This has to be the nicest Daiso in Buena Park. I don't think I ever stopped at this location how is that possible when it's next to Hmart? LOL I have no idea but I'm so happy I stopped in today, baby girl and I just wanted to browse around and look, but they have so much here so much more than the one I usually go to. The parking lot is kinda insane and it's a little hard to find parking, but I did find a spot which was nice. There's so much to look at. Love the stationary area and all the cute little nicknacks and home stuff and cute little random things you can find. I was actually in shock at how much more they have than the one I go to. I could've looked all day, but I didn't want to go crazy LOL I definitely wanna come back to this location. I'm so happy I found book ends for my books. They kept falling on my nightstand and I'm trying to keep them up with things around the house, but it wasn't working haha. Thinking maybe I can find them here and I did and I'm so happy with them they work perfectly. I also got baby girl a pencil case for her school pencils. The parking is horrific in this plaza, I just want to put that out there. It's literally like PvP zone status where drivers are mad rushing to get parking ASAP and not minding any of their surroundings, but I digress. The Daiso itself is slightly bigger than some of the ones I've been to in the 626. The stock of items that I'm interested in was not much, saying this as a cute character enjoyer and someone who is trying to find oshikatsu items. They did have the plush doll stands that I snagged and I liked that they had a $1 sale section of the old San-x stationery and goods that they're trying to clear out. Unfortunately, they didn't have much in terms of trading card/photo card carrying cases or the hard top loaders (what I was trying to find there). Snacks looked well stocked but they didn't have the ramune/orange/grape 2 for 1 deal that they usually have at the other Daisos. I wish the Central Valley, where I currently reside, had one of these Japanese dollar discount stores. It is hard to believe people will spend twice as much at Asian markets, and as much as five times more on Amazon, for the same quality ceramic tea cups and pots, wooden utensils, and ceramic dolls and piggy banks. Really the only things worth spending my money on here, besides the aforementioned Japanese ceramics, are the good variety of Japanese candies, crackers, chips, and sodas at discounted prices. You can always find cute, cheap, useful stuffs for the kitchen, home garden, classes, and some snacks. Today I didn't buy any but I'd used to buy the laundry mesh bags, mini plastic containers, some stickers, special batteries, porcelain bowls, and chopsticks. Price: the previous price was $1.25 but now $1.50 to $1.75 depends on the products. 4 stars Service: not accepted the return, no exchange, final sale. That is why you have to choose the products well. 1 star Product: kitchen, bathroom, home deco, stationary, hair accessories, even some snacks. This review is for an old Japanese lady, her name was Kiyoko or whatever her name was, one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I've ever seen. My 2-year-old noticed a set of pens on the shelf that had already been taken out of the package (we did NOT open it). She wanted to put the pens back into the package, so we told her to go ahead and do so. Suddenly, an older Japanese employee came out of nowhere, snatched the pens out of my toddler's hands, got very close to her face, and yelled, "Don't open it!!" Naturally, my toddler started crying. I, of course, yelled back at the employee not to yell at my child. The employee then asked if we had opened the package, and we explained that we hadn't--it was already like that when we found it. My kid is still emotionally distressed. 1. Don't touch people especially when the person is under 5. 2. Talk to the parent. 3. Don't get your face close my toddler. 4. My girlfriend loves this place. I often sometimes stop here and get her some clothes when and if I am in the area sometime. Sometimes its just good to come here, rather than the mall. It's right near Buena Park Mall. It's like a small swag shop for women. Not much stuff here for us guys to shop for guys. It's a cool little gem here in the city. Found another Daiso in California in the Buena Park Hmart plaza which had a lot of other Korean/Asian tenants as well. My mom wanted to stop by here so she can get some kitchen supplies and such -- it was your usual Daiso. I feel like most Daisos are the same when it comes to what's there. The only thing different is usually the size and this one was fairly big. Not the biggest one I've been to but it still had everything you need and it wasn't too crowded either. My mom was able to get a few kitchen goods -- all for less than $10 so that was a steal. From my experience, most of the stuff here that I've purchased is fairly good quality considering its price point so if you ever need any discounted goods at a cheap cheap price, Daiso is the place for you. read more

This is one of the larger Daiso locations I've been in and it's well stocked, clean, and easy to maneuver. It's located in the same plaza as the H Mart in Buena Park and Kang Baekjeong. If you go in the morning or early afternoon and park over by H Mart and Daiso, you can usually find a spot. Staff are friendly here and they leave you to shop on your own, unless you have questions or need help finding something. The aisles are wide and easy for many people to shop in, without it feeling claustrophobic. This location had lots of stock in the cleaning items, which I was looking for after seeing a post about BT21 exclusive items being offered here. I picked up a bag sized hand sanitizer from the line for a little over $2. I recommend bringing your own bags as they didn't offer me one. (I believe you have to buy a bag if you have a lot of items or bring your own.) read more

Almost everything at Daiso is $1.50 -- unless marked. The quality is better than Dollar Tree/ 99 Cent type stores, but be careful on sizes as they're Japanese sized items. For example, paper here is A4 size paper, not American size. Not all Daisos are alike. This location is smaller than most, so if you are looking for something in particular, you may need to visit another location. Parking is ok, depends on when you visit. The store shares the strip mall with a dozen other popular places including a Korean market. Visit mid week is easier. No refunds so purchase carefully. read more

So happy to be here since we not not have a Daiso in the Fresno/Clovis area where I live. This is only the second Daiso store I have been to and as soon as I walked in I knew I would spending some money. As I usually do when I enter a store, I grabbed a basket and headed to the right hand side of the store. On the wall hung tons of paper bags of all shapes and sizes, made of so many different materials and of course, all $1.50. It took me a while to finally finish in this area because I looked at everything at least once. From this area I turned around and began perusing the notecard and envelope section. So many choices and so much I put into my basket. From this area I moved onto the ceramic plates and bowls. I was a little surprised that there weren't more ceramic cups. Every aisle was a treasure to find and I was just so happy to fill my basket with all the fun items I see people buying when I watch Daiso hauls on YouTube! I picked up some things to create a personal basket for my sister and a few things for my granddaughters too. The only aisle I didn't really spend a lot of time in was the snack aisle. It was tempting because there are so many choices, but I refrained. The store is clean and organized, nothing out of place or on the floor. There wasn't a line to check out, we just walked right up. The ceramic bowls I purchased were wrapped and taped so they wouldn't break before I got them home. All my items were placed in paper bags which I believe I paid for. No problem. Daiso is my favorite store to pick up nick-nacks. This store is the Japanese version of Dollar Tree. Most items are priced at $1.50. There are certain things that are tagged a few dollars more. But, everything is dirt cheap and costs under $5. They are located in the same plaza as H Mart and 85 degrees. Due to COVID, they currently limit the amount of customers inside. The line seems long but it does move fairly quickly. The workers sanitize the shopping baskets after each use. They do require face coverings upon entering the store. I scored a basket full of snacks, candy, and some party essentials. The snack aisle is so tempting as it is situated along the cashier line. Daiso is the store where you find everything that you never knew existed. It seems like every time I come here I always end up purchasing items that I did not come for / knew that they were made. If you have a strong snack game, then load up here. Plenty of items that you will not find at your local grocer or gas station candy isle. I like to pick up some Pocky sticks, Ramune and those gummy fruit squares that are covered in sugar. Bad for my teeth, but taste sooo good! Customer service is definitely hit or miss around here, but I usually do not take too long to fill up my cart and check out. I believe that it is cash only for purchases under a certain amount, but I always carry cash around. You could think of Daiso as $0.99 store, but much more upscale and better quality than $0.99 store. They have everything from shampoo to dog leashes to cat toys to candies to toothbrushes to shoppimg bag, umbrellas, and holiday accessories. They are located near Beach Blvd and La Mirada Blvd, and has plenty of parking during the NON weekend days. If you take $20 to Daiso, im confident you will walk out spending all that money and bringing home all and everything you need in a full bag. Daiso is essentially the Japanese version (with higher prices) of a 99 Cent Only Store. It features useful/interesting/unique/wacky Japanese products starting at $1.00. Everything here is $1.50 unless marked otherwise. During today's visit the most expensive item I found was an earthenware pot for $14. You can find so many neat things here - the place is jam packed with stuff. Takes a bit to walk through it all, but it's fun to see what they have. Plus, they play interesting music- usually Jpop or Kpop. Today we noticed they were playing a Japanese version of Miley Cyrus' "We Won't Stop". Note: they do not accept returns or exchanges, so buyer beware! I once bought several packages of to-go type containers for food. The staff here is horrible. They're never friendly and they put back broken items on the shelves so there were times I bought broken and unusable items. One time the manager there yelled at me and accused me of "property damage" when I moved over the counter top that was already broken off because my cash change fell into the crack I wanted to try to retrieve it. I originally went to this shopping center for some dessert on the other side of the parking lit, and I asked my friend if we could pass by the Daiso after dessert. Glad we did! I've purchased bathroom supplies to fun niknaks for the office. I've found some great items to get me more organized as well! I find so many great things, that I have to look at everything I pick up a second time and ask myself, do I really NEED that? It helps, cause I usually walk out with half or less than what I've picked up. Whew! The prices are always reasonable. Daiso is a discount store that sells Japanese household products for $1.50. Think of it like an Asian 99 cent store that sells useful items for a bargain. You can find an array of things ranging from school supplies, gardening tools, cookware, candy, wrapping paper, and so much more! I like this Daiso location because they have a lot more items than other places. It's BIG and SPACIOUS and I don't have to rub shoulders with other customers because their aisles are wide enough. The only issue with this location is the parking. It's in a plaza on the corner of a very busy Beach & Malvern intersection which also has a 85 bakery, Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong KBBQ restaurant, and H-Mart and parking can get tough, especially on weekends. If you've never been to Daiso before, check it out! You'll spend a good 30 minutes just browsing around and convincing yourself to buy items you never even knew you needed. read more

Every week Mrs. inevitably says "Let us go to Daiso. I need to buy something for Ian." We promptly proceed to do one or a combination of the following: Go to Daiso. Buy some goodies from 85 Degree Bakery. Shop groceries at H-Mart. The whole Village at Buena Park has made Buena Park cooler. Stores like Daiso make it an eventful place to be. Everything is handy to purchase and stock. They have a wide variety of items to choose from at $1.50 each. Few items we have purchased from here are: Shot glasses Tongs Lunch bag for Ian Some mesh looking thing that prevents spices from splattering out on to the stove. *Laughs* Condiment containers, etc. There are a lot of items here that make you go "I wonder what this might be used for?". Just buy it and move on to the next cute item. haha read more
