I haven't eaten Cottage Inn on 20 years this was the worst pizza I've had in a long time! The crust was not done I asked for a deep dish which I thought was square but not here it's thick crust and round the pizza sauce is tasteless! I ordered a veggie pizza they skimped on the veggies and the cheese! The pizza was just nasty the crust wasnt done gummy inside I ate part of two slices threw the rest away! Why did I give this place a second chance? The both times, the order was over an hour later than the time stated in the email they sent--and without excuse, since the first time the driver, who was on a motor scooter, spoke no English! The second time, there was just no reason given when I asked. Both times the food was cold to the point of being stale, and had been handled roughly--a real mess. Both times, I tried to call the Lincoln Park location, but no one answered the phone. Who's managing this mess? I used to love cottage in when I was in college at MSU. I'm happy they opened this location close to where I live. I chase only gotten their 7 inch personal nino pizza. Everyone I eat with likes to have meat on their pizza so I was surprised with how inexpensive and delicious their personal deep dish Pizza is. It's really dropped off. I used to go here all the time until I got the worst pizza of all time. In my entire pizza eating life I had never seen such disaster. There was no crust on the deep dish, just cheese and sauce every where and it was about the most undercooked pizza ever, even after asking for it to be cooked so it's crispy. I stopped going for six months or so, went the other day and got the second worse pizza of my life. Way overpriced for the quality of the food. First time customers and did the online ordering for delivery.. said it would be 35 mins.. after a hour has gone by we called to get a ETA because we were now 25 mins past delivery time and he said oh it's coming out of the oven it'll be another 20 to 30 mins. He said the online times are wrong.. he said he tries to tell everyone to call instead. Well with us being new customers how do we no this information?! We then had to pick our own pizza up after we were charged a delivery fee and left a tip since we paid with card in advance. We get our order home and they left out all of our sauces we paid for so we had to go back up there and get those. Pizza was sliced all weird with pieces cut so small that wouldn't even fill up a 2 year old. Then there would be really big cut pieces. The flavor of the pizza overall was maybe a 3 out of 10. Usually the food is ok for generic pizza from the same 3 wholesale food companies. Friday night I spent $25 on a bread and calzone delivered. Delivery took about an hour but it was Friday at 10pm. I delivered plenty of pies in my youth and I know a late night rush can be crazy. The calzone was completely raw even on the corner pieces. It was late and I was eating in the dark. I thought my first bite was cheesy, I realized on my second it was dough. Raw nasty dough. Plus the menu doesn't say the calzone has sauce ON it, or IN it. Either way sauce belongs on the side only. Was passing through Detroit and staying at the luxurious Howard Johnson. The front desk recommended the Cottage Inn for delivery, and due to hunger and tiredness, I gladly went with it Had an order of two 12 inch chicken parm grinders with lettuce and tomato, no cheese. There must be a shortage of lettuce and tomatoes in Michigan because each grinder went up $3 in cost. If you're looking for cold, sparsely filled chicken grinders, this is your place. If you want something tastier, perhaps hit the gas station for a burrito or the vending machine for a snack. Bonus star because the delivery guy had nice manners. read more

The calzones are the bomb! They say 45 minutes for delivery but typically get there in about 30 minutes. Sometimes we call in but most of the time we use the online app which is really easy to use. You can also see any deals they have going on by ordering online. I've only had their pizza one time and it was really good... but we always order the calzones! The items to get in the calzone are endless... you can even get pulled pork. Delivery guys/girls are always really nice and deserve a good tip! read more

We ordered a special with every thing and a BLT that was GLUTEN FREE for my wife. Well the Special was great the GLUTEN FREE was terrible in wasn't cooked all the way the crust was floppy it was just terrible. Do my wife called to tell them how bad their GLUTEN FREE pizza are and says she will make her another if she wants to come get it. But the wife says no I just want you to know how crappy it is. Then the girl on the phone Says she not gonna sit there and Listen to someone berate her, just call corporate and hangs up. This now infuriates my wife and she sent corporate an e-mail about it.
