The cashier--her name is R.jyden#3-was very mean and had very bad services. She is so rude the to customers. I think if this place continues to keep her, they will just lose customers everyday. My family has more than ten people that have go to this place every week and they all complain this mean girl and bad service. I don't know why this place still keeps r.jyden. Did verify with one of the managers and they did say if we don't have a face mask they're going to refuse you coming into the store and possibly a fine. Yesterday, I was shopping and I never had a problem with any employee. Always helpful when I need to find something. I'm at the register & this old lady who works there (she wore a white sweater, and light blonde hair ) was putting my things in the cart. She notice my beyond meat and said "what is this." I have been a member for more than 5 yrs. I initially used my card basically To buy gas and diapers, but eventually I started investing in other stuff. Less than 2 years ago I bought a brand new Lenovo laptop. The seller at costo told me that I was making a great purchase because Costo gives you an additional 1 yr manufactures warranty for a total of 2 yrs of warranty. I thought Costco was serious with their members. Around a week ago, my laptop unexpectedly cracked in half while closing it. The hinges of the screen broke and for some reason it cracked the screen. I'm extremely careful with my electronics. When I checked, the hinges literally detached the whole mechanism from the frame. Checking in Lenovo's website, it seems that is a very common thing in this laptop series. Since I was confident about the 2 yrs warranty I went to my nearest Costco warehouse and brought everything with me (receipt, original box, charger etc). When they saw me they thought I was trying to return the laptop and they started laughing. They gave me a panflet of a 1-800 number to call for warranty, and guess what? FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! THEY DONT COVER ANYTHING!!!! Unless you pay the extended Costco warranty, an even with that they look for the loop to not pay you!! 800 bucks literally thrown in the toilet! Worst people working here. Victor the Latino shift supervisor literally speed-walked from the cashier's post that I was in line to pay for my laptop, and took the "CLOSED" placard and placed it right on a customer's shopping cart's push bar that was immediately in front of me and looked right in my face and smirked and said, "This LINE is CLOSED" even though I was already in line for a few minutes. He speed-walked away and turned around looking at me as if I didn't understand what he said, and kept walking away. He must be overwhelmed with all the people in the store or he was on drugs and couldn't control his high. Thankfully the older Asian lady in front of me who Victor put the "CLOSED" placards on her cart offered me to go in front of her. And also thankfully the cashier was nice enough to tell me who Victor was and his name. This was not the only reason for the one star, there's more... The old, tall, white haired, caucasian guy helping at the computer section who I asked a simple question, "Can I pay at the photo section because the lines werr so long at the checkout lines?" He looked down at me with a military Sargent voice, grim-faced, and said, "No, you must go to the checkout lines!" He then walked away. Even though I was purchasing a laptop with the laptop placard holding it in my hand in plain sight, no help there. Perhaps a customer sensitivity training is in order fro both gentlemen? I love Costco. As I sit here with insomnia and read the reviews, the negative ones seem like the review writers are mental. The only frustrations that I face at this store are the idiotic customers. I work in customer service for a large corporation and usually people that have a bad experience we're miserable before they left their house. The lines at the gas pumps are out of control because the customers block the entrance trying to get to the closest pump. If people would be more considerate and pull all the way to the last pump then others wouldn't be stuck in the the street before the driveway. People should learn to merge with others into the opening entrance to gas pumps. It's a shame that it takes an employee to tell people how to drive. To be honest, I love this place for the GASOLINE! One of the best gas stations of all the CostCo's I've been to in CA. I normally go to the City of Industry, but when I'm in this area, I definitely will make the effort to get my gas here. Surprisingly, when I went today, the premium gas was much lower than the last time I went to CostCo in Industry. I'm hoping that the prices have gone down, and that the location is the factor here! In Industry, I paid $3.15/gallon, and here I paid $3.01/gallon! 14 cents is a big difference! Well, this gas station usually isn't as busy when I go. I'm guessing when I go, I go at the best times. Today, I passed by around 2PM. So, after the lunch rush and before the after work rush. So A+ for the gas station! Maybe next time I'll go into the warehouse. read more

This costco on central is always pretty crowded, but it is well stocked, clean and has friendly workers. I usually come here with my parents, but I came with my friend who has a membership and was surprised to get away with paying with my credit card instead of them checking to see if the costco membership matched the credit card. (you usually need an American Express credit card under the same name of the Costco membership holder). If you get food at the outside food counter, you must pay with cash or check. This location also doesn't have gelato yet. :( read more

46. If you're here on a weekday, this place isn't that bad. On the weekends, it really depends on when you're here. This past Sunday, I was able to catch an open register with one customer. That's relatively unheard of for a Costco. Unfortunately, this Costco doesn't have some of the products that other locations carry. Where are the Nature Valley Dark Chocolate Graham Crackers? And some of the dried fruit packages aren't available here. But that's not a big deal for me. I've noticed that a lot of the samples they give out are simply placed on the tray. What happened to the sample cups? I know we're trying to save the environment, but doing so at the cost of sanitation doesn't seem right. Nevertheless, this is Costco. Bulk items at low prices. Pretty good deal everyday and had a good experience once inside the store. Parking lot is a total nightmare especially on weekends, like on our way backing out of the stall, we saw two drivers waiting and another one behind the one that was blocking our way out, so my Sister asked her to move back and wouldn't and gave us a hard time (cussed and yelled at us). We barely made it without hitting the other car and went right of there fast. I've been to many Costco's but have never had an experience like today. I'm in an interracial relationship and my girlfriend was asked several times whether she had a costco card (I'm the cardholder, and we've never had any issues with that). There were three different occasions where she was asked this question, which usually only happens at the register when I'm alone. Although I always try to refrain from using the race card, there was no other explanation in this specific trip. And as a executive member I never expected this kind of treatment from a chain which I pay so much to be a member of. Definitely contemplating getting rid of my membership, and switching over to Sam's Club. I would specifically note that the cashier Shirley T made this trip very unsatisfactory. When we went to check out I showed my card as usual and proceeded to checkout but all the items being bought were for my girlfriend so she graciously told me she wanted to pay. Then the cashier said she couldn't pay because she wasn't the cardholder, which has never happened to me before even though she's paid MANY times. Whether this is a company policy or not, we felt extremely racially profiled in this instance. Honestly just go to a different Costco if you can. read more

Bias! Unfair treatment towards me as a Costco member. Poor, poor, customer service toward me on 10/3/2019. Treated me like a minority. I visited Costco on today at 4:20 pm and I handed my Costco card to the cashier, and as he proceeded to ring my items he literally tossed my card away as if it wasn't of any use. Just like that! No explanation of why the card was tossed to the side. A split second later Robert approached me to inform me that I had two cards linked to the same account and my account was flagged. I felt embarrassed and humiliated as if I was a criminal! Of course Robert offered many apologies on behalf of the rude customer service I received, but Robert was more concern that I upgrade to "executive" membership. I wasn't given the cashiers name nor was there any upper manager present to take my statement for the rude humiliation I endured today! Instead attached is the receipt with the name of the cashier Mike L I'm assuming. I will not stop here with my complaint until the cashier receive some type of disciplinary action! I should've never upgraded my Costco membership to executive, instead I plan on suspending my account altogether. I heard Costco has actually excluded When some college students with Costco memberships who tried to use the same day grocery delivery services Costco.com. These college students have very limited time because of their college studies and still trying to raise a family. I was told that they could not place an order online, to save precious time, though they are Costco members..... You see a Number of these college students are very happy and fortunate they have Cal-works, I had the privilege of seeing a number of them graduate. However they cannot use same-day delivery service during this crucial college studying time because as part of Cal Works many receive EBT or snap. Costco takes these forms of payment in-house. However they EXCLUDE this very important group of young professionals who are struggling to find family/study balance, by not allowing this form of payment on costco.com online. I find that this is discriminatory and excludes this important group of individuals that are sacrificing precious family time to study; this simple service of getting groceries delivered to their door can contribute to that balance of life and study and their success in our communities. I too tried calling and spent hours on the phone, as to why this simple form of payment is not added to the costco.com online, I was told Corporate blamed Instacart, but Instacart states it is Solely Costco decision...I hope Costco corporate offices will read this because this action is very unbecoming and discriminatory, to their own members. Went to Costco at 9:30 to wait in line before opening. Clearly some people do not have the common courtesy to see a line and go to it, and then just wait at the front and create their own line. So as opening gets closer, you see the long line of people waiting patiently and those people who can give a damn and just wait at the front. It was a mess and those waiting in line were upset. We waited in line to get our receipt checked like everyone else. Then finally got to the front and the Woman receipt checker with the marker decided to have a conversation with this old lady outside as I stood there waiting a little too long so I started to walk away . She started yelling at us I need to check your receipt I need to check your receipt. We did not have a basket and we had one item in our hand, and in our other hand we had a receipt. Kept walking as just like all of us i had things to do. Then some other employee came running out she needs to check your receipt she need to check your receipt as I was already halfway to my car. I really like Costco and I shop there for the return policy. That's why I purchased a sectional sofa on Feb 22, 2019, and wanted to return it because it just was not very comfortable for me. My son was going to make arrangements to return it but could not because I had the Costco credit card and I was out of the country. So upon my return, my son called Montclair Costco to find out if I can still return the sofa. He was informed I could return the sofa even though I bought it 6 months ago and even if was over a year. Upon my return, I made arrangements and rented a U-haul and my son and his friend helped me return the sofa today. I was never more insulted today by Debbie (?) and Eric at the Montclair Costco. I believe Debbie was an upper manager and Eric must be a lead person. First of all, my son parked the U-haul in front of the store so we can unload the truck. There were several other people parked in the same area as us. Eric approached us and informed us that we had to move the car because it was a no-parking area. Then he informed us that if the police come by they will ticket us and also we were blocking the area in case of emergency BUT he will allow us to stay and unload the truck just this time. He walked away but he never approached the other two cars that were parked in the same spot informed them the same thing. He informed us we should park near the gas station and Costco personnel will come out there to help us unload the truck. I know that's not true because whenever I needed assistance, they have alway asked me to bring the car to the front of the store. What he informed us was NOT true. They asked me why I wanted to return the sofa and I told them it was not working out. They asked me if there was anything wrong and I said no because there was no damage. Eric informed me that he needed to get approval from the upper manager. Then brought Debbie. She wanted to know why I wanted to return it and I stated it was not working out. She then proceeded to lecture me that I could not return just because it was not working out after having it for six months or it was not working out because I move to a new house and so on and Costco sell quality furniture but she will allow me to return it just this time. In addition, in future, I needed to return it right away. That's not sure, I have read reviews about how Costco member was able to return items even after a year. I informed her that I did not move and I have been out of the country for three months and did not have a chance to return the sofa until now. I then commented to myself, I wonder how much I spent at Costco. Then Eric proceeds to inform me that Costco members are treated equally whether they spend $500.00 or $300.000.00. I informed him that I was not expecting "special treatment" but what I was upset because what I was informed on the phone when I called about the return policy. Eric then asked me if there was any damage to the sofa and once AGAIN informed him no. The reason I wanted to know how much I spent at Costco was to make a point that I don't return item very often. I shop mostly at Costco because of the quality and return policy even if I can find the same item cheaper at another store.
