I went to buy with my moms member card and was told i could not use it because their agreement , which is ok to me(not really). The cashier told me "if you buy a membership you can buy here" I told her I only had my ID and she said it was ok, when i went to service to get the card i was told i couldn't get one because i didn't have an ID with an address on. The lady (manager I didn't asked who she was or asked for her, but she said she was ) angrily told me I should return everything I bought, after spent 2 hours there for nothing. While all do all my shopping from Costco and I like the company, some of the staff are extremely rude. I applied for a PTA fundraising and the marketing manager responded quickly and very friendly on the phone. When I went to see him he had left as I reached later but an extremely rude, obnoxious women tried to talk to me and mentioned that "we are giving you money and you are not grateful, you are very rude to mention your organization would appreciate more contribution' I was very hurt and really angry. I mentioned politely that I am not asking or begging for myself. I am just representing PTA where I am volunteering. She was still very angry and impolite and it seemed that as if he is donating this money out her pocket. they need to be trained to be better and more respectful to people. read more

It's convenient to have a Costco closer then Springfield. I have two complaints -- the layout of this store is smaller and not as nice as the one in Springfield. Things just don't seem to flow as well as here. Also, I have issue with the inability of using my bankcard as credit at their gas pumps. So just around the other side of the mall is Sam's Club which I use for gas with no problem using my card. read more

Thank God for the Costco Tire crew at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, VA!!! My husband is in the hospital in intermediate care (one below Intensive care) and I have been having issues with the tire pressure of one of the tires of the only car we posses. I took the time to take my car to Sam's Club on Worth avenue before 08:30 AM and was told it would be about an hour and a half for the car to be ready. I checked back at about the time when it should have been ready only to be told that it was not even in the shop yet and that it would be at least another two hours because there were only two mechanics. I will say that although the team was not rude they were not enthusiastic about helping at all, I would even say they had a bit of an attitude. I asked for my keys back and proceeded to Costco where the told me it would take about an hour and a half. I explained that it seemed to be a slow leak and asked if I would be able to just get air to buy me some time (I had explained the same ar Sam's Club). I was so impressed with how helpful the young lady mechanic at the register was, suggesting that I drive the car close and they would gladly check my tire pressure and give me air. A young man was kind enough to help me insisting to check all four tires and gave me peace of mind at a time when I am so stressed, explaining that the problem was not the tire but the sensor, which I can leave for another day. He wouldn't even take a tip from me despite my repeated insistence! I am so grateful! read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I was at Costco on 06/10/17 trying to return some items for the very first time. I grabbed a few things paid for them and headed to the return them. When I get to customer service the older African American women (I didn't catch her name) stares at my items and says "ohh you were in the store before coming here? DONT YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN" attitude all included.Okay. Mind you it was my first time doing so and not 1 single person said anything before than, they saw me when I walked in with it while I grabbed my stuff and when I paid I asked can I return here or customer service and nobody had told me anything. She then says "I can't return this" with no explanation, like is this a no return item? Is there something wrong with it? Or you don't do returns? When I asked her why she's giving me a death look and she's just staring at me. She points at the other line & makes me wait in another line for customer service at that point I'm completely in shock of how rude she was to me from the start. As I wait in line she is starring me down talking to her colleagues and shaking her head. I returned my items the young lady who helped me out had a little attitude but wasn't rude. I had a receipt there shouldn't have been any problems. I have been going to this Costco since this location was opened, this customer service is the FIRST Issue I have ever had. Don't count on the COSTCO tire warranty, they won't honor it if there's any damage to the wheel/rim from the road hazard. The warranty is very limited, get your tires from a place that gives you a full road-hazard warranty. read more

The best shopping hours are on the weekends before noon. It seems like most of the people are shopping at the mall and hit Costco afterward. Yes, I do work here, but I've also shopped at 20+ Costco locations and this one's the best. The staff is people-friendly even though the shoppers (for the most part) are not. Northern Virginia has the rudest, most unrealistically demanding community I've known in my 40+ years (15 plus areas lived) of life but the workers here do their best to ignore the distant, cold (again...for the most part...some polite, friendly gems do exist) members. I live in Fairfax, but I'd still drive the 22 miles to shop here. Ever try get a shopping cart at Fairfax?! Weekends, especially, can be frantically busy but generally the employees are still courteous and friendly. Smiles and positive attitudes go a long way and this Costco rocks! read more

Joined when we had a family of four which soon grew as we put up a second family of our immigrant relatives for a while. Now they've moved out and kids are grown and gone so its just two of us and a seven-pound chihuahua. Since it opened, Costco has been our go-to place for basic household items, milk, meat, cereal, soups and sauces which we were restocking weekly when the house was full. The quantity/price situation allowed us to get what we needed within our budget. Also computers, cooking and tableware, garden supplies, some clothes. Costco is our go-to for all that and more. I note that we see the same faces on the staff for a long time, indicating low turn-over, indicating a happy workforce.We're very pleased with this Woodbridge Costco. read more

Do not shop at Costco Tire center in woodbridge as the personal are very rude. I arrived at this store to have two tires installed two and one half hours before they closed and was told that they could not do the install now and I would half to come back on a slower day. Now I know its cold outside (colder than normal) but if I can see your not that busy as only one car in a bay then it must be the weather. I was unable to locate a manager to speak with at the Optical Center. There were two employees servicing the counter. They were busy assisting other clients when I arrived so I browsed to select a pair of frames. I waited for some assistance but was ignored. I went to the counter to inquire about the addition fees for the options I desired for the frames that I had decided on. The older employee bypassed me and addressed my husband which I found odd as I was standing at the counter. I then asked her for pricing on different options. She asked me if I was 18. I thought this was odd being that I haven't been 18 for quite sometime but I took it as a compliment. It does come to mind that even if I had been under 18 she wouldn't have been able to give me information on the pricing? At any rate, I'm assuming that she still thought I was a minor as she acted as if I was inconveniencing her by inquiring about purchasing frames. She simply flipped through a book, rambled off prices and walked away. I decided not to force her to sell me a pair a frames and left. Love Costco!!! You can't go wrong here. Employees are always helpful and friendly. Customer service has never been off the last 2 years that I have been coming here. Gas prices are the best in the area. If you go early in the morning then you won't have a long wait. Just like anything in this area if you go after 3 the line to get gas is horrific. Love the sampling days bc I like tasting all the yummy treats. The only thing I hate about Costco is the other shoppers. They are overly pushy and make me want to roll them over. Love that they take anything back. My mom bought a pair of sneakers that had a recall on them from Sletchers and they took them back 4 years later even though they were purchased in California. The typical Costco rant. A lot of people do not want to follow the stay to the right rule or keep your cart to the side out of the way. This main review is about exiting the store. Parked new the tire shop. This is def not the first time I've seen this. "Technician" walking out and is "searching" for a vehicle on his list. Keeps playing with the panic button even several feet away. Thanks for breaking that customers panic button alarm. Another time is a "technician" is driving a vehicle that is about 30-40 Ft away from the bay doors. Decides it needs to take the long way and is revving it and needs to speed and slow down and speed and slow down to the bay. Guess this guy has never driving a car before. Nonetheless people are nearby/ maybe not in the same parking lanes as this guy but to be witness this action. It continues to show the industry that some places or "technicians" can't be trusted. read more

This Costco was NOT ridiculously crowded like every other Costco in Northern VA, even though I went in the evening after work. It was easy to get around and get all the things I needed. What was really great was my check out experience. I wish I had gotten the names of the two women who helped check out my large purchase, because they were both great. I was at the store today around 4pm on 11/13/16 to browse what kind of phone they had at the Wireless Center located inside Costco. Right away a young salesman by the name Russell came over and asked if I was looking for a phone. I told him I was just browsing. Russell asked me again "What made you want to come browse" I looked at him and said "I'm just looking that's all" He again asked me "How many phone lines do you have?" I told him "I have 5 lines" He again asked me "So are you trying to get 5 lines activated?" then he turned to look at his coworkers and gave them a sneering face which I was able to see from the side. It was then I realized he was mocking me in front of his coworkers, to try to make himself look like a "class clown" He then continued to harrass me by asking same questions over again "What made you come here to just browse?" I felt disgusted and walked away. He is obviously a bad representative and a face of your company. No customer should be treated the way I was treated. read more

The problem I had was checking out, and being told that as far as a credit card goes, they only take American Express. Also, only Visa, as long as it's a debit card. Since I left the debit card at home(for hubby to use) and I only had my Visa CREDIT CARD, I was told I couldn't check out. Mind you, they lost a $60.00 sale. This was the second trip to Costco and the first one was a pain in the neck as well. Couldn't pay with a debit card at the small deli they had. You could only use a check or cash. Go figure.... Will not be re-upping on membership read more
