    Sample of the oranges

A follow up to my last review. I was contacted by U-Pick and they asked me to return for an exchange or refund; so, did. I exchanged for a bag of Arizona Sweets. They were very good. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

This is a must if you are in the Phoenix area, and its not just for kids. My husband, and I, and our 27-year-old son, came here. We loved picking lemons and grapefruits. The staff was friendly, encouraged us to sample the fruit from the trees, and sent us on our way. The setting with abundant fruit trees, a horse pasture, and beautiful palms in a serene setting. We picked a giant bag of lemons/grapefruits, and purchased a bag of the most delicious oranges (a neighboring grove) as well as honey. It gets hot fast, so early morning picking is suggested. We definitely plan to come back and visit.

Zach's search for the meaning of life has taken a turn for the worse. He looks everywhere! "Are you under this tree?" He asks.

Great times! Bring the kids to look at the horses. We got three big bags of fruit and had a nice afternoon!

I enjoyed picking orange's . Tip 1 When you pick twist orange off don't pull. Tip 2 Walk around first find the better trees then pick

This place is so friendly, helpful, reasonably priced and amazing quality. Honestly, how luckY are we to get tree ripened cities that we select. They provide poles for reaching and wagons and bags. Also local honey from the grove. Military discount too!

Owners were so kind to us. Beautiful property! We loved picking our own citrus. Just like when we were younger at our grandparents houses.

What is the cost to go in and pick fruit? Is January a good time like today? How much is the food per pound?

We are open December to March so now is the best time to come! We are open daily 9-3. There is no admission cost, just pay for what you pick. We have mixed 15-20lbs bags of fruit which are $25 and if you love grapefruit and lemons we have a larger… Read more

July 2025…read more McClendon's...My Saturday morning addiction! If you know, you know...and if you don't know McClendon's yet, let me be the one to lovingly shove you in their direction. I've been shopping with them for years, mostly at the Uptown Farmers Market, and it's become a non-negotiable part of my weekend routine. Their fruits and veggies? On another level. I'm just telling you that once you taste their organic produce, it ruins the grocery store for you. I'm not being dramatic...okay maybe a little...but seriously, everything just tastes better. The carrots are sweeter, the citrus is brighter, and don't even get me started on the herbs. Fresh. Fragrant. Plentiful. I buy more than I need every time because I can't help myself. My fridge is so happy to be filled with all the herbs! It makes cooking seem way less like a chore and more like something wonderful that I get to do! The team is always kind, helpful, and genuinely happy to be there. You feel good shopping with people who care about what they do. Bonus? I actually spend less money here than I do at the store. Significantly less and for a much higher quality of food! It's wild. Totally worth the drive! Bottom line: McClendon's is the gold standard of Arizona farming. Your taste buds will thank you. Your wallet probably will too.

Whether you're there for the food, the vibe, or to catch up with a friend, it's got something for everyone. There are tons of fun photo spots, a hat-making station, and plenty of toys and games for all ages. The food is amazing! The Blue Rooster honey butter and sourdough are absolute musts. If the sourdough looks sold out, just ask - they'll usually bring more out. The fresh pizza is great, and the coffee and lemonade pair perfectly with it. Don't sleep on the pickles either - they're so good! They also have plant starts right now - cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and more ($5). As someone who shops organic, I found everything well-priced, often about the same or even a little less than Sprouts or Whole Foods. Everything's fresh, local, and never waxy or overprocessed. The whole area is shaded and super comfortable, so it doesn't get nearly as hot as you'd expect. All in all, The Blue Rooster is a lovely spot -- welcoming, relaxed, and full of small details that make it special. Highly recommend checking it out!

They have a store with merch and can foods, a big space for kids to play and they even have toys and corn hole boards. I saw they sell pizza freshly made in a brick over and it looked delicious but I didn't see the menu or prices. Also I didn't see the eggs for sale maybe it's because they were sold out. Also I didn't know who is an employee here there was no one at the coffee stand, not the gift shop. Only employee I saw was the cashier but he was very quiet plus was busy with other customers. But nice place to visit and walk around.
