matters with her coworkers she said "EHHHH- other way!" I politely said "oh I wanted to buy something else-" she cut me off and said "Doesn't matter other way." So I walk through the exit, shop and try to exchange. Then I found out I have to go back to the check-out line because an exchange is not possible. I would have known this had the worker at the door said "I'm sorry/ or Excuse me you're going to have to process that as a full refund- we don't do store credit or exchanges" but it was apparent I interrupted her conversation. In the past with this worker I used my mothers Costco card at 16 years old to enter and purchase SOLELY milk. My mom was in the car with a screaming sick baby and sent me in quickly. This same worker was at the door and literally SNATCHER the Costco card out of my hand. She has no respect or compassion for others, at least every-time I have interacted with her. Never seen her smile or be friendly. It irks me that ruins my Costco experiences every time she speaks to me and it's inevitable to avoid this lady when she works the door. read more

Maybe today was not a good day? I will sit now that I calmed down a bit to say that Costco on Shaw and 99 has been a great service to the community with extensive offerings. It is unfortunate that they continue to raise their membership fees and prices due to who knows? Today I went to use the self check out, thinking I was going to get out quickly,but instead I ended up wait on the clerk who was not very observant of the light flashing or machine saying someone will be with you . Costco these machines do not belong in this store! It is too noisy and very distracting for whomever has to monitor these registers. Put your staff back to work and do away with these inconvenient labor saving tactics that don't work. This is why we pay more now? I feel the clerk that ignored me today and passed by me while I waited patiently for service and my light kept blinking. My son even went to use the restroom and came back and there I was still waiting while your store manager Nicco just blew me off and went to talk with his buddy until he finally noticed I was standing there and asked, do you need help? No apologies or sympathy for keeping us waiting. What a joke! Then he went on saying you didn't say anything. If I ever come back, mind you if. Costco is going to here me all the way to the fairgrounds because I am going to yell incredibly loud for your incompetence. So that being said. Don't fire your new manager Nicco. Or if that is his name? He was not even wearing a name badge. He only told me his name after I left with my back turned to him. That too was not very professional as was his rude attitude. It's Costco what can I say? I love their return policy and the variety of items they offer. Their orange chicken is my fav. The milk is super cheap and has always lasted me past the due date. Every time I come here I end up spending well over $100. Watch out for carts or they may run you over. The parking lot is another problem. Crazy drivers fighting for the closest parking spot. I prefer this Costco location to the one near River Park and the one in Clovis. Never really had any problems here. Staff is always friendly and it's not that bad to get in and out even when it's busy. Parking lot can get congested at times, but that's expected. They don't carry as much stuff as the one on Abby, but that's generally not a problem. I do go to that one as well from time to time. There have been times though when I needed to go there because this location stopped carrying certain items for some reason. You can always inquire about items at customer service and they can look it up for you. I have used their photo center many times. Back in the day for film and in the past 7 years for digital prints. They're reasonable and do a good job. Great deal if you're getting large poster sized prints. I've printed many 16x20 photos here for projects and events and they always looks great. They do roll it up and slip it into a plastic sleeve, so if you need it to lay flat, just unroll it as soon as you can to help flatten it out. For your convenience you can actually upload and submit your photos online and select which store location you'd like to pick it up at. A lot of the photo jobs can be done in a few hours or less as long as they don't have a lot of orders ahead of you. When you place your order online it'll give you a list of pickup times to choose from. They also refill ink cartridges too which is cost effective. They've recently rearranged the tables in the food court to try and maximize space. They don't have them connected in long rows like communal tables like the one at Abby, but definitely an improvement! read more
