Bought a new truck from Coughlin Pataskala. 2017 2500hd 6.6L Duramax. It's been in the shop 10 times since new. The Intercooler line busted when I was on a long trip for Labor Day Weekend. (I always check my transmission fluid level and oil before a long trip, especially pulling my boat) The truck only has 38,000 miles on it now. This is a common problem I was told, and there is a special warranty because of it.( which means GM is more than aware of this exact issue) I had the truck in the shop previously because I said something was not right with the transmission. (Shifting hard and hanging RPM's on shifts) They dismissed the issue, told me it was fine and that I was wrong. On my paperwork for my dealership visits, they list a 27 point inspection which includes belts, fluids, and hoses, etc. Apparently someone missed the hoses part because mine failed. The truck was in at 35,000 miles and they said everything was fine. (27 point inspection) A metal intercooler hose would surely show wear at 35,000 miles if it "rubbed through" (as I was told) at 38,000 miles. Long story short, I drove from TN to Ohio with no transmission fluid because of their faulty line. Not to mention pulling a boat through the mountains. My Allison transmission completely let loose when I was putting the boat in the water on the boat ramp and when I was taking my boat out. (Anyone that owns a boat knows how dangerous this is) not to mention my entire family was in the truck. Coughlin replaced the hose and refilled my transmission with fluid and told me I was good to go. Not good enough for me! 7 1/2 hours with no transmission fluid calls for a new transmission. (Any owner that knows anything about transmissions would agree with this) My truck would grind gears, pop out of gear, and not even go into gear. I was not able to drive to work Tuesday morning after my trip because the transmission was so messed up. After dealing with the dealership, And getting nowhere, I asked for the GM or Area Managers contact information. They told me they could not give me that information or they would be fired. When I finally complained non stop, they told me that their GM would call me. Well guess what, 2 days later and no call. I picked up my truck last night and it is still shifting funny. (Not how an Allison transmission should) I paid too much money to be jerked around the way I am being especially, when the truck it a is under a full powertrain warranty (100,000 miles). Coughlin by far is the worst I have ever dealt with. Can't even get a call returned as promised. read more

I saw the vehicle on line, called and was connected to Nick. I wanted to see more pictures than was posted on the internet and he took more pictures and looked at areas on the vehicle that I wanted to know about and answered my questions. I live 300 miles from the dealership so Nick was my "eyes". The vehicle had been inspected by one of the mechanics and I wanted to talk to him about it before I drove to see it. Nick took the time to find the mechanic and let me talk to him personally. And finally, knowing that I lived so far away, Nick even shot a video of the vehicle and posted it on line so I could better see and hear the vehicle run. He went out of his way to accomadate me. One of the best service experiences I have had in a long time. I had a scheduled appt. with the body shop, they got me right in and everyone I spoke with were very nice and professional. They treated my concerns as if they were their own concerns. I did not have an appt for my oil/servicing but they were able to get my car in and take care of me with no problem.
