Given the name, quality/quantity of ingredients (so much caviar/truffle!!) along with the meticulous execution of the dishes, this felt like a reasonable price. Our favorites were the "Oysters & Pearls", "Calotte de Boeuf", and Aged Parmegiano Reggiano "Gnocchi". For each of these dishes, the flavors were impeccably decadent with extraordinary notes of both savory & creamy. The oysters were impossibly creamy with absolutely zero critique; captured the ocean but somehow none of the grit or saltiness that comes with it. The meat was perfect with an exceptionally tender texture; this was the first time I had red meat that felt like sashimi. The gnocchi was just the right amount of tough exterior and mushy soft interior producing the best mouthfeel I've ever had. If you aren't sure if you want to go, let me say this isn't the best deal in the world for a meal. You are paying a premium for the name here but it was worth it for us to experience the history of The French Laundry. If you want a meal you will remember with an unbelievable reputation, this is exactly where you want to go. Our only minor critique is that we called this a honeymoon celebration but we didn't get much of a honeymoon feel. I'd recommend drawing a heart in one of the desserts with pastry or chocolate just to get that feel. The birthday table near us had some fun birthday surprises but ours felt a bit lackluster for a 3-star meal.

The lush trees, gardens, and landscaping create such a whimsical, magical atmosphere before you even step inside. Once inside, you're greeted with warm smiles and an incredibly welcoming, professional staff. Watching the team move throughout the dining room was like watching a perfectly choreographed dance--every detail was seamless. Then the food arrived... wow. I was speechless. We chose the Chef's Tasting Menu, and every course--from the very first bite to the very last--was phenomenal. It was the best dining experience I've ever had. Every dish was thoughtfully and intentionally crafted, with flavors that came together to tell a story. What made it even more special was knowing that much of the produce comes directly from their beautiful garden. To top it all off, we were invited into the kitchen at the end of the meal. It was immaculate, and watching such a talented, organized team at work was incredible. If you're lucky enough to snag a reservation and want a truly once-in-a-lifetime dining experience, do it. Don't let the price tag scare you--it's worth every single penny.

The staff was attentive and caring about the details. Breakfast was beautiful every morning! There were cookies every afternoon, and there was always a bottle of wine if you wanted it. The location of this inn is very close to downtown so you don't need a car. I will return for another stay!

This Inn is walking distance to downtown which is what drew us to this location. Ve was our host and she was very nice and gave us a short tour around the place. I was confused because we were told we could use the heated pool and then, when we went to go use it, there were multiple signs saying it's closed. The walls are thin, you can hear everything occurring in the hallway. Our room needed love. There was lots of dust build up, the television was extremely small, and the bed frame was very flimsy. The mattress was also quite hard and it was difficult to sleep throughout the night. I was looking forward to the speakeasy but it was closed throughout our stay. I'm not sure if it's closed for good or just wasn't open when I was there. There was no information given about it. We went out and came back to the Inn around 8 pm, there was an empty bottle of wine and dirty glasses sitting around the entrance area. I'm not sure if that was due to available tastings at the Inn or if someone just left it out because we were not informed of tasting offerings at the Inn. Breakfast was served between 8-10 and it was soggy French toast, warm yogurt and room temperature orange juice. All in all, I would not stay here again and I would choose to stay farther away at a nicer place.

The breakfast service and food was incredible and we loved having our coffee delivered earlier (and then more coffee at breakfast time). The wine happy hour with lots of wine options and our own veggie and dips platter was delicious and fun too. We met other great guests and loved our stay. We'd also walk to downtown for meals and exploring which was a great walk and most of the exercise I got on this vacation... While we were there and planning our next trip back, we heard that they're unfortunately closing for 6+ months in 2025 since they have new owners. I really hope the same charm and all the special detail comes back to this spot when they re-open (and hope they're not closed for long!)!

We stayed in the Alexander Valley Suite to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It has a large tub in the room that comfortably fits two and overlooks the romantic fireplace. It also has a comfortable king sized bed. Definitely a perfect room for a special occasion. A full breakfast is offered every morning and you get to select where to dine, such as the River Room (recommended), the dining room, garden patio, or even in your room. The menu selection is extensive and generous. Every evening there is a happy hour with a great selection of local wine and a snack platter that is delightful! They also serve warm chocolate chip cookies. This is an incredible to meet new people. Each night we had stimulating conversation with guests who traveled far and wide. We were late for dinner both nights because of the great discussions we had. Briana was the manager on site and she is incredible! She needs to teach a master class on hospitality. She thought of everything and was so warm and accommodating. We had a special and memorable time. The River Belle Inn goes above and beyond to create an experience you will remember and talk about for awhile. Looking forward to our next visit to River Belle Inn.

It's true that one could purchase a serviceable used car for what it costs to dine for two when including basic wine pairings. If dropping $2k on dinner and wine seems like an absurd or rapacious proposition, SingleThread certainly isn't for you. If on the other hand it seems like a rounding error or a perfectly reasonable leisure tariff, you're probably going to love every last minute of it. Because the meal was so elaborate, I won't go into detail other than to say it was brilliant. Out of the dozens (literally) of dishes we sampled, only one was poor; it had clearly been over-salted by accident. Otherwise, every moment of the evening was pure, flawless bliss. One thing that I could be persuaded to agree with is that the overall volume of food is a tad too much. They could easily do with one less savory dish and the elimination of the second round of desserts. As it stands, I walked out feeling somewhat uncomfortably full. First world problems though, right? All things considered, SingleThread is a grand slam home run in nearly every respect. And that includes the warm and highly attentive service, the lovely interior architecture, and the welcoming rooftop garden. I will not hesitate to recommend this amazing culinary oasis to friends and family for a long time to come.

When we arrived, the bed was not there and she didn't bring one, as she said it was too heavy to carry. She asked if he could sleep on the bench or on the short couch that he was longer than. So disheartening and insulting. There was no key or code for us to lock up our belongings. We had to rely on people just being honest and not stealing. We actually took valuables with us when we left for dinner. Breakfast: She had asked us what we liked and asked my son what he liked. He said he would try the stuffed French toast. She brought out the smallest plate of scrambled egg whites, ONE microwaved Eggo waffle, a slice of watermelon with some blueberries and cantaloupe. The meal he had could not satisfy a 3 year old's stomach. My husband and I had to give him a portion of our already small portion of stuffed French toast. One of the most hurtful parts of the trip was being isolated from the rest of the group during breakfast. She asked us to sit in the sunroom which is not set up for proper dining (table was too small and chairs are for lounging not eating breakfast). We felt treated like 2nd class customers, maybe because she has a problem with kids? Or, worse, a problem with my skin color or with my husband's foreign accent? We're just baffled and left to wonder. She didn't suggest that any other guest be isolated to the sunroom for dining. If I could give 0 stars for service, I would. Again, location is great, but courtesy and customer service not even close to meeting the bar. The average rating is completely unjustified and misleading.

Sound: We had one of the front rooms and the busy road noise is loud. Also, we could hear everything from our neighbor including them snoring. 2. I asked for an amenity for the birthday celebration and we were promised something waiting. I had to ask again and we ended up with two pieces of chocolate. I've paid a lot less for hotels that have included way better birthday amenities. 3. The room is nice but nothing exceptional. 4. Smores hour is cute but the smores are definitely stale. 5. I dropped something behind the tub and it was clear things had not been cleaned back there. Everything else was very clean, and that is important to me. 6. The restaurant is overrated. Go to other spots for the vibe and food. The pros: 1. I absolutely love the connections that this hotel has to wineries and wine tasting. We would come back just for this as staying at farmhouse gets you exceptional service at the partner wineries. This is what makes it special! 2. The wine happy hour hosts were also great. Special shoutout to freeman who was extra sweet to us. 3. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The service really stands out and brings this hotel up to 4 stars. 4. The lobby cat is very cute!

Don't know what it was but it frustrated us immensely. Also, we try to be conscious of not having our room cleaned every day, so we asked for every other day, which in the time we stayed there worked out to be only once. They made the bed and left towels. They did not clean or replace the water glasses we used or the coffee cups and did not refill the coffee creamers in the room. The patio was lovely, but the chairs they had to sit on are torture devices. Metal bands for the seat were so uncomfortable. We had to take small pillows from the room to sit on. I'm sure we're not the first. Would we stay there again? No.
