    Country Home graduation.
    Brian C.

We started our oldest daughter at this Country Home in 2009 when she was just 9 months old and she attended right up until beginning kindergarten. Since starting school she has spent each major holiday (including summer) at their camps. My youngest daughter started in 2011 and has attended much the same. We attribute a lot of their skills, manners, and success in the classroom to the time they spent at Country Home. Many of the teachers they had when they first started are still teaching there and great my girls with a smile every time they come. Many are on a first name basis with us and are in tune with our milestones and specific needs. To have that kind of retention (10 years) at a daycare is rare. We've watched some employees graduate from teaching positions to management positions and seen some graduate on to other locations. We've seen employees attend college and graduate, and have been invested in their future. It's reassuring to see a company that promotes from within and values the personal relationships that are built with the children and treats that as an asset. My children like to joke that they will just apply for jobs at Country Home when they are too old to attend, and I kind of hope that they do, if only for the excuse to go back. Summer camp activities are diverse and include things like Adventure Quest, Roller Skating, Bricks and Figs Lego store, Games 2 U, Kona Ice, Swimming classes, and much more. They have 2 outdoor playgrounds and 1 indoor playground. They also have a small splash pool that I'm told is pretty great. Lollipop day (Friday) is a treat for kids that behave. This is a great and safe place to take your kids and to trust with their development. The staff take great pride in the environment they've created and it shows.

Nice facility. It has a lot of unique options like the soda shop that other daycares do not have.

He has learning differences and you have to somehow repeat commands over and over. The Maters are truly amazing. And only one month he has learned so much not about just taekwondo but about respect and listening. They truly care about him, which as a mom what can you say? I have no doubt their ability to do technique and all of the belt testing. but what I love so much is they care about my child and they want to help him be a better person. I am so incredibly grateful to this organization. How can you thank someone for helping your child be a better person? Thank you I am so grateful If you have a child that really needs direction I encourage you to send them here. Clearly is there a mission to create children that have respect and acknowledgment for a certain curriculum, of Tae Kwon Do. I can't say enough about it! In short, they are total bad ass's

The Camp is beautiful, and you know you will have a good experience from the moment you start down the drive. There are a variety of activities available for all ages. Our retreat was primarily in the pavilion, but our attendees enjoyed spreading out over the camp for our break-out sessions. It was a joy to work with the full-time staff! They are wonderful Christian people, and we loved having the staff join us at different times. They make you feel like you are part of their family. Deer Creek Camp catered all three meals for us, and the food was wonderful. The breakfast and lunch were tasty, and there were a number of options to please everyone. Our evening dinner was a nice sit-down dinner, and the food was delicious. Alma knows how to cook! The coffee and smoothie bar was also enjoyed by our couples. The drinks were delicious. The staff and the interns who served us at dinner were fabulous. They were respectful young men and women who went out of their way to make sure the meal was a pleasure for our married couples. They were obviously well-trained, as they were better than servers we have had in nice restaurants. We strongly recommend Deer Creek Camp for your retreats or other events. It is our go-to place for events for all ages.

But noticed over the years, the teacher turnover rate was INSANE. (27 teachers total, left in 2024 alone and they don't even staff that many). Every couple weeks there seemed to be new teachers. My oldest moved to kinder this August and my youngest started. In August started the largest decline of a daycare I've ever seen, multiple teachers and the best director were fired and a new one replaced her. But with that, firings continued, one teacher was rehired (who had been previously fired for multiple reason, the largest being bullying children), CCS has been pulled, and there's maybe 5 or 6 classrooms actually being filled with children because so many parents have left (rightfully so). They're combining classrooms now because just as many teachers are leaving, so children don't have that consistency of the same teacher. The only reason and I mean the ONLY reason I stay was because the absolute LOVE and endearment I had for Viridiana. She is an angel/ one-in-a-million teacher you find who actually loves and cares for the babies as her own. Everyday I dropped my child off, it felt as if I was leaving him with family and I knew my child was taken care of. Other than that, it's obvious that the teachers are overworked, understaffed and under appreciated. Do yourself a favor and look at the violations on this website, more than likely, the three teachers I observed who are having these major red flag issues are still there. https://childcare.hhs.texas.gov/Public/InspectionAndComplianceHistory?operationId=1487369
