For the area this was the best meal we had while visiting hot springs. They close at 8 and we walked in at 7:54 and the nice lady still took our order. We are so grateful for that. We had the Cajun shrimp pasta and a salad and the food was good.

A quaint little country place that serves good sweet tea and some home cooking. There aren't many places in Warm Springs that do so this was a very welcomed find for us!

Such a great roadside diner. Pies are delicious and if your lucky you can get one or two to go. You will be glad you did, you have to be wanting to come here if your not fortunate enough to live nearby this clean, well ran eatery. Catfish is so good and served up crispy and hot, with a side of tarter sauce. Save room for peanut butter pie, my grandma always said after poking my belly before a meal, "Better not forget, that's where your pie goes!" So glad to get to return, eat local. If ya gotta drive to get there ....do it, drive.

What a great diner! We really enjoyed our breakfast here. The pancakes were perfect, fluffy but with yummy crispy edges. Their homemade biscuits were a favorite with our group. Definitely would return the next time we're in the area. The staff were very friendly too!

It is a diner. Normal selection of wraps, sandwiches and soups. Food was okay as was service. Annoying they are closed for breakfast on most days so did not try that though did bike once to find it closed. Still not a bad choice if looking for an Affordable lunch or if go on Thursday, Friday and Saturday grab a breakfast.

Beef and broccoli with green beans and pasta salad

Working in the area for another week so I stopped here again for dinner. This time I decided on the beef and broccoli stir fry. Service is quick, food was hot and cooked perfectly. They close at 8pm so get there early. Good for children too. Small salad bar if you prefer. So much food I carried half of it back for lunch the next day. Lots of local folks come by for takeout. Keep in mind that they are closed Sunday and Monday.

Parmesan trout with fries and green beans. Rolls too.

What a nice local eatery! Nothing fancy here, just local diner fare. Very reasonable prices and we were happy to get away from The Homestead for an evening. Basket of rolls to start. I had trout with parmesan (and fries and green beans). Food was well done and we had a lot to eat! The trout had a very good flavor. It's a good option to go here since there are very few places to eat in the Warm Springs area.

We were in Bath County for a few days and heard some good things about the food at "Country Cafe" from people who live there, so decided to try it. I am glad we did. At lunch I chose their regular cheeseburger (1/4 pound) and added an order of french fries. The burger was hand-patted, cooked well, was juicy, and had a good flavor. The french fries were also very good, as was the sweet tea, which was brewed and sweetened perfectly. My husband ordered their fried catfish, which came with a choice of a baked potato or french fries, along with a side order of coleslaw. The catfish was fresh and they batter dip it themselves before they fry it. He said that it was some of the best fried catfish that he had ever had -- very moist and delicious, not the least bit over cooked. We ordered the coconut custard pie and coconut cream pie to go, to eat later. I will say we did not like either of those pies. The coconut custard pie had too much nutmeg and not enough coconut (really not much of a coconut flavor). The coconut cream pie was very unusual and the crust was actually pressed, sweetened grated coconut (bag-type) -- not a true pastry crust, nor did it have the typical filling or a meringue topping. I do not believe either of these pies were home made and both were overly sweet and flavorless. The next day we went to Country Cafe for breakfast. I had sausage gravy over one biscuit (children's size) and my husband had scrambled eggs, ham and toast (pics below). Breakfast was good. The prices were reasonable and the food was good, except for those pies. If there again, before ordering a dessert, I will make sure to ask specific details about the desserts.

My 6yo daughter had the waffles, I got the twoseez which was basically toast, scrambled eggs and bacon (which said daughter took), pre-teen son had a bagel sandwich, and wife had an omelette. My wife's omelette was extremely flavorful. What really made it wonderful was the owner's kindness and honesty. Knowing we were tourists asked us what we planned on doing and when mentioning the near by safari park, he said "oh don't play to feed the animals" which was exactly what we needed our kids to hear because two week prior the kids had a field trip to a petting zoo and my daughters class including her all got sick and I didn't want a repeat of that on our vacation... so thank you dude. But also he gave some insider info on where else to go around and that was also appreciated.

Definitely recommend if you're looking for soup, sammies or sweets.

Totally understandable and happy to comply with the dress code. Our waiter started off wonderfully and then basically disappeared! We were only offered one round of drinks and really thirsty for another, but never asked and could not get anyone's attention to order a second round or even a third round. Our water glasses were never filled. I ordered soup and salad as my main and my salad never showed up. No apologies no nothing. We were just told that breakfast is served in the morning. I thought he was going to tell us the breakfast was complementary since the service was so crappy but no! He didn't seem to notice. Unfortunately, I have to say this restaurant is like putting pig on a lipstick. The dining room is very pretty and the menu is well curated but nothing actually was what it appeared to be. The service staff are not well trained and it shows. The cauliflower in Panna cotta was very delicious. Everything else was very mid. The bill was extremely expensive. Absolute pass. Really ticked me off that they were so strict on the dress code, but everything fell down from there. Would not recommend.

When we checked in we asked about dinner and were informed that on Fridays there is only a prime rib buffet for like $60 per person. I don't eat that much red meat and I really don't eat Prime Rib so we cancelled that reservation. I was irritated bc I felt the concierge should've told my husband there was this limited menu buffet when he booked it considering they knew he was booking for a couple with a small child. Big fail there. We dined here twice for breakfast during our stay at the hotel. They have a large breakfast buffet for around $39 per person which has most of the items from the a la carte breakfast menu (but not all of them, like an acai bowl and eggs Benedict. The breakfast buffet was just OK. For a hotel that bills itself as luxury - this was not it. Pastries were sub par with nothing specialty and the banana bread or whatever the flavor they had was hard and not fresh. The warm foods were better with a nice omelette station that had LONG lines. Husband ordered an egg white bc he had his gallbladder removed years ago and eggs irritate his stomach, they said OK but it was not egg white after he waited 20 minutes for it. Only one option for milk and it was whole, which was great for our baby but not so much for us. Only two cereal options and the grits/oatmeal were slimy. Service was horrible the first day - literally no one came ever to clear plates or ask how things were after dropped off coffee. The second morning, service was much better. Still, not worth the inflated buffet price and the food was at best 3 stars.
