Happened in this place by complete random chance and I'm very glad I did! I was looking for a craft beer place and was directed to the place next door to Country Deli, Buffalo City Jug Shop (worth a stop as well!), and while walking in I saw a car in the parking lot with a Country Deli Grateful Dead "Steal Your Face" sticker and commented how cool I thought it was. When walking out of Buffalo City I noticed that next door was Country Deli, my initial plan was just to go in a get the sticker. However, upon opening the door, the smell was overwhelmingly amazing! I knew I had to return! On Friday, my last opportunity, I made sure I did not leave the OBX without a Country Deli sandwich. They did not disappoint! I got the Manhandler (it is HUGE) to split with my mom who joined me and we both only ate about half of each of our half and ended up taking the rest back to my father. All of us loved it! What an awesome sandwich, nice people, and I loved the Grateful Dead theme logo! Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for a non-seafood option when dining in the Nags Head/Kill Devil Hills area! read more

We are regulars at Country Deli. We found this great place about 7 years ago. With the staff, the best and freshest food, kindness and love from the owners, and cleanliness - we won't eat anywhere else for a delish sandwich. The prices are phenomenal with the amount of food you get from this place. Our favorites are the wrights brother and the cheesesteak. The desserts are amazing!! Do yourself a favor, skip Subway and eat local! PLENTY of sandwiches to choose from; grab one to share and take to the beach or save leftovers for later. There are always leftovers. Prices may seem steep for a sandwich but for the quality and volume of meat- you're paying the right amount. They close at 4pm and wait time is about 15 minutes so order ahead. They also offer delivery (appeared to be about 45 minute wait time for this). Stopped in for lunch, they were doing a decent walk in business as well as pickup. The place really has no seating inside to speak of but there are plenty of benches outside if you want to stay there and eat. The subs were good size and packed with meat, the reubens were quite good and they have an impressive menu of standard deli meats and specialty sandwiches. I was just in Nags Head for a week and we ordered delivery from Country Deli four times for lunch. Over the course of the week I had "The Red Baron", "Bill's Special", "The Killer" and their cheese steak sub. All of them were exceptional! The delivery time was always around 15-20 minutes which was always surprisingly fast. We got to the point where we were wondering how they could make such amazing sandwiches with such simple ingredients. I highly recommend Country Deli for an amazing lunch after a morning on the beach. It really hits the spot. The sandwiches are big, delicious and very reasonably priced. The next time I'm in Nags Head I'm definitely ordering again! I'm craving a Country Deli sandwich right now and am quite sad that I'm 180 miles away. read more

Wow our lunch was amazing!!! My husband had the man handler and it was just that to much to handle it was so good!!! Didn't even eat the chips the sandwiches were so filling! I had the BLT and it wasn't some lean 2 pieces of bacon lol it was the greatest BLT with good quality tomato and bacon in every bite! They even added muenster so I had a BLTC.
