Although there are many other shops in the area, the customer service at this establishment has kept me coming back. They feature a good number of Purity's hard ice cream flavors as well as soft serve treats. You can't go wrong with a double scoop of Madigan Mint or, my personal favorite, a Boomberry milkshake. I visited your ice cream shop recently and wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience…read more While your ice cream is quite good, the customer service fell far short of what is acceptable. My group stood in line at the second window after the first one was taking a long time, only to watch multiple people get served elsewhere while we were ignored. When we moved back to the first window, the second one suddenly opened. When I calmly mentioned this confusion, the employee working--who identified herself as Tessa--became defensive, rushed our order aggressively ("what else, what else, what else"), and then loudly talked about me right in front of me, telling someone else that I was "freaking out" and claiming that window only opens when it's busy (even though there was clearly a line). She also made a point to mention that the interaction was recorded on camera. As someone who runs an organization where customer service is our number one priority, this was a disappointing display of a lack of emotional intelligence and basic hospitality. A simple acknowledgment of the confusion or a polite apology would have instantly resolved the situation. Additionally, if there is a specific rule about when the second window is supposed to open, there really needs to be a clear sign posted. Given how many out-of-town visitors you receive, relying on unwritten rules only leads to frustrated customers. I hope you will use this as a coaching opportunity for Tessa on de-escalation and customer relations.

I turned around and went down the street and found this little shop. Just before I went in this little shop, I smelled a wonderful smell. It smelled like ribs on a smoker. I turned and saw a large smoker on the back of a truck and a gentleman next to the truck happen to be the owner of the shop. Big Mike was his name. I asked about the smoker. He said he and his do some catering as well. Mike invited me into the shop. Got me a cup of coffee and chatted with me for a little bit of time. The coffee was awesome. They had breakfast sandwiches other things there as well but I had already eaten. I will be stopping back to try a snack, and especially to get more coffee. Big Mike was awesome. I took his card so that I could possibly ask him to do some catering at some point. This place is worth your stop whether it be baked treats, coffee, or ice cream. As the menu look great. So if you're planning your visit around cow sightings, maybe call ahead and ask, "Are the cows out tonight?" Totally normal question. As for the ice cream, it's definitely worth the hype. We got the Fruity Pebbles flavor, which was creamy and nostalgic in the best way. My girlfriend found it a little too milky for her taste, but I loved how rich and dairy-forward it was. The cereal bits gave that perfect crunchy finish. All in all, whether you're in it for the ice cream or just hoping for cows, Frosty Cow is a fun little stop worth checking out.

(Jul 2026) We had to try their ice cream bars: homemade lemon chocolate chip ice cream, with a coat of crumbled lemon cookies, half-dipped in homemade dark-chocolate shell! Clever and delicious! We also had a dish of homemade Blueberry Guava sorbet! Intense red-purple color and sweet frozen flavor! Great summer treats! We ate faster than they melted :-)

I am partial to soft serve but have tried both their hard icecream and soft serve. I prefer their soft serve but wish they had more flavors. I tried the classic chocolate twist and the two berry twist soft serves. In the two berry twist, I didn't like the pink flavor- it was too icy and more like a sorbet/dole whip than true soft serve. I liked the purple flavor thought! Overall, I still frequent Sweet Melissa's for softserve close to Cornell! Would recommend!
