For the area this was the best meal we had while visiting hot springs. They close at 8 and we walked in at 7:54 and the nice lady still took our order. We are so grateful for that. We had the Cajun shrimp pasta and a salad and the food was good.

A quaint little country place that serves good sweet tea and some home cooking. There aren't many places in Warm Springs that do so this was a very welcomed find for us!

Such a great roadside diner. Pies are delicious and if your lucky you can get one or two to go. You will be glad you did, you have to be wanting to come here if your not fortunate enough to live nearby this clean, well ran eatery. Catfish is so good and served up crispy and hot, with a side of tarter sauce. Save room for peanut butter pie, my grandma always said after poking my belly before a meal, "Better not forget, that's where your pie goes!" So glad to get to return, eat local. If ya gotta drive to get there ....do it, drive.

What a great diner! We really enjoyed our breakfast here. The pancakes were perfect, fluffy but with yummy crispy edges. Their homemade biscuits were a favorite with our group. Definitely would return the next time we're in the area. The staff were very friendly too!

It is a diner. Normal selection of wraps, sandwiches and soups. Food was okay as was service. Annoying they are closed for breakfast on most days so did not try that though did bike once to find it closed. Still not a bad choice if looking for an Affordable lunch or if go on Thursday, Friday and Saturday grab a breakfast.

Beef and broccoli with green beans and pasta salad

Working in the area for another week so I stopped here again for dinner. This time I decided on the beef and broccoli stir fry. Service is quick, food was hot and cooked perfectly. They close at 8pm so get there early. Good for children too. Small salad bar if you prefer. So much food I carried half of it back for lunch the next day. Lots of local folks come by for takeout. Keep in mind that they are closed Sunday and Monday.

Parmesan trout with fries and green beans. Rolls too.

What a nice local eatery! Nothing fancy here, just local diner fare. Very reasonable prices and we were happy to get away from The Homestead for an evening. Basket of rolls to start. I had trout with parmesan (and fries and green beans). Food was well done and we had a lot to eat! The trout had a very good flavor. It's a good option to go here since there are very few places to eat in the Warm Springs area.

It was freezing cold. They only offer a full buffet for $28 per adult. children over 7 I believe was $15. Boy what a spread. From fresh waffles, pancakes, omelettes to order, to eggs, sausages, eggs bene, awesome hash browns, bacon, as much OJ you want to consume, grits and oatmeal. Whew, Next up their pastries: cinnamon buns, croissants, delicious donuts made in house. Lots of fruits, smoked salmon (my favorite). Can't remember if there was anything else. Totally understandable and happy to comply with the dress code. Our waiter started off wonderfully and then basically disappeared! We were only offered one round of drinks and really thirsty for another, but never asked and could not get anyone's attention to order a second round or even a third round. Our water glasses were never filled. I ordered soup and salad as my main and my salad never showed up. No apologies no nothing. We were just told that breakfast is served in the morning. I thought he was going to tell us the breakfast was complementary since the service was so crappy but no! He didn't seem to notice. Unfortunately, I have to say this restaurant is like putting pig on a lipstick. The dining room is very pretty and the menu is well curated but nothing actually was what it appeared to be. The service staff are not well trained and it shows. The cauliflower in Panna cotta was very delicious. Everything else was very mid. The bill was extremely expensive. Absolute pass. Really ticked me off that they were so strict on the dress code, but everything fell down from there. Would not recommend.

We went with and iced coffee and pastry to tide us over until lunch since we were also visiting the baths in the afternoon. Coffee was good - menu items are basic sandwiches and such. I saw a chicken salad and a few other things that would be nice for after a hike or some activities at the hotel. Prices are fair and much better than at the resort. A great addition to the town! When we walked it we were overwhelmed with choices. The menu takes up an entire wall and there are sweet, savory and traditional meals to choose from. I'm sure no matter what your preference is, you will find something that meets your palate here. We chose the chorizo, egg and avocado waffle and my wife had the wiskets (waffle+biscuits) and gravy. So this is where things started to become a little disappointing. The staff pointed us to an electronic kiosk to take our order, take a pager, and pay. Oh of course we were asked for a tip. (More on this later) We took a table and waited for our pager. We found silver and napkins at the service counter and wrangled those. When the pager went off, we went up to the counter and retrieved our food. So...the food was really well presented and designed for the Gram. It was tepid at best, and unfortunately, not really flavorful. The waffle was soggy, with more of the consistency of a pancake than a waffle. My wife had the wiskets and I'm not sure if the staff has ever had sausage gravy before, but they may want to try a different formulation. When we finished, we found the Dishroom where we needed to scrape and bus our plates. So if I have to ring up the transaction, seat myself, wait on myself and bus the tables, what am I tipping for? Maybe I'm just salty because we were very near $40 for a mediocre breakfast for two, but the tipping thing just feels a bit tone deaf.

Unfortunately, even that appears to be too much to ask. On my most recent visit, I arrived alone and took an open seat at the bar, which seemed like the obvious choice for a solo diner. I immediately noticed food from a completely different fast-food restaurant scattered across part of the counter. Since it was on the employee side of the bar and both employees were standing behind it, I reasonably assumed they were eating between tasks. In fact, one employee was actively eating from the food while on the clock. While unprofessional, I chose to overlook it. What I could not overlook was the behavior of the employee I later learned was named Betty. Rather than greeting me or taking my order, Betty decided to make comments about my choice of seating to the other patrons sitting at the bar. Instead of speaking to me directly, she chose to publicly imply that I had done something wrong by sitting in an open seat clearly intended for customers. When I asked whether she was referring to me, she confronted me and explained that it should have been "obvious" that the area occupied by their fast-food meal was reserved for the employees. Let that sink in: an employee eating food from another restaurant behind the counter felt entitled to publicly criticize a paying customer for sitting at a customer seat because it interfered with her personal breakfast. The entire interaction was embarrassing, unprofessional, and incredibly disrespectful. The issue wasn't the food. It wasn't the seat. It was the astonishing sense of entitlement and complete lack of customer service displayed by someone whose job is to provide hospitality. If employees want designated dining areas, management should provide them. What should never happen is a customer being publicly singled out and treated like an inconvenience for using a seat intended for patrons. Needless to say, I left without ordering. I will not be returning, and I will be sharing this experience with others. Poor service is one thing. Being openly mocked and confronted for sitting in an available customer seat is another level entirely. This restaurant already struggled with mediocre service. After this experience, it has earned something far worse: a reputation for making customers feel unwelcome.
