Working in area stopped in for dinner. Sat in booth by window, window ledge had not been cleaned in quite some time - dead flies & dirt, disgusting . Requested to be moved to a table as we had already ordered before noticing issue. Waitress, sadly not her forte. Ordered 2 teas & water, got 2 waters & 1 tea & the service went downhill from there. Just never had seen such poor service. Finally got,our food. A hamburger & salad... All I can say is the cook was ok, as the food was good. Won't go back. read more

I tried the Three Cheese Bacon Burger today and was thoroughly unimpressed. While the dinner roll and the bun on the burger were excellent, the meat was seasoned with so much pepper that I was burping it up hours later. I know they must find it difficult to distinguish themselves from Chili's and Black-eyed Pea, but over-seasoning the food is not the way to do it. read more

The chicken fried steak is fantastic! The french fries are great too. The fried green tomatoes aren't bad. The baked squash wasn't my cup of tea and the mashed potatoes are definitely NOT fluffy or creamy like I prefer them. I like the atmosphere and the place is very clean. All in all I would eat here a couple of times a month and can recommend it to people with no reservations. I have been in other parts of the chain that I can't say that about, but the Granbury link in the chain is a strong one and the staff is superb!! read more

I have never been to a Cotton Patch Cafe before, and didn't know what to expect. I met my brother and sister there today, at their suggestion. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very good, and our waitress (Baylee) was just outstanding. Personable, helpful, prompt, and with a great sense of humor. I would come back just to see her again. The food is pretty basic, but it was solid. The servings were generous enough to take some home for dinner. I'll definitely be returning. read more

I had a great experience at this location today. All three of us had great food, it was served very hot and the waitress was very nice. She took our drink order when she seated us and checked on us regularly. The fries were soggy, but everything else was so good that it didn't matter. Yeah, uh... I purchased some onion rings to-go at this Cotton Patch, and uh... I didn't quite get onion rings... Close, but not quite... You see, I got fried onion skins instead... But they were courteous enough to throw in two onion rings! I bit into one and it was hard and tasteless. This is one of the reasons I have trust issues. Thank you, Cotton Patch. The seating along with the service was smooth , pleasant and made you feel come back. Being in Texas and indulging in an good old staple chicken fried steak was a satisfying meal. The sides was even fresh and not tasting as it was sitting back in kitchen to be served. Salad was crisp and tomatoes and cucumbers was diced so bit was easy to accomplish while conversation was carried out with family. At lunch we both ordered salmon. It comes with two vegetables. We both ordered broccoli and I ordered a salad. My wife only wanted the one side. The waiter failed to bring the rolls. When our meal came, there was no broccoli on my wife's plate. He said it was coming. After we both were almost finished, he returned and said there was no more broccoli and that she should choose another side. We were finished. My wife said just charge us for one meal since she only received the fish. He spoke to the manager and she refused to alter the ticket except to remove the sides at 50 cents each. at that rate I should be able to get five vegetables on a vegetable plate for $2.50. We will not return and neither will the patrons who heard the exchange. read more

We have been here several times prior to this visit and enjoyed it. We placed our order including their mushrooms for an appetizer, the size of this has been reduced. I asked for some honey mustard and never received it. I tried their catfish, I was able to eat one of them and left the other due to the nasty taste. The fries that came with it were wimpy and cold and I left those as well. I must admit, I was kicking myself for eating the filet I ate, fearful of getting sick. Thankfully I did not get sick. It seems like the management has gone downhill. Tables were left dirty almost the entire time we were there. A lot of banging in the kitchen. When I told the waitress about my husbands catfish, she took it, said "sorry" and then came back with, "my manager will look into it"! If I was the manager I would have taken it off the bill! Very disappointed in how this location seems to have gone downhill over the past couple of years. Tonight we ordered lemon herb salmon and a catfish dinner for takeout. With the pandemic in progress it was going to be nice to have a restaurant meal even if it was take out. How disappointing. The salmon was very over cooked and black. Matter of fact at first we thought they had given us blackened salmon .... except that is not on their menu. Wife could not eat it, it was so bad. The catfish was very salty and although it was supposed to come on a bed of french fries, there were none. I called the manager and he apologized and is sending us coupons for a couple of meals but that did us little good this evening. We have eaten at this location for close to ten years and we used to love it but as I said, the past couple of years it has really gotten worse and worse. Sorry to see it happen, but unless it improves I'm afraid we'll be dining elsewhere. I hate to post this, but they need to know that long time customers are going elsewhere. read more

My husband and I had dinner here over the weekend with our 3-year-old. Our waiter was very attentive and put our daughter's order in promptly. (However, we received our appetizer at the same time as our entrees.) The spinach/artichoke dip was very bland. I got a bowl of the potato cheese soup, which was good. My daughter seemed to enjoy her corn dog and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak, which he said was the best he'd had in a while. We did receive excellent service and would go back. read more

Waitress staff was amazing and the food was wonderful. The cheese stix are homemade, cooked to order and very good. I personally eat my steak well-done and this is the only place in town I can go to where they dont burn it. I have never had any issues with the food.
