That is farm-to-table at its finest. On one of our visits, we stayed in a suite above the restaurant, which made the whole experience even more special. It was so nice to head upstairs after dinner and fully relax in our own space. Our room was stocked with thoughtful treats upon arrival, and we had access to the most beautiful private gym. The pool area is stunning, and we loved riding the bikes they provide to explore the property. I would absolutely stay here again. Everywhere you go, there's curated art to enjoy, which adds such a unique and elevated touch. They also host special events throughout the year. We especially love their summer movie nights, lounging on the lawn with fresh popcorn, wine, and Red Vines is such a vibe. It was clean and bright. The pool, while I didn't partake, was cute. Not resorty, but fine. There were bocce courts, fire pits, a ton of outdoor seating, a gym. The rooms were large, the bed was comfy. They offer a free shuttle to downtown (although it's only about a mile) and I even spied some bikes. The complimentary breakfast was solid - eggs, turkey sausage, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, a bunch of fixings. Across the street is a Plank Coffee, which is delightful. I also forgot a toothbrush. They sent one up and when I opened the door a little robot name Rose gave me one! CUTE! Overall, a great stay. I'd stay again.

The friendly employee told us a bit about the hotel as we were checked in and we got our keys. Our room was facing the interior courtyard as most of the rooms here are. We had a gas fireplace in the room which would come in handy during the cooler times of the year. We also had a little balcony which was great. I thought it might be a little noisy during the day or at night with people in the courtyard down below but it really wasn't an issue. The room had a nice clean bathroom with a fairly large shower. Double sinks as well which is always nice. The bed was comfortable, however when we checked in there was a large tear in one of the bed sheets. I called down to get it replaced, unfortunately housekeeping had already gone home. The front desk person offered to change the sheets for us, but we did that ourselves. The hotel has some wine tasting nights, though I'm not really sure how consistent they are. We didn't partake, but it may be available. They do have self service laundry available at the sister hotel which is right across the parking lot. The detergent is sold in a vending machine near the laundry room. There is lots of parking (you need a tag displayed in your car) and you can access the rooms either by stairs or elevator. Just a little ways down from the hotel you'll find a great trail that goes into town along a little stream which I really enjoyed. I enjoyed our stay at The Lodge and would recommend it. It's in a great location with lots to do around town.

The bed and bedding were very comfy, the hotel was quiet, and the room was spacious enough. Grounds are very tidy and classy. Some small bite food options in the lobby. Reasonably priced, and about a 5 minute drive from the downtown Healdsburg area.

The most amazing example is that we had breakfast around 9 am last Saturday June 27 in the outdoor area with folding fabric "roof". We finished our breakfast and left for the day. When we returned to the hotel at 4 pm, our dishes with bits of food and used coffee cups were still sitting on the table as we had left them 7 hours earlier! At $900/nt, you might have thought the hotel staff could circulate and clear tables. But you would be wrong. Unfortunately it was common throughout the hotel to see dirty used glasses and plates lying around. After checking out, I received a survey request from the hotel "Manager" asking for feedback. I mentioned the plethora of dirty plates/glasses during our 3 night stay but no one has ever responded. Also, the staff in the spa were having extended conversations on their phone's loudspeaker which was a bit jarring. It's a pretty hotel but it needs to figure out the basics of keeping it clean and sanitary.

A full breakfast is offered every morning and you get to select where to dine, such as the River Room (recommended), the dining room, garden patio, or even in your room. The menu selection is extensive and generous. Every evening there is a happy hour with a great selection of local wine and a snack platter that is delightful! They also serve warm chocolate chip cookies. This is an incredible to meet new people. Each night we had stimulating conversation with guests who traveled far and wide. We were late for dinner both nights because of the great discussions we had. Briana was the manager on site and she is incredible! She needs to teach a master class on hospitality. She thought of everything and was so warm and accommodating. We had a special and memorable time. Our suites were next-door to each other so we were able to share happy hours and breakfasts together. The units are perfectly designed, decorated and located near restaurants, bars and shopping. Everything was spotless and well equipped. The communication process was excellent and the staff was friendly. We are already planning another trip to 235!
