So first, let's be realistic in our expectations. It's a fast casual restaurant that's on the affordable side. It's in a remodeled Taco Bueno building, though they did a good job on the makeover. The service can be a little slow at times, but only because they give special attention to customers and it takes a little longer. The GM is a young man that is awesome. He always goes over and above to make sure guests are happy. Deborah helps with drinks and keeps the dining area clean. She's a sweetheart. We have observed many changes and much growth in the management at the Mesquite location, One very good change is the hiring of Winter. She is kind, respectful, smart, intelligent, courteous, personable, charismatic, perspicacious and professional. She ensures that every order is filled correctly and to the customer's satisfaction. For that, we are grateful. She has proven that she is management ready. She would make a GREAT restaurant manager at McAlister's. Everyone respects her leadership and management skills. Expensive, not that great service lady visit. It took more than 10 minutes after they delivered my husband's food to our table for them to deliver mine (and I had to remind them that they'd never delivered my order yet). We were excited we we learned we were getting a deli in town that serves salads! We have visited several times since they opened and each time we have chosen to take it home because of the large crowd and smallish dining area. Honestly, if we had decided to eat in the restaurant each time we would have probably sent and item or two back for correction. Their food is good but poorly prepared and presented at times. Luke warm/almost cold potatoes, leaky soup containers, thrown together sandwiches, etc. Bottom line... Will we continue to visit, yeah maybe, but not for take out. I just walked in to order lunch to go. They must be competing with chick fil a because some of the kindest people I have ever met at a food establishment. I like McAlisters for a quick dine in. But, often we decide to get something to take home. That decision is often made as we pass by. Being a fast food style restaurant, i would like to go through drive through, order, pay and pick up. Not here. You must order online only for window pickup. Not very convenient and has caused me to eat from elsewhere numerous times. I did think of it in advance a couple times and tried the online ordering. Both times it said "an error has occurred." Bottom line is McAllister s continues to miss out on my attempted food choices. read more

There is no consistency from one day to another. There's a 50/50 chance your order will be good. This is suppposed to be a club sandwich. The contents were correct, but the bread was stale, and the presentation was bad. read more

Yeh! It's finally open. Went to Granbury location for the first time tonight. Ordered online for pick-up ASAP. Order was ready when promised (10min) and was correct. Love the drive through pickup window. Just FYI, this is not an drive through order, you have to order on line or call to use the window. Had the orange cranberry club and half baked potato. I ordered a French dip and my husband ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. Both of us were disappointed with our food. The roast beef was extremely tough, the sandwich was cold, my husband's sandwich was not grilled as requested. Something has definitely changed at this restaurant, and not for the good.
