Got so sick on a drink. And the pastrami. Will not have that again. I have been throwing up all night & in bathroom with the d.

This bagel shop is definitely more than your typical grab-and-go spot. It's a pretty large space with a mix of retail and dining, there's a full restaurant style seating area on one side and smaller, more casual tables on the other. They also sell a variety of merchandise, which gives it a unique, almost market style feel. I ordered the cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese, and my son tried the Camelback chorizo. Both were flavorful. They were also offering pretzel samples while we waited, which was a nice touch and the pretzels were warm and really tasty. Overall, the food and atmosphere were solid, but the service could use a bit of improvement. Service was slow despite there being plenty of staff in the back chatting, and after placing my order while I was still at the counter, I asked for a cup of water and was told by the cashier to go to another person to order it. There was only one person behind me, so it felt unnecessary and not very customer friendly. It's a small detail, but those moments can impact the overall experience.

Upgraded my review of Chompie's based upon the past year. Food and service have improved based solely upon my experience. Ordered the A-Z Avocado served with two poached eggs and veggies. Asked them to cook the eggs so no egg snot. Breakfast was good and coffee cup was never empty. All good here.

A gem! I've only purchased their bagels in the grocery store. I didn't realize there was an actual New York style deli in Phoenix. I was pleasantly surprised to find this location. Also this location has a market area where you can take desserts, bread and order bagels and sandwiches to go. The service was excellent, very attentive. I opted to sit at the bar and I noticed it was a bloody Mary bar. The ambience was fun and casual. I opted to sit at the bar and my server Chris was very busy, but efficient and friendly, I had a half portion of a rare roast beef sandwich, and it was almost like a full sandwich. As the portions are generous here, it makes it a good value. Will definitely return!

Chompie's makes excellent bagels and other baked goods and desserts. They offer sit down meals with mile high sandwiches and food you would find in a New York deli. Scrumptious! Always a popular and busy stop for people. Shared parking.

We've been meaning to come check this place out for a while as we've seen it and heard people talk about it but have never actually been to one. It was a pleasant experience. The restaurant was clean and well lit with murals and art on the walls. I enjoy when a space has character and this definitely did. The menu was straight forward and had a lot of good options. We were seen by a waiter quickly and our orders came out quickly. We enjoyed our food. My ham and Swiss on rye grilled cheese really hot the spot and I loved the fries too. After eating we went to check out the bakery and deli cases and the little gift shop. They had really nice options and some fun mugs for that friend with a good sense of humor. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Will be back in the future.

On 2/27, I get bread baked on 2/22 and 2/24?

First let's start off with what works here: Food! Chompies as a local deli chain is the closest to a traditional NY deli. Plenty of other solid ones back in Chicago, but out here there are just a few. Then we go to locations: Tempe was our first one, but they closed. Chandler followed as our next go to place when we lived in East Valley. Now in this part of town, this new location is the closest, but probably the worst in terms of service. Today's visit was the last straw. Bakery: Line almost out the door at lunch time and only one person working the counter. Took 5 min for a 2nd person to show up and handle coffee and counter service. Asked to bring Challah to an event, I immediately thought of this place. What I didnt realize when I got here is a BAKERY sells challah/bread baked and packed on 2/22 and 2/24 on 2/27! I expect a bakery to sell FRESH baked goods, not previously baked and frozen goods. Service: Not a single smile and nothing but attitude at the counter. This is the last time I am coming to this location, will drive to Shea or just go NY Bagel next time. So 4/5 Stars for general deli food and sandwiches, 1 Star for bakery service and "baked" goods.

This Chompie's location is huge with plenty of restaurant seating, bar, and separate deli counter. The portions are generous and pricing is very reasonable. I had the Park Ave Pastrami bagel sandwich which is basically all the best food I like at Chompie's on an everything bagel. :)

My sons 14th birthday was coming up and I noticed one day in Fry's that Chompie's was selling cakes and wondered if you could order a fresh cake from their store. Sure enough they had made to order cakes, so I placed an order a week in advanced for a white cake with chocolate frosting and a golf theme (since we were going to TopGolf). I actually spoke with the baker and we confirmed all details. When I arrived on Saturday morning to pick up the cake they could not locate it anywhere. They called the baker and he somehow got the day mixed up. Thankfully the party wasn't until 6pm so they said the baker would come in and make the cake and they could have it ready by 2pm. When I returned at 2pm the cake was ready and they made sure to tell me the baker had to come all the way in to make it, which is nice but um ok. Also I realized it was vanilla frosting and not chocolate like I specified but I didn't say anything cause there was a little chocolate. The written happy birthday was small and a bit sloppy but correct at this point I had no choice but to take it. Unfortunately the cake was terrible when we finally ate it and tasted like nothing but sugar, even the kids didn't like it. Hmmm I was expecting much more but now I'm thinking Chompies should stick to bagels.

Corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and hash browns!

Came here after doing some fishing to have breakfast. For it being Sunday the place wasn't crowded. This restaurant is always kept clean and their servers are always accommodating. This was my second visit to this particular place. This morning I thought I would try the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and hash browns. It was very tasty but was too much for this guy. I always forget their servings are big and enough for two. I will return to try something else. Nice place to eat and enjoy company.

We've been here a few times now, and in my opinion, it's one of the best spots in the valley for a true New York-style bagel sandwich. My go-to is the Wall Street Bagel (for the lox, of course), but the breakfast burritos are also a solid, budget-friendly option. The service is consistently great--every time we've visited, we've been greeted and helped promptly. Shout-out to Keston, who always takes care of us! As for the vibe, it's your classic café setting--lively but not loud, relaxed without feeling sleepy. It definitely gives off that Big City Train Station energy. Highly recommend it to anyone in search of a quality breakfast spot!

The Lox & Loaded with its latke, egg, cream cheese, red onion, green onions, greens, and tomato on an everything bagel is the perfect breakfast sandwich - absolutely love it! I enjoyed their Black & White cookie too, so soft.

Closest thing to authentic NY deli in AZ. Love me some half sours and an oversized corned beef Sammie. Potato salad is good too.

The interior is pretty long with a large number of seating inside the building so we had no trouble getting seated right away by the hostess. We decided on food relatively quickly due to previous experience with the business, however, our waiter never came around to take our orders or even give us water at the table. We saw one girl with dyed hair who unassumingly could have been our waiter since she was in our section but only worked with one particular table and ran to the back after each time, but never addressed our table or came by. We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. We ordered Flordian French Toast and Elote Breakfast Burrito (plus a couple sides and drink) which were both really good, and filling. Prices weren't too bad for what we ordered and was able to take our mind off of the rather long wait to get helped. Not sure if we'll come back to this particular location again, but it was nice trying the restaurant out another time.

The staff was friendly throughout our stay, and the overall property has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy the sunshine and scenery. We booked an upgraded suite with a separate bedroom and TV room, which gave us plenty of space to spread out. While the layout was great, the room itself could use some updates. The bathroom fixtures were older--the Kohler toilet didn't flush well and was a bit noisy, and the tub/shower combo had rounded sides that made it tricky to stand comfortably. The shower water also never got fully hot. The room had a slightly musty smell, and the carpets would benefit from a deep cleaning. The balcony screen door didn't close tightly, which let a few flies in, and access to the second floor required two sets of stairs since there's no elevator in that section. Even with those issues, the resort's location, views, and overall vibe made the stay enjoyable. With some room refreshes and a bit more maintenance attention, this could easily be a standout property. The setting alone is worth experiencing.

I found a great AAdvantage Hotel deal at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort and booked it. While it was a great success of a visit in terms of AAdvantage miles and loyalty points, my actual experience at the hotel itself was less to be desired due to the customer service and a big snafu on their part. I also have Hilton Gold status, though as I booked the hotel through a third party site (AAdvantage Hotels), I could see the stay and the stay history in my Hilton app, but I did not receive any benefits for staying there, which was fine as I didn't expect any anyone. I arrived in person to check in and already reserved and prepaid for a King 1 Bedroom Standard Suite, which had a nice view and reasonably spacious room (but not too much larger than a regular room at another hotel). The room was certainly not upgraded though there was parking available right in front of the entrance. I did not receive anything else at check-in nor did it appear that I'd get my regularly complimentary water. I did pay the daily resort charge which includes high speed internet access, access to the Falls Water Village, an hour at the tennis/pickleball court, an hour at the afternoon golf practice facility, two hours for a mountain bike rental, 20% off seasonal spa services, and 15% off select golf apparel. While I didn't use it, I had easy view and access to the Falls Water Village where you could lounge and play all day on their sun-marked terrace where you could find free-form pools, hot tubs, and cabanas. They even have a 138-foot enclosed water slide. When I checked out, I was told that a bill would be sent to me shortly since I did it on the app early, and when I received the bill, there was a charge for my room at the restaurant at the top of the hill called A Different Point of View. The catch is that I never went to eat there during my stay (or at any onsite restaurant since I live in the area and had my meals offsite). I reached out to the hotel who insisted that I did go there to eat. I promised them I didn't eat anywhere onsite and that they need to look at the receipt and see if it actually has my room number. They confirmed it did and that this meant I ate there. I told them to find my name on it and let me know if it was on there. After several more back and forth conversations, they confirmed it wasn't me and would remove the charge. They then mistakenly charged me double. Then they removed one charge, but it took more than a week before they removed the other charge. By the end of the exchanges, it felt like they were blaming me for their own mistake. While the resort is aged and rather pleasant, there certainly are training issues regarding the customer service offered at this property. I do not plan on staying here again in the future.
