I've been to country charm before but never alone. I decided that I wanted to go and try the fried Cod dinner, which comes with soup or salad, your choice of potato (French fries, waffles fries and mashed potatoes) and you as get veggies medley. I got the southwestern tortilla soup which I had to let it cool off, because it was so hot you could see the steam coming off it. As I finished my soup, the waitress brings out my cod dinner. And let me know she will be back with my veggie medley. Everything was steaming hot but very delicious. They serve breakfast and lunch from 6am through 3 pm. If you want to see the menu go on their website. My meal cost $15.99 and I got a lot of food. I didn't catch the name of waitress but she very good, never asked for any refills and she even thanked me for coming.

If you want a roach with your breakfast, this is the place at least have your people hide the stuff not have it just laying there on the floor in the bathroom pretty sad I won't be coming there anymore

While in the area for a concert, I stopped by this diner for a hearty breakfast and left feeling full and satisfied. I came with my husband and two friends. My husband and I shared the Triple Berry Blintzes and the Country Benny. Both were delicious, and we had good service. It was fairly busy, and we had to wait outside for a table, but it probably only took around 10-15 minutes which isn't bad for a Sunday morning at 10:30 AM. Definitely a great diner breakfast with quick and friendly service and affordable prices.

Thankfully, Maple House Café on Lincoln Highway was open--and it absolutely did not disappoint. I should note that the restaurant is bigger on the inside than it appears from the front. Very spacious, warm and inviting. The restaurant was pretty busy when we arrived, but we were seated almost immediately in a cozy spot by the window. The atmosphere was very pleasant...dining room was clean, bright, peaceful, and comfortable, with plenty of natural light that made the atmosphere very comfortable without feeling noisy or chaotic. The food was outstanding. My daughter is a picky eater, so when she RAVES about her food I know folk are doing something right. She loved the eggs so much that she cleaned her plate, and she also really enjoyed the house-made sausage patties. She was okay with her pancake but kept reaching over to steal bites of my cream cheese-stuffed French toast topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. It was sweet without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated. It struck a perfect balance. I ordered lightly scrambled eggs with feta, and they prepared them exactly the way I like them. I also ordered the sausage links and was surprised when three huge, perfectly seasoned links arrived on the plate. They were delicious. The portions here are incredibly generous. In fact our delightful server brought a fresh fruit waffle to our table by mistake, and told us to keep it on the house. So glad she did cuz that waffle was ...crisp on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Everyone we encountered from the hosts to our server to the staff clearing tables were all genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive. Considering they were spending part of their holiday serving others instead of being with family, their positive attitudes made an even bigger impression. My daughter was also happy about the strawberry lollipop she got on the way out, which was, for her, the perfect ending to a great breakfast. Great food, generous portions, a welcoming atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommend Maple House Café and will definitely be back.

It has a pretty strange location that makes it seem out of place. Just don't judge it until you go in. The prices are pretty okay for being coffee that's local and independently owned. Basically the coffee is the main thing of course. It's got kind of a small selection but they only make the best stuff. There's the basics like the lattes and a few of the specialties too. Actually can be good to not be too complicated. It's about $5 to get a specialty coffee, which isn't that bad to be honest. Also has bags of coffee beans to go. The last time in here I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. Like drinking cereal. They also have a few pastries. It's about $2 for a croissant. The Vegan Curved Croissant is one of these. Fluffy and still has a buttery flavor. There's also a few breakfast sandwiches. Finding it can be complicated. It's located in a building on Schoolhouse Road. There's also a pizza place in the same location so after going here you can go there.

My two complaints for this past visit would be that my martini really pretty much sucked.... super sweet, tasted like Kool-aid and no taste of booze and the red velvet cake that i ordered was, in my opionion, should have been thrown out. It actually tasted more like rasberry cake instead of red velvet but it was very stale. I took two bites and tossed the rest. However, I won't let that deter me from coming again.
