Do not order on costco.com. It is delivered by Instacart and you are not guaranteed your items. I waited a whole day to have my items delivered only to find out at the end of the day that they could not be delivered because the Instacart shopper did not have enough funds in his credit card, and then they wanted me to wait 7 to 10 days to get a refund on my money although it wasn't my fault that the things could not be delivered and had to be canceled I called Costco several times for about 2 hours They did not answer I had to wait until the following day and when I did speak to a manager, they refused to do anything about it they said they couldn't help, That is totally unacceptable.!!!! read more

Review for cashier Justin C. Most condescending and rude customer service. No basics of a Hi, bye, thank you, rather, in his mocking and sarcastic tone, he insisted I pay $6 for a plastic bag. He was pissed off that the plastic bag I had in my cart didn't have any bread in it so he scanned the barcode on the bag and insisted I pay the $6 (cost of the bread). When I declined to pay and said I didnt need the bag, he threw it aside like it was trash. This guy was likely had a bad day, i get that, but taking it out on a customer, his demeanor was inappropriate and humiliating. I was patiently lining up in line when one of the employees checked my Costco card, which I showed as a usual routine. When I arrived to the front of the line and noticed that there was just one self-checkout register open, I went up. And then, before I could scan my purchase, the male worker accused me of cutting in line and told me to line up at the back of the line. I tried to tell him that I did, but he kept on cutting me off and was adamant that I was cutting. Fortunately, the person behind me in line, who was also a customer, supported me and said no, she was in front of me, which made the male worker to back down and say, "okay." Okay what, so no apologies for embarrassing me in front of everyone. I understand that it is packed and busy, but this is not how employees should treat their customers. Today was so bad day. We came here to ask some questions about membership because my mom's account was duplicated in 2 membership. The tall lady with glasses named "Cindy" was so rude and unkind. She cut the all of my words when i try to ask some questions and she is saying "listen! Stop over talking to me, let me finish my word!". Just based on the service today. Normally things go well, but today I drove far to get here and I didn't realize it was Sunday and they close early. Plus the only Costco that was showing up was the gasoline area, which doesn't close until an hour and a half later. So I talk with the security guard at the door and tell him I literally only need one thing. All I needed was the protein powder all the way towards the front. He said no, come back tomorrow. I said that's not happening, I drove too far. There was still a giant crowd coming out. It would've made no difference at all. I'm literally going out of my way to go somewhere else for the $60+ powder out of spite. I'm seriously pissed. I was in the area and happen to drop in and see on a Sunday at 10:30am in mid February. This is older Costco exterior. The parking lot is crazy too. The aisles are short and easily can hit another cart. Certain aisles had more people soda or rugs, etc. There was lots of samples to try, ton of sofas, Xmas toys, coolers, rams sweatshirts, etc.The cashier lines to pay was long and self checkout line was shorter. Okay ... who doesn't really like Costco? They practice a business model that many other big-box retailers strive for. Costco has a strong customer base and many loyal customers overall. The savings at Costco is in bulk buying. Their buyers are also very strategic in product selection and provide a very good breadth of products. Selection is limited, but the products are well-considered. Costco's return policy is actually very good. They are one of the few retailers that have customer satisfaction at the top of their priority list. Computers and electronics have a 90-day return policy which is best in the industry. Their food court is also a wonderful perk for all customers including non-members. They lose money on most everything the food court sells and their management only sees this as a customer benefit that they don't want to change. The membership fees are well worth it if you shop at Costco just more than a couple of times a month. Of course, you still need to be diligent on what you are buying, but overall the savings you can find for your everyday grocery here are easy to calculate. This location isn't too bad with it's crowds. The parking lot is rather big even with the other businesses that it serves. There is also Costco Gas that is nicely laid out. Major holidays may propose some challenges though. This place isn't that great compared to the majority of the costcos I've been to. They only have a napkin dispenser in the food court. They don't have a utensil dispenser. You have to ask for it from the register. They did have a generous offering of free samples throughout the store. I would come here again for the free samples but not the food court. read more

Went to self checkout & the guy asked to see my membership card. He didn't ask anyone else, but he asked ME. No problem, I'm a member & I'm not hiding anything. The only problem was that my hands were full of heavy boxes and my card was in my wallet that was hanging on my wrist. I STRUGGLED to reach my wallet, unzip it, and get my card all while not being able to see what I'm doing and trying to not drop the items. The guy stood there watching me struggle and it took a bit of time for me to actually succeed in getting my card out. In my opinion the polite thing to do would of been for him to offer to hold a box or two so I could access my card and show him. Instead he stood there watching me struggle. One of the easier-to-maneuver Costcos but still not that easy. The parking lot can get very packed so I usually just park a bit aways next to the other buildings in the same lot. Bit if a walk but it's worth it not having to wait for a spot and not have to slowly work your way out of the spot when you are done shopping. The cashiers are super fast so even when there are long lines they tend to move fast. I have also been impressed with the amount of sample stations they have. And usually the samples are in good supply. Like all Costcos you have to wait for the popular food items but I can usually snag at least a couple different samples each time I come. The Costco itself is a good size and they seem to carry what most other Costcos have and then some! The food court is nice because it is outdoors so you don't have to awkwardly enter and wrap around just to buy some food. Overall, this is a popular but great Costco location. It was a bit confusing for the cashier but I know they are just trying to do their job and I appreciate you coming in and letting them know everything was okay. I also got a new card at membership services after that and it took less than 5 minutes. Costco is very busy as it is, but there seems to be a heavy rush on a Saturday between 12:30-3:00pm. He thinks because he has blue eyes he is a pretty boy but that doesn't give him the right to treat women like they are objects and misuse his power. Costco is great. This location? Not so much. They need about 200 more parking spaces, and three times the land for their gas so they don't keep causing traffic on Harbor. It's a little thing, but they also are one of the few locations nearby that don't offer cart wipes when you enter. Probably the worst Costco in all of OC. Went there today to see if there's anything interesting beyond the routine staples at my local Costco; what a mistake! The entire experience was ruined by their complete mismanagement of egg sales. Besides the normally abysmal parking situation due their location, once you're 200 feet from the entrance you'll see a long line forming. However, you won't know what the long line is for until you're 10 feet from the door where they decide to put "Egg Line" signs.. don't bother putting any signs out where the line forms so people don't waste their time in the wrong line, right? Once you're inside it gets WORSE; literally ALL the food aisles are blocked at the ends to allow all the egg mongers get their daily 3-carton limit. You CANNOT get to many food and drink items unless you're in the designated "egg line". Interestingly, none of the other Costco's I routinely visit, including YL, FV, Tustin II, and HB have this terribly mismanaged egg shitshow. If people want their damn eggs so bad in this area, Fullerton Costco should just sell them outside in the parking lot from the back of a refrigerated truck and do everyone else a favor. Finally, the cashier I had today must have been a new-hire from Sam's Club or taken a lot of Benadryl, or both, because even my grandma could scan items faster. read more
