My book club reserved a spot here for our May gathering, and I highly recommend it if you have a club meeting or even a fun spot for a small shower or girls night! It's really large inside and they can accommodate larger groups but they have smaller tables, bar seating, and outdoor seating too. We were able to bring our own food in, a whole cooler of stuff! We saw people bring in food from nearby restaurants and food delivered from restaurants. I love that we can bring that in, it makes for whatever kind of experience you want instead of sticking to a menu. They have bar service and wait staff for drinks, a QR code menu, and table card menus with specials. I thought it was hilarious they have a shot of the night, it's so not the place I'd imagine taking a shot, haha. They have wine bottles for purchase and they serve it in a bucket of ice to chill. I opted for a bottle of rosé since they didn't have a single glass rosé. It was probably the best choice because a couple drinks would have been the same price as buying the bottle for $25. I ended up splitting it with a friend so it worked out perfectly. read more

Stopped by with family while they were visiting and I was excited to finally check this place out! The atmosphere was absolutely adorable, and they had live music! The bartenders were very friendly they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and took the time to explain how everything works since none of us had been there before. We visited on a Saturday night so it was pretty busy, but we managed to snag a table yay! I decided to try the Blueberry Lemon Fizz but honestly it wasn't my favorite, it tasted more like lemon water than anything else. I have never left reviews for businesses other than to celebrate them, but months have gone by since an incident at Twisted Vine and I still think about it, so thought I'd share. My mother was visiting from Arizona and I couldn't wait to show her Twisted Vine and downtown Papillion. We stopped in early (around 5 or 6pm) before grabbing dinner at Grace Pizzeria. I had my daughter (asleep in her car seat) with me, and it was one of the first times we had gotten out of the house and gone out to eat (she was about 5 months old). I also had my husband and mother-in-law with me. We planned to have one drink and head to dinner. The bar isn't loud, and it was early, and since my daughter was snoozing, I thought we could get away with one quick drink. Had there been an issue with my sleeping baby being with us, I figured someone would say something nicely when walked in, or when we sat down, or when we ordered our drinks. Which would have been totally fine, had they been kind about it. But no. Everything seemed great. I wanted to show off the place I really enjoyed coming to previously, and kept telling my mom, "Isn't this so cute?" We cheerfully ordered our drinks and we would have been ready to pay within about 15 minutes of arriving, so we could head to dinner. However, less than 5 minutes after we were served our drinks, a worker (it seemed to be the manager?) came to our table and said we had to leave because no kids were allowed in an extremely judgmental tone. We laughed truly thinking she was joking with us, and then realized she was serious. My baby was asleep, not running around or making any noise at all. I would have understood if she showed any kindness or apology for not telling us sooner. No smile, no offer to comp our drinks we just received and couldn't finish, no customer service AT ALL. We just said "Okay," took one last sip of our drinks, and left. No argument, no pushback. We aren't the type to cause a scene and we took it on the chin. But we walked out in disbelief because of the way it was handled - the way we were treated. As a struggling new mom, I felt so ashamed and embarrassed, and haven't been back since. It was an awful experience that shouldn't have been. We would have been happy to leave had there been even an ounce of kindness in asking us to go. Instead, it felt like we (the happy, paying customers) had broken some rule we didn't know about and were banished from the bar. We all felt deflated and shocked by the treatment and it left a bad taste in our mouths the rest of our night. I had been several times before this incident, but I certainly won't be back. The inside has beautiful wood floors and is nicely decorated. They also have a good sized patio out back with fire pits. The drink menu features a large selection of wine, beer, and cocktails to choose from. Seasonal cocktails tend to be on the menu which are always unique and creative. Prices can vary on drinks. Cocktail prices are fair, but I do wish some of the house wines were slightly cheaper. You can also bring your furry friend on their patio! I have been here a couple times to grab a drink.. Walking in it looks like a awesome little wine/craft store. with tables at the back and a nice small little bar with beers on tap and friendly staff. In the middle there are some couches that circle up for a nice little conversation area. Then off to the side are some doors where people do that painting and wine thing. I have never done it, but I have sat at a high top and had some bottles of wine with some friends. The prices are very reasonable. It's obviously a place with a loyal, local following - young parents with babies, families with elementary/middle schools kids, and lots of school moms with husbands in tow. With limited food options, you can bring in your own snacks, whether it's pizza from a local establishment or bag of chips from your cupboard. With different seating options, you can play a game at a table or relax in one of the armchair conversation areas. There's also an outdoor patio out back. A limited, but decent selection, of tap beers available. Wines by the glass and by the bottle. A self-serve water station to keep you hydrated. Service is slow, so be prepared to adopt a more chill attitude. Twisted Vine has certainly found its niche in the suburbs with the right combination of location, atmosphere and clientele. It's not for everybody, but I think they're OK with that. read more

They carried good wines in a reasonable price range (about $20 avg) without the pretention associated with some wine places. The owner is knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I paid $10 for a glass of Cab. It was not ten dollar Cab; eight bucks absolutely tops. They had NO cheese. How can that be? Given the wine, I was probably lucky in that respect. We love Twisted Vine. It's one of the very first places we visited after moving to Papillion 2 years ago. We came on a lovely June evening and sat on the back patio. We chatted with very friendly patrons and just enjoyed good drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. Since then, we've been many times. This is a great spot for after dinner, before dinner, to hang out and play music bingo, or really for anything. It's usually a more relaxed atmosphere during the week, but kicks it up with regular live music and other events. Both the wine and beer selections are fantastic. What a hidden gem! My cousin got married recently, and had her wedding party come here to paint. It was also the in-between stop suggested after the wedding but before the reception while folks were taking pictures and such. My family and I stopped in during that window to grab a glass of wine until the reception started. We were all starving already, so we ordered a cheese board which was excellent, and were all able to find great wines by the glass. And of course, one of the things we miss most about not living in NE anymore, the Husker game was on! There isn't a whole lot of seating, but it wasn't busy when we went in, so it worked out for us. In addition to the wine bar, they have a lot of local artwork for sale. It's a really cool little space and the service was super friendly and attentive. Great wine bar. I've been here a few times with my wife. Excellent wine selection with a lot of options that you can't get anywhere else. This is also a great place to pick up a unique gift or two as several local artist/craftsmen have their items for sale in the shop. The group art sessions look like a lot of fun. Add in a very welcoming host, owner Bill. Finish with a very affordable wine list, stocked with many names you may not know (but through which Bill will happily guide you to a good choice.). Had a bottle of wine and a cheese plate (very solid) in a delightful venue for... Under fifty bucks? Crazy! And yes, oh yes, we will be back. read more
