Diamond in the rough . Unexpected find. Had gps set for another large breakfast location. Saw sign from interstate. Home cooked breakfast sounds great. Delightfully superb. Wait staff very friendly.

This cute cafe is definitely a hole in the wall/mom & pop! Very comfy & everyone minds their own. It didn't take long for one of the hosts to seat us, they were very respectful. You can tell the employees are always on good mode, they came to work! Our waiter was very calm, but he did mess up my father's order. He also forgot my father's coffee. Nothing crazy tho! Still enjoyed every bit of the food, the ambiance and the good customer service! You can pay with cash or card here! I will like to also say, VERY AFFORDABLE! Good food for a good price!(:

This is a small location with very friendly service. It is a local country café that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at extremely reasonable prices. Mostly we saw were locals there. They had a huge Mexican menu, which was surprising and everything we ordered was very, very good. As appetizers, we ordered the mozzarella stick and cheese fries, which were good, even though they did not have marinara sauce for the sticks. My soon to be daughter-in-law, had the taco meat shell salad, which was awesome with the big mound of yummy taco meat. The only thing it probably needed was sour cream. My son ordered beef fajitas, which he loved, just note they do not come with shredded cheese. My husband ordered the grilled pork chops with rice and 2 kinds of beans and a side taco that was filled halfway through the shell with meat. They are extremely generous with their food. My mother-in-law had the frilled, smothered pork chops that came with fried and grilled pork chops with grilled onions and brown gravy. She had the grilled vegetables and fried okra. Their grilled vegetables looked amazing. It was zucchini, squash, and carrots. And I had the smothered , chicken with grilled onions and mushrooms, Swiss cheese and brown gravy, side salad (only lettuce and a tomato slice) and mashed potatoes. They do have a drive for pick up orders, which is going to be extremely convenient for us when we are bringing my mother-in-law dinner.

Food great price big portions, staff sweet , mom and pop food. Not to fancy but worth it

Ham and cheese omelet with home fries!!! And biscuit and gravy

So I saw some negative posts for this cafe but also positive posts too-so I thought I would try this cafe a try so very glad I did !! It is a family owned restaurant-and nothing fancy but a good cafe . I had the ham and cheeses omelet -with tomatoes, onion, and green peppers which very good and large.I loved the home fries-that were seasoned just right. Biscuits and gravy was also good- I could not believe how inexpensive my meal was considering the good out was and the large portions.I could not eat it all but I tried!! My waitress was excellent and checked on me several times throughout my meal filling my my coffee cup as needed-

Man, I just love a good breakfast. Oh, pardon me, a good country breakfast!

I don't think this place qualifies as a hole in the wall. It's more the 1960's cafe that is so good it's still here. Hell, I think some of the customers that were there were from the 1960's. Yes, it's got the brown wood paneling we all remember. It's got the faded white drop ceiling that all cafe's from that time period still have. Most of the customers were old enough than Mikey and I fit right in! And they treated us just like family! The breakfast menu was big. I told her, bring me the everything plate! And she did! The food was delicious. Just as good as Grandma's, maybe better! Sorry Grandma! Everything, eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, sausage was absolutely perfect. I was stuffed and pig out happy. Now, the good news. Our 2 meals together was less than $10. I was floored. That left room for a really big tip for a really good waitress. Thanks Country Cafe. We will be back!

DFW is massive. My friend was 30 mins late, but I wasn't trippin. I used that time to charge my phone and get a little work done. We didn't have a resy, but were seated right away. First of all, this place is massive. We both started with the espresso martini before realizing they had a happy hour menu. Our second drink was from the hh menu even though we had no business having a second cocktail. To start, we shared the fried green tomatoes. For whatever reason, we both ended up getting the western burger. Food was great. There was so much of it that I was only able to finish half and ended up taking the rest home. Great service as well. The place was crowded by the time we left. We only planned to stay for 45 minutes, but ended up staying for nearly 2 hours. Big thanks to the bartender. I went back to the airport a little tipsy after 2 drinks.

Clearly a popular spot. We shared an appetizer, a steak, sides, and a dessert between us 3. - Fried Tomatoes (appetizer): not bad! Light, not greasy at all, and that savory sauce on top was yummy: - Wagyu Tomahawk: the star of the show. Loved the peppered crust which was full of flavor. Not a true "Japanese wagyu" texture, but still an excellent steak overall. - Sides (mashed potatoes, fries, broccolini, cornbread): All pretty good across the board. I liked the cornbread the most and wished there was more of it. Usually a side of cornbread is much more substantial and comes with honey butter. - Steak sauce: we ask for a side of this. Whatever they had was unique and great. Fruity and tangy, a great complement to the tomahawk. - Pecan Pie: look at the photo! A huge, tall slice. No notes. Loved the dense ice cream on top. Perfect way to end the meal. Overall: no critiques, just an all-around great dinner. Definitely recommend the tomahawk and pie.

After I left a review, the manager, Amanda Stewart, reached out personally, inviting me to call and share the details. Amanda, though new to the company, has years of industry experience and truly understands the value of great service. She apologized repeatedly and invited us back. We returned this past Thursday, and it was a complete turnaround. Amanda made sure we felt valued, and Damien, our server, was phenomenal. The food was spot-on, and the entire experience left us with a much brighter outlook. We will absolutely be returning. Thank you, Amanda, and thank you, Damien, for making it right.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.

I had a show I was as attending at the Irving convention Center and wanted to grab a bite to eat prior to the show. I walked around, looking for places that were open, and this was the only place I found within a reasonable walking distance. As we entered the restaurant, it was a really nice place. Corey, who I believe was the Manager on Duty greeted us warmly and guided us through the menu. We made our selections and when I went to the restroom to wash my hands I noticed a whole other world...an amazing event space that is kind of part of the restaurant. It had a stage, a green room, multiple bars and a really neat space and seating. After my tour, my Eggs Benedict were ready and were they ever delicious!

Located in Irving-Las Colinas's Toyota Music Factory, it's a perfect place to grab coffee and a bite to eat. This location has quickly become one of my favorite spots at TMF. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - It's a cozy, welcoming space that will draw your attention to the wall with all the menu items. Assorted pastries and grab & go bites sit behind the glass counter leading to where you place your order. There are tons of assorted seating, from booths to even an alcohol\coffee bar. And when you come for lunch, the aroma from their wood fired grill fills the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is great. You place your order, get a number, and the food is delivered to you. On my visit, the one lone staffer was taking a long To Go order over the phone. The manager noticed and quickly came to take our order. This is great awareness and service! 1 Star. Food - I love coming here for lunch because of the grill. On this visit, I went with the beef kabobs and brussels sprouts with sweet chili sauce. First, the kabob was some of the most tender beef I've ever had. Is was soft, perfectly grilled, and paired well with the grilled bell peppers and onions. Never underestimate the depth of flavor from a wood fired grill. But the star of my dish was the brussels sprouts with sweet chili sauce. The tender brussels sprouts were great, but oh my that sweet chili sauce was incredible. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. While Kitchen 101 has a huge menu, the items I've ordered have been a hit. I'll be back for those brussels sprouts and weekend brunch. 1 Star.

It was SOOOO LOUD though. just so many people and loud. Hard to have a conversation. Got the crab cake salad ($34). The crab cake itself was legit. Tried one of the sushi rolls and it was interesting that they added some olive oil and citrus?? when it wasn't specified on the menu at all.. I liked the roll though. It will run you $20+ for one. It's big but I also feel like you would need to order a side if you wanted to make that your main entree. And paying for 2 sushi rolls at that price point is steep. I continue to be impressed by the service and the food. And when you combine this with the beautiful spring weather in Texas (March), it's one of the best experiences in all of DFW. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - If you haven't been to Water Street, go now while the weather is nice (March or October). I'm writing this review in March when the Texas weather is beautiful. While the inside of Pacific Table is elegant with blue booths and white tablecloths, the outdoor seating next to Lake Carolyn creates a view that's almost impossible to find in DFW: fine dining by the water. 1 Star. Service - The service is great. Our server was attentive, helpful, and best of all shared the special of the day. I always ask my server because when they recommend an excellent dish, it means the restaurant puts in the effort to enable them. Mission accomplished. 1 Star. Food - I went with Pacific Table's special of the day: blackened redfish with creole sauce and a vegetable. WOW. This dish was a homerun. The fish was tender, well-seasoned, and the sauce added a creamy component that reminded me of the bayou. As a bonus, my sauteed spinach that I chose as my side was equally delicious. If I wasn't dining in public, I would have licked my plate. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. Every time I eat at Pacific Table, I try something new and am pleasantly surprised. The combination of service, specials, and amazing Texas spring weather makes this a repeatable restaurant in my rotation. 1 Star.

It was a treat for me to finally visit a Texas Roadhouse restaurant!…read more Yeah, da 808 is kinda behind da times, as we don't have Texas Roadhouse out here, but we got Outback Steakhouse in da 808. Lol! So Tuesday night Carrollton got hit with a storm. Heavy rain, lightening, & thunder. I asked my coworkers if they wanted to head out to dinner, but it appeared that da fella's weren't down wid' it. Luckily, my Big Island coworker was also in Texas the same time I was here, so I reached out to him to see if he was down........sure enough, he was. When in Texas, I guess ya gotta have Texas BBQ at least once.......and being that I have worked in Texas numerous times, I've had more than my share of BBQ Ribs & Brisket in the past. Upon deciding on where to go, we ended up at - Texas Roadhouse in Irving. The Tuesday night we came here, even through the bad weather, the restaurant was still packed! The wait for a table was minimum, and upon getting seated, service was instantanious. I think I was still recovering from the previous night from Japan House, so I didn't want to eat a whole bunch of food. Upon looking over the menu, I ended up with just a BBQ Chicken Sandwich w/Fries. As for my Big Island coworker, he went for da gusto and got a BBQ Ribs & Steak plate. What can I say about the grub? I really enjoyed my BBQ Chicken Sandwich! It was a bit messy with all that sauce, but that's what napkins are for! Lol! Very generous serving of food, and I managed to down all of my sandwich, but left most of my fries behind, as it was just too much food. As for my coworker, he destroyed his BBQ Ribs & Steak plate. I was so happy he enjoyed his meal, as two days before I took him to another restaurant where he ordered a similar combo, but left a lot of food behind (I think his meal wasn't too good at the other restaurant). One more thing about Texas Roadhouse...........have you ever tried the complimentary rolls? Oh my!!!! Da buggah is Winnah's! Overall a wonderful dining experience, and should I ever return to Texas, ya better bookmark Texas Roadhouse on the places to visit for BBQ.

In fact, some of these restaurants in Dallas need some customer service training for sure. We had a very simple check in and we were quoted a 15 min wait for three people. Not even 5 minutes later, we were texted to come back, the we waited another 5 minutes before we were seated. Our server was so nice and she was helpful in selecting our food and giving recommendations. She also was very attentive without being overbearing. Our food was cooked very well and even the salad was super tasty. My friend said it was the best salad he's ever had, lol. The steak was done well and onion blossom was good. I had a good experience dining here and would definitely come back. Splitting our checks was also very simple, our server had no problem with it and it was all done on a tablet after. Thank you Texas Roadhouse for a great dinner!
