We placed a to-go order and I was greatly disappointed with the food. Our chicken fried steak was about a quarter size of what they usually serve. The fried chicken on the salad was burnt and even when I removed the burnt breading, the chicken was too dry to consume. The fried catfish was edible but the portion was that of a child's meal with a few dried up hush puppies. Unfortunately, we don't live close enough to return the food but in the future it will teach me to check the food before leaving any restaurant. Never again will I order from here. read more

My wife and I have not been to a Cotton Patch for about 2 years due to the Pandemic. This use to be one of our favorites however, it is off the list for us! The menu has changed and added a lot of fried foods. We both ordered the Cobb Salad, terrible (dried out chicken and poor quality greens)! Also, the device use to provide payment defaults to 25% but you don't know that if are not familiar with it and your next move locks in that amount. My husband and I decided to stop by since we haven't been here in a while. The food never disappoints and the wait staff is very punctual and on point. Our server's name was John. Very polite! The food is awesome as always. We started off with the chicken nachos!! Great choice! Then I ordered the fried catfish basket with fries( the fries were somewhat cold) but not that bad. The basket also came with two jalapeño hush puppies, which were amazing! The batter was just perfect and held the fish together very nicely. My husband ordered what I think was called the chicken fried duo, which consisted of chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak, along with two sides. We definitely had leftovers. Cotton Patch has great food and staff. And the e-club has wonderful deals. They have the best fried green tomatoes than anyone else. And the avocado ranch dressing they have is the best dressing. Re the Lake Worth location...This was a surprise to us. We eat out alot and so recognize when a change for the worse happens. This day was the pits. We won't go back...to any location. And they used to be a favorite. Catfish and shrimp and Steak fingers with the Mozzarella fries were ordered. First Water and lemon on the side. Lemon was in the water so asked for a replacement. The waitress was not so friendly. So I explained why I don't like unwashed lemon in my water. And then the rolls were cold. The food was delivered minus the broccoli...that would be along soon...not soon at all but it finally got there. The Catfish and shrimp were both disappointing. The Catfish filets were so thin...and not as represented at all . The Shrimp look anemic and just not the average Shrimp you would see at any nice restaurant. Fries were few and greasy I might add. The surprise...A COVID Tax was added to the bill....under $2....but WHAT ? 1st time for this one. I left my usual 15% tip based on the food...The waitress..rolling her eyes over her mask when asked to do anything was the icing on this pathetic experience. Had a great experience at the Burleson location. Britney was our waitress and she was outstanding. Super friendly, and got everything out correct and on time. I don't get to Burleson often, but other Cotton Patch locations could use this location as a model. The one in Cleburne where I live, is a total joke, and the staff is clueless. Okay food, okay service here. They have decent prices. However, I will come here for bacon cheese fries, and their chicken fried chicken. They get that right. I wouldn't come here for steak or anything moderately fancy. The rolls are decent, but when it comes to fresh yeast rolls, I feel that theirs are a little crusty on the outside, perhaps hit and miss on the freshness. We go here fairly regularly, about once a month. It's typical American comfort food with a few creative options. I'm vegetarian, and I get either the "Wabbit platter" (I choose from their many veggie options and create to my liking) or a wedge salad (a huge chunk of iceberg lettuce plus toppings.) The service is always friendly and quick, mostly provided by local Burleson teenagers. We take out two small kids and enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere. Twice I ordered curbside. First time, over 20 minute wait for an incorrect order. Second time, went in to pick up the curbside order like others. Waited for over a hour for more errors! I requested a refund. Management attempted to provide a $0 billed piece of paper. Requested a receipt that showed the order was returned to my card. If the order wasn't right, how would I know if the adjustment was actually processed? Took an additional 15 minutes. The curbside pick up time provided online and at the store was incorrect. My order was placed at 6:31pm...didn't leave the store until 7:41pm. My ready time was 7:09. Please double check your order before leaving! Your Fried Day was an epic fail at the Burleson location. I placed an online order and it was scheduled to be ready at 1:36. We were notified at 1:56 that it would be "another 30 minutes or so". 20 minutes after that I came into the restaurant and was told orders were running 2 hours behind. It is absolutely ridiculous that your online system doesn't notify customers if orders will be delayed. I should be home entertaining guests and not standing waiting for a pickup. I raved about your fried bacon to people who have not had your food and this is the first impression they are receiving. Maybe your staff should be doubled on days when you're offering $5 food. read more

I called and explained that I am really sick and said the only thing I might be able to hold down is their chicken and dumplings...I havent been able to eat all day. I asked If I could psy over the phone with my debit card (We are talking $7, not $700), and I explained that I would have my daughter pick it up on her way home from work. He checked with the manager. Then said "Sure, No problem" then I placed the order and said ok my debit card number is...He then stopped me and said "Oh I cant take your card over the phone, I thought you were sending the card with your daughter".... To which I replied, " No, thats why I called and asked ahead of time and you asked your manager and he said yes"....to which he replied, Im sorry its against policy. For the third weekend in a row they run out of the weekend $11.00 pot roast meal today at 1:50pm. Ridiculous.

Stopped in about 5pm to have an early dinner. We have been here before and the food was great and good service. However this time, the service was bad (neglectful) and the food was not right. Every thing from the medium cold food to having to get up from our table and find someone to get the help we needed and get what we ordered. The manager was oblivious to anything going on around him, he seemed to be more interested in "talking" to the hostesses. I watched as he did not great anyone just talked and joked around. I really don't care about that but when someone can't do their job and make sure the servers under them do their job then I have a problem when I am paying for a product and service. read more
