I cancelled my service today due to a competitor offering a better speed & pricing. Cancellation with Frontier took about 17 minutes, which was ok as I understood they would try to sell me another plan with 'better' pricing. However, I still cancelled and they are charging me what was explained to me as a standard $50 for shipping and handling for me to return my equipment...when other companies offer free drop off at the end of service! For this reason alone I would not recommend Frontier. I will go to my socials and spread the word of this $50 fee when Frontier has already collected thousands from me over the years.

Most annoying, AT&T's so-called "Virtual Assistant" schedules stuff and dialogs with customers, but it's an outright liar. I waited for a tech one day during the 8 - 12 window Virtual Assistant gave me. Virtual Assistant kept texting me "we're late but we're on the way" for over FOUR HOURS. When it was obvious the tech did not show up, I texted "When are you coming?" Virtual Assistant answered, "We can help you with that." The next day, Virtual Assistant texted "Your repair is complete." I replied, "I don't believe you." Virtual Assistant replied (again) "We can help you with that." Total incompetence. I switched to Spectrum. After I terminated AT&T, they emailed me a "How did we do?" inquiry. I answered it, and a couple of weeks later I received the same inquiry. AT&T's downfall is its stupid automated communications. The nice thing about Spectrum is that they have live people there to answer the phone and their answers are helpful.

Spectrum has one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever dealt with…read more I clearly informed them that I was moving, yet they transferred my account anyway without proper authorization. I later canceled the service, returned the equipment directly to the original location, and confirmed everything in person. Despite this, they still billed me and continued the service as if nothing had changed. After multiple calls, I was escalated to a manager who assured me everything had been resolved. However, I am still receiving emails and calls regarding a service I no longer have and did not authorize to continue. There is no reason I would choose to keep paying $256 a month for inconsistent service and ongoing administrative errors. At this point, I no longer want or need their service, and I strongly regret my experience with this company.

Terrible Reliability and Service after only 6 Days…read more - Signed up for Service on the morning of March 13th had to wait 4 days for install Appointment on March 17th - On March 23rd (6 Days) the Internet Service went dead due to a Frontier Port Issue (their fault) - Was told to wait (2-3 days) to have a technician come out to fix the Frontier Port Problem - Also, their setup fees of $149 are unreasonable, they also charge you for your own Router $10. I was told by the Install Technician that Frontier will not wave the $10 per month router fee even if you have your own equipment.

When I signed up for service with the rep for our apartment, I did not ask for any extra services like an internet "security" service I didn't need; nor did I ask for their router; nor did I ask for HBO Now. When I realized these extra services were tacked on "free" I called their customer service and had them remove them from my account as I didn't need them and wouldn't use them. I still got billed for the HBO Now, even after calling them twice and telling them to remove it and that I would never use it. When the service was connected to my apartment, I asked the installer about the router...I told him I had my own and wouldn't need theirs. He tells me its already included in my service fee and I wasn't going to be charged extra for it. Yeah. OK. That's why a monthly $10 router fee is permanently listed on my bill, even after repeated calls to Frontier about removing it. They said I signed a contract that required it (I specifically didn't sign up for a contract plan as we aren't sure how long we would stay in this apartment, so I'm not sure what annual contract they are talking about). And tonight (09-25-2018), I paid the bill online using my credit card. The due date on the bill is 09-25-2018. However, the confirmation number date from the receipt I received says 09-26-2018. How much you want to bet they are going to charge me a late fee next month? This company is crap and shady. They're going to nickel and dime you to death at any opportunity. If I had a choice of service providers, Frontier wouldn't be in the top 50.

I used them in Kentucky and then moved to Dallas. The equipment ended up on my moving truck in Kentucky. I went into the store in Kentucky, told them what happened and they said, no problem, bring it to a store in Dallas when you get there. I tried, Dallas wouldn't except the equip from out of state so I was told I had to ship it to the warehouse in Ohio. I did that, have a FedEx confirmation and the name of the person who signed for it. They still won't credit my account and have turned me over to collections. I'm NOT paying for your garbage equipment that I already sent to you!! Time to seek legal counsel and charge them for it, I guess. Get your systems integrated, Spectrum!!!
