I was absolutely horrified with Jatin Shah, the general manager of this hotel. I made a reservation to stay with one night and was traveling with my dog which is a certified therapy dog. On checking in the lady at the counter told me that she could not check me in because the manager did not allow pets of any kind. She called the manager and he asked me what my disability is. I said that under Florida law he is not allowed to ask me that question and he said that if I don't answer I'd not be allowed to stay in the hotel. I quoted again: " In Florida An establishment cannot require you to provide documentation that your animal is trained, and it cannot ask you about your disability. However, it can ask you whether your animal is a service animal required for your disability, and it can ask you about the work the animal has been trained to perform." He refused to accept that and told me that he'd rather give me a refund and that I should go else where. He was a nasty individual and I'm traveling 6,000 miles across the country staying in all sorts of hotels no one has ever treated me like that. The check in lady looked visibly scared of him. He is rude and should not be in the hospitality business. He is also detrimental to the Country Inn brand, and he also likely violated Florida law. read more

This hotel has OVIOUSLY changed hands I normally stay here several times a year and the upkeep and service is now horrible. We saw roaches, the sheets was very uncomfortable, our room was under maintenance and wasn't spoke to about it. Then we had added a day before we arrived and it was a different room kind so we spoke to them the night before however it was different people so we asked the next am and they said oh we will work on it Sunday and I was like no it's tonight so she was like ok we will do our best. Later I was walking to get ice and saw the housekeeper and simply said hello oh good your cleaning two rooms right here How long does it typically take to clean a room ? She acted like I was gonna attack her or I was just bothering her beyond the world. Later I went down to see where we was at as we did not want to pack up a toddler bed and all of our things and we needed to leave out i was told to hold for the manager to call me and then he called my phone and informed me if I let "HARASSING " his employees he was cancelling our reservation and calling the police. ( I was with my 72 year old mom and 2 year old toddler and everything was sold out ) I NEVER cursed or raised my voice I simply asked do u know when or how long. Wow has customer service respirated to this ??? The next day our room was not clean. Which we didn't care no New towels nothing Next thing I knew the manager knocked ON OUR DOOR and asked did we put our garbage in the hallway. REALLY ???!!!! read more

The rooms were clean, but that's about the only good thing I can say about this place. I had something valuable stolen from my room while we were out one of the days. We called to notify the front desk to see what we can be done, they said they'll contact us if it shows up. He also stated that his staff had been there for 2 years and he can assure us they don't want our stuff. I can say my jewelry did not grow legs and walk away and people will do anything for a dollar now. read more

If you could give this a negative number I would. There were a few minor issues. Hair on towels and someone trimmed beard hair on one of the counters and it wasn't wiped down. I cleaned that no big deal. They don't have bed bug covers on mattress. Everything went fine til this morning and got up to get ready. Packing to leave and there was a big Ass bed bug . Put it in a ziplock we had our meds in and brought it down. Had to wait for manager to call back. He offered to give back 50 percent and wait for orkin to check the room. I'm sorry what? I just slept with a bed bug and it was on my blanket all night right by my face. So my husband said it was bullshit. Orginally thr manager said he would give us money and soap to launder our stuff so we didn't take anything to the car and to our home with children who have bites btw. But because my husband talked mean to him he changed his mind. Which made my husband lose it and they made us leave with our bug laundry which we had to hang from outside of car to find a laundry mat. DO NOT STAY HERE ! read more

Loooved this hotel. We stayed here last night on the way to Mississippi for a play my sister is doing. Apparently, it's recently renovated and boy did they do a great job. We booked a two queen Suite with a sofa bed. The room was huge, nicely decorated, and super clean. What I liked most about the hotel was the overhead lighting! So bright and cheery! I think I've only stayed in one other hotel that had such good lighting and it was a much higher price point than the country inn and suites. I travel to Mississippi at least a couple times a year to see my sister and I've actually earmarked this hotel to remember to stay later. Ps. We checked in super late, around 1am. Could barely keep our eyes open. The front desk girl was courteous, helpful, and extremely accommodating. read more

Our car broke down on our way from Panama City to Texas. The staff was AMAZING!!!!!! They were helping me so much by holding my car and keys for the tow company for 2 days. We rested easy and I can't say enough about the cleanliness and kindness of this staff! Thank you again! read more

Service dogs NOT WELCOME!!! This hotel is super nice but the management is a joke. It took me 45 minutes just to get access to this facility. I have a service dog who is registered and certified with The Service Dog Register of America with valid cards and IDs after answering several of her illegal questions I had to get ugly with her and inform her of the laws she then finally let us in. Had we not been staying at the same hotel with several family members we would find another place to stay. read more

Loved it there. I like how it's built in the woods, and when I opened the window it was like staring out at my backyard. The room was nice and clean. Big 50" t.v. The free breakfast was delicious despite it having the full menu, but I understand during these times. I actually lucked out and got a room on the first floor because of a cancellation. Not a bad experience overall. The room was clean and had everything you need. The front desk staff was friendly and the parking was nice. The beds were uncomfortable, but not horrible. What really took the fifth star off was that the walls were paper thin, so I was woken up at 8am because I could hear everyone walking by the door and awake in other rooms. Also, we got a late checkout approved by the front desk, but we were continuously harassed by housekeeping starting an hour before the normal checkout time. They knocked on the door more than 5 times in the course of an hour even after being told we had gotten a late checkout. It was very annoying and made me not a fan of this place. read more

This is a reasonably nice property in a somewhat shady little cove. Keep your eyes out for the homeless man on the corner as you come around the bend. He blends into the local fauna. The rooms are clean and well stocked and comfortable. Breakfast looks like your basic cereal, waffles juice and such. The front desk is efficient and friendly. This is a great hotel and well worth the price. The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms were really clean. I read the reviews after staying here and I'm surprised it's been open for some time now because it looked very new. The front desk manager, Jatin, was very friendly and was able to accommodate us at the last minute. The breakfast was also very good too. I stayed in another hotel in Crestview the night before, had I known about this hotel, I would have paid more money to stay here. The hotel is a little off Ferndon Blvd, which is used heavily, but the good thing about the location is that you are able to get to an intersection with a red light. It's very helpful getting around that area. The only knock on this hotel is their "gym". The equipment is so old that it looked like it was bought at a garage sale from the 80's and put in a small room. But, I will say that the hotel is that good that a dated gym, will not take a star away from this review. Worth the stay! read more

Try finding this place in the dark - forget it! Its on some totally rural back road near impossible to find. When I checked in there were no luggage carts anywhere to be found and the old woman at the front desk was not being helpful at all. The entire evening and next morning I repeatedly kept trying to access the Wi-Fi and was not able to! If you need to use Wi-Fi you're at the wrong hotel! When I brought it up to the person at the front desk named Karen she told me to contact the 800 number in the room and speak to the tech people who would help. I spoke to the guy on the phone and he tried to troubleshoot the situation and finally said to me "am I down the hall in the hotel" and I said yes, and he said "The Internet does not reach all over the hotel." I was extremely upset as I have lost many hours of work that I needed to do! I went back downstairs and explained what their tech person told me and Karen said "he's not supposed to tell you that!" I said "you mean the truth?"Yes at least somebody is finally being truthful! I told her that their hotel was dishonest with stating there is Wi-Fi when clearly there wasn't and something should be done about it. False advertising! She called her manager in front of me (Jatin Shah) and she explained my situation and once she got off the phone she said "my manager is not going to do anything so all I can say is sorry!" No refund, no courtesy one night stay absolutely nothing!!! This tells you what kind of customer service this hotel has - which is completely non-existent! Any high rated reviews you see, I believe were written by the staff. Also when I was leaving I smelt weed coming from the rooms that the cleaning ladies were working in which was very strange. As far as the room goes: the lampshades stained and filthy, old furniture, bed is lumpy with old sheets and pillows, Showerhead dirty and shoots water everywhere! Luggage cart cannot even squeeze into the room as the entrance is so narrow! The breakfast was a disgrace and literally I walked down to see and left without anything! read more

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this Country Inn & Suites in Crestview, FL. It all started when I was trying to book a room near Destin and a friend of mine suggested to try the hotels in Crestview. I called couple of them and made my decision at Country Inn & Suites because after talking to Jutin (General Manager), I new that I was going to have a great stay. We were trying to book three rooms and he took his time to inform me all the room types available. He explained all the amenities of the hotel. He really made me comfortable about the reservation. When we arrived at the hotel late in the evening, Tai was at the desk ready to check us in. She was extremely pleasant and made sure that our family was comfortable with every thing. The rooms were extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable and the hot shower was perfect after a long day. Next morning, we went for breakfast and it was great to see all the breakfast options available for us. We couldn't resist the Chocolate Chip Waffles! Once again, if you have to choose to stay in Crestview, you should make the Country Inn & Suites your first choice. read more

This is a lovely place to stay. It's clean and friendly, spacious and comfortable. Our bed was quite firm and my troubled back was very sore in the morning, but my boyfriend slept very well. This is by far the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at! Was here on business with about 12 others. I come from a customer service oriented business, and the Manager has the worst customer service I have encountered in 6 years of traveling with the company. I wish I could say this is the worst part of this hotel. I had my fill when I found a half eaten piece of candy bar behind my bed (looking for the remote). The next night a co-worker and I met that same mouse sitting up having a beer. The place is INFESTED with mice, and the abrasive manager wouldn't admit to it...nor did he have a resolution to it. When asked about the multiple hot poket looking mouse traps strewn about the hallways. He responded "one of the other guest staying here had put them there" Well at least someone was trying do something about it! The next day...the traps were picked up as if there was no issues. I also noticed that the parking lot had empty beer cans, unkept landscaping, and ants EVERYWHERE! The place looks good from far, but its far from good. Any other hotel nearby has much better accomidations, and WAY better staff. The night audit lady by the name of Mary was the best part of this place, but when ur paying over a hundred bucks a night you should have a much better value in these days and times. read more
