What a find. This beats any breakfast diner. I immediately felt like we were in another era. We were greeted by the most friendly staff. She promptly got us drinks, mentioned items on the menu, and made suggestions this was a casual diner with top not service. Now breakfast was great. I had chicken fried stead with home fried potatoes. The portion was huge and the gravy had such wonderful flavor. Everyone enjoyed the meal. The best part, our waitress, I'm so sorry I don't remember her name but I do know she's from Missouri and you can just see she loves her job and has a servants heart. Simple dated decor that says welcome. The waitress was on top of keeping our coffee filled and always checked on us even though she was training another server. the food was fine, the only thing that was unsatisfying was you could really taste the grease. I was hesitant to try this place but I'm glad I did. I give Country Boys 5 stars because: 1. Ordered corn beef hash with 2 eggs, sliced tomatoes & hasbrowns. Food came out VERY HOT which I love. I tried my friends biscuits and gravy and they also came out very hot and were excellent. 2. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, and every condiment you needed was already on the table. 3. Our waitress was excellent. She immediately came by with water and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. I will definitely go back! Do you want your toast manhandled by the waitress with no gloves. She touches your toast to cut it in fours and then hangs on tight to the toast to butter it. My meal involved fairly normal buttermilk pancakes and a terrible plate of unseasonably home fries. No onions, peppers or salt and pepper in the out of the bag potatoes. The waitress we had was very rude, did not check up on us, and we had to get up and get our own condiments from other tables because she didn't ask. When we came in it took them over 5 minutes to notice we walked in and seat us. The table we were sat at wasn't even wiped down properly. My friend's son had to go wash his whole arm because when he placed it on the table he got syrup all of his arm. When this was mentioned to the waitress she blew it off like it was not a big deal and we should get over it. Would not recommend this location. I went there for breakfast, and ordered the corned beef hash breakfast with hash browns. The corned beef tasted canned, and extremely metallic, and didn't have any genuine flavor, I couldn't finish it. The "toast" was basically buttered bread, hardly any toasting involved. The hash browns were soaked in oil, no flavor, or crispiness. The eggs were the only redeeming thing about the meal, but too little. The waitress was fantastic, and made sure to take care of my needs. Perfect everytime!!! As a person who wakes up at 2am Monday-Saturday for work and not getting able to enjoy breakfast as much, I love that this place never fails when I order breakfast for dinner. I had already tried the new and improved Country Boys 2 weeks ago, I had a double cheese burger and Mac and cheese bites, it wasn't great, but I convinced myself to go back and try their breakfast. So today I came back and ordered a breakfast burrito, I was told there were two options first option was a small burrito with a side for $9, second option was one big burrito for $17 rounding up, after taxes, I got the big one. The problem is I waited in the drive thru for 20 minutes before my food was ready, I was the only car in the drive thru. Then, I gave my card to pay and that took another 8 minutes just to pay. I finally get home to the burrito and it's honestly not big at all, and it tasted very mediocre to justify paying $17. Sorry but this place is just not going to be getting anymore money or time from me.
