As of September 2 this hotel is called Park view Inn and suites Amish country Lancaster PA, but he own this website. It's called country in and Suites by Radisson so not even sure where I'm at. The hotel is nice and clean . The breakfast on the other hand sucks. There's no omelette or anything no sausage no bacon just premade sandwiches. Somebody that has gluten allergies cannot have anything offered at breakfast. I think the coffee and the juices are the only thing good There's literally nothing there for breakfast. Me and my family stayed here for 3 days and when I say this experience was the worst hotel experience I've ever had, I'm not over exaggerating. The workers are rude, housekeeping is useless, all they do is wake you up in the morning and disturb your peace WHILE you have the do not disturb card on your door, the people at the front desk act like they don't know anything about their hotel, vending machines don't work, the bubbles in the hot tub are brown, both the pool and the hot tub look like they haven't been cleaned in years, the breakfast is terrible, the tv doesn't work, the coffee maker doesn't work, the lights kept going out, and I could barely sleep at night with all the people yelling in the hallways and arguing in the room next door, overall just a bad experience do not go to this hotel. read more

This is my second time staying here. In some ways it was better in very few ways it was not. The negatives first. 1. The PRICE, I get it that everything is going up. I understand this hotel is clean & has good service but this is not midtown manhattan either. 2. Room service agreed to come take care of my room at 11:30am & never came. Not cool but I can let it slide because overall the service is pretty good. 3. The breakfast could use some help. Scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon with bread would go a long way. An honorable mention? You are forced to always make a right when you come out of their parking lot, can't hold that against them either lol. Everything else is still solid. Great location, you can walk to Dutch wonderland with your kids. Save yourself $25 on parking. The employees are friendly & professional. Some are super kind & went out of their way to help me. Great spot where you have stores galore. Clean rooms (even the floors seemed pretty clean), quiet, peaceful. We stayed here over the weekend for my birthday. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are very nice and very clean. Lots of parking. The included breakfast was good. There was a nice sitting area with a tv in our room as well as in the bedroom. The cable supplier was good also. We were the only ones using the heated pool and large hot tub. Definitely would recommend it. Also nice is it's directly across the street from Dutch Wonderland. read more

This was by far the cleanest, largest room, friendliest staffed hotel I have stayed at in ages. I have stayed at upwards of 5 different Lancaster hotels in the past 6 years and this is by far the top of my list. Prices in Lancaster are sky high on weekends now that Covid has lessened & spring is here. Even Comfort in was clocking in at $180/nt. I booked this hotel on Priceline & scored it for $140/nt which is still about $15 a night more than I'd prefer. But, entry from Lincoln Hwy was easy, parked right in front, checked in immediately (one hour early!) & was asked which floor I preferred my room. I chose floor 3, of 4, and with 2 functional elevators I never waited. First floor is under renovation, but not distracting at all. Lobby was clean & they have free pre-packaged breakfast. There is a pool (I did not use). My room was a huge, extremely clean & new looking king suite with a front view. Traffic can be noisy, so bring ear plugs if that bothers you. Bed was comfy. Two tv's one in bedroom (with a door that closed!) one in sitting room with chair, couch (sleeper) & desk. Fridge & microwave. Bathroom had TWO sinks. Shower was nice. Two closets. Housekeeping is short staffed but not an issue for me. They will bring you more towels & empty garbage. I would not hesitate to stay here again. read more

I was set to stay from 6/21 until 6/24. As I always do, when I book I tell the hotel I'm coming with my service dog. As I always also do I call a few days before to remind them I'm coming with my service dog. When I called they asked if it was an ESA or service dog. Clearly they weren't listening because I originally said "service dog." They said no problem and that they'd note the account. I also said that if they had to put me in a certain room I understand. They said, nope and that they would put me in a room as if I wasn't coming with a service dog. When I get there they see my service dog. Full disclosure I tell them that I have tickets to the wolf sanctuary which doesn't allow animals of any kind, service or not. They said I'd have to make arrangements for my dog because the dog can't be unattended at the hotel. Fine, no prob. They offered doggy day care, which closes at 7:30 pm - well that was a dumb suggestion if I ever heard one as it's not a little after 5 pm which would leave me 3 1/2 hours, plus, I need my service dog with me! I ask about the pool area, the girl at the front desk tells me that my dog has to stay on the deck area of the pool. Just to clarify I asked if I'm allowed to go in the pool, she says no. The other associate didn't correct her either. I told her that would have been nice to know on the phone because I would have stayed somewhere else. I settled into my room and requested to speak to a manager. Manager calls me and hears what I have to say and started to babble citing ADA guidelines, as if I don't know them. Clearly not listening to me about the issue, the pool. She then proceeds to lie right to my face that she was standing there during my check in and that she was asked directly by the girl at the desk. She then said I'm allowed to go in the pool, just my dog can't. Again, really captain obvious. Do better and train your staff. When I called her out on it she then backpedaled and said she was in the back office and heard everything. Really? What kind of manager hears a problem brewing and doesn't show face? Evidently this one. I opted not to stay because clearly this wasn't going to be a relaxing stay with no one knowing what the policies are. I requested a refund for the remainder of the stay and checked out the next morning. I get a text in the morning with their usual scripted nonsense followed by "we hope to see you soon?" Really?!?! So unfortunately I can't review the hotel outside of the horrible first impression. You know what they say about first impressions, you only get one shot. read more

I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days. We loved it here. The room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping was short staffed so understandable that beds weren't done. My son got a whole bed to himself and he loved it. The continental breakfast is great and the kitchen is clean. The staff here are so generous. The living area is separated my a door I the sleeping area. It's great as my son can go to sleep and we are not disturbing him The staff is friendly and there is plenty of off street parking. Minus two stars due to internet problems. Overall great experience but 2 out of our 4 days stay the Wifi was down. It was very inconvenient. Hotel staff gave us no information when it would be fixed. They said it was because the internet company tower was striked by lightning the night before. That was very frustrating. Also one day when we returned it to the hotel, the temperature was set at 61 degrees by the the cleaning staff. Kids were freezing. Nice to have DVD player in room but no remote control. Fridge in room but no freezer compartment. Will I stay there again? Definitely yes. Room is spacious. Hotel is clean. Cookies at 3 pm. Large indoor nice pool with hot tub. Staff was friendly. Everything works in our room. One light bulb was out but it was repaired within two minutes. We had screaming kids and parents next door but at least they were quiet at night. Bedding was on the soft side but my back was ok. 24 hours coffee and the station was well maintained. Free breakfast despite some day is better than the other. Item selection can vary a bit. One day the hot food selection was only scramble eggs, biscuit and gravy. Other day was scrambled egg, scrambled ham and egg and diced potatoes. I recently stayed at this location (as usual) while visiting Pa. It had been a couple years since I've visited the area. The hotel is going through renovations and we were able to stay on a floor that had been renovated. I miss the Amish/country decor in the room but the renovation upgrades still looked fairly good (maybe a bit rushed). The only negative I found with the hotel was the staff did not seem willing to accommodate extra pillows. We requested extra pillows for a medical reason and the night front desk did not seem as if they wanted to oblige, when in my past visits there was no hesitation for extra items. Other then that the kitchen/breakfast staff was very friendly. Breakfast was really good and there was a good selection of everything. I do like that they have cookies and different teas/got chocolate in the lobby for guest to have. The hotel is in a good location so it's easy to reach everything. We were able to walk to tanger outlets from the hotel and to a couple of resteraunts and stores that were close to the hotel. read more

This is a great hotel! Ideal if you're going to Dutchwonderland. You can walk to the amusement park and to the outlet stores. There are tons of restaurants and a nice mini golf place downtown the street. The lobby is cozy, they even have a small library. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Ours had a mini fridge, microwave, small table, desk and large bathroom. The breakfast is nice too and there's an indoor pool and jacuzzi! We'd definitely stay here again. read more

Yeah, we were traveling in the high season. You know what "high season" translates to, don't you? It means, "paying more for the same thing". But sometimes you've gotta go with what you know. Rick and I stayed here before, during the off season and we really liked this place. So considering we were on an amusement park crawl and Dutch Wonderland is practically across the street, we naturally chose the Country Inn & Suites. Rick and I had a one-bedroom suite which was really well furnished. The bed had a wonderful Amish quilt on it, hopefully NOT made in China. And it being a suite, the room had a separate living room area with easy chair, writing desk, TVs in each room, and a fridge. Very comfortable stay here and highly recommended. read more

Service = A Room Quality = D Amenities = B Price = B Conclusion = Not staying here again We stayed at Country Inn and Suites because Trip Advisor rates it the #4 hotel in Lancaster and the price beat out other hotels in the area by $50 or more. Now we know why the price was so low. Though the staff is great and the breakfast and pool are nice perks, our room was borderline disgusting. It was also quite noisy due to the trucks and motorcycles on Lincoln Highway. The King Suite consists of a small living room, a mid-sized bathroom with shower/tub and dual sinks, and a mid-sized bedroom. The room has a microwave and refrigerator, but there is no kitchenette or sink. The fridge had no freezer and was somewhat anemic in its cooling abilities. The room itself was flat our smelly and grungy. The room had a body odor sort of smell and the bathroom was the worst offender there. We even bought Febreeze and it didn't help much. After crawling and walking on the carpet, my toddler's feet were literally dark from the grime...yuck! The furniture had a lot of dirt and spots too. All this being said, the only reason I give this hotel a 3-star rating is the service. The people here are quick to help and very nice. However, they are working with a property in dire need of a renovation. read more

Now that I've stayed here for a whole week, I feel like I can give this place a more detailed and reasoned review. Location: Simple to get to, it's right on the main stretch of road, near the convention center I was going to, which made it simple to walk to every day. It's also convenient to get to any of the stores or restaurants on the highway. Staff: I didn't have personal problems with the staff, they all seemed pretty on the ball about everything. Cleanliness: Not perfect, but by no means was it dirty. The rooms themselves were nice and clean, no grunge in the showers, carpets clean. We did have one day where the quilt looked like it had some pasta sauce spilled on it, and we hadn't had anything with pasta sauce, so we're guessing they rotated a dirty quilt into the room. Didn't mention it because it was gone in the morning when they cleaned, but that was kinda gross. I assume they don't clean the quilts daily. The other thing is, one of the other guests had left a sippy cup of milk sitting in a window sill in the hallway. It was there for a couple of days before I threw it out myself. Granted, it was obscured behind the curtain, but I can't believe nobody else saw it. Shower: This is always the stickler for me. The water here was soft. Not just normal hotel soft, but super soft. Like, you don't ever get that clean feeling, always feeling slightly oily after showering and washing your hands. Now, I know I'm still clean, but I don't really like that sensation. Plus, the shower pressure is dismally weak, so it can lead to some unsatisfying showers. Food: Free continental breakfast, pretty good spread most days. They always had mini muffins and donuts, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, toast, and some kind of hot food (eggs, hash browns, that sort of thing). There was also a waffle maker. This was a definite plus. They also have two jars of cookies in the lobby area that are stocked pretty much all the time. Parking: I never had a problem parking, and could often get a space right in front with little walking distance. Even when I had to park in the back, it's not a super long walk to get inside. Price: We were moved halfway through our stay (more on that later) so we had a regular room and a suite. We paid a bit over $100 for the double room and about $150 for the suite, so reasonable cost considering it's summer time. Amenities: I checked out the mini gym they had, and I gotta say I wasn't impressed. I like to get a decent upper body workout, but all they had were cardio type machines: two exercise bikes, an elliptical and a treadmill. A chin-up bar and maybe a bowflex or something would have been nice. Just a couple of cheap dumbbells would have worked for me. Vending machines on each floor were convenient. There is a pool, but I didn't check it out. Other: We were moved halfway through our stay since they didn't have a room for the whole week we were there. My friend's father made the reservation eight months in advance. It didn't bother me so much to move, but I understand why he was annoyed. You'd think that with eight months of notice, the reservation could have been cemented at some point, since they managed to work some things out while we were there. Maybe hotels need a better scheduling system. Overall: This is still a great hotel compared to other places I've stayed in the area. I'll probably be staying here the next I go to the convention, and would recommend it to anyone. I just hope they ease up on the water softener. read more

And its literally right across the street from the amusement park. If you are going to visit "Lancaster" and not just the Amusement Park (i.e. - if you are 65 or older), you may like it as well but its not your typical Lancaster feel. But that was fine with me as I came to take my kids on the rides to have fun, not watch grass grow. Parents: Be advised though that walking there, while easy to do, is not safe as the road you cross is exceptionally busy. So please, be careful. Also, if you are booking, make sure you get the right one. There is another Country Inn or similar name (look for the Yelp reviews) that appears to be awful. Make sure you are calling this one even if the $79 rooms at the other place seem appealing cost wise. The other Yelp reviews were bad. read more

Like others have said, this place is clean and friendly. And super convenient. It's right across the street from dutch wonderland so you don't need to spend $15 parking at Dutch wonderland. Leave the car at the hotel (no fee for parking either). You get up in the morning, eat a good hot breakfast and go. You can walk to a number of stores and Tanger and restaurants too. It's pretty centrally located. They have a descent size indoor pool and hot tub too. They do not have a restaurant onsite. So you only can eat breakfast here (which is free). After that you can order and deliver or bring something back. They do give you coffee all day and night though. Not much else but it's definitely a great hotel. I've stayed here at least 5 times. I stayed at this hotel with the family for a short getaway in Dutch country. The hotel is centrally located on the main strip in Lancaster. The children's theme park Dutch Wonderland is right across the street. There are restaurants, shops, and outlets all around within walking distance. We stayed in one of the suites, that's all that was available at the time we booked the room. The price was fair, considering the location. The room was clean and not too dated. The bed was outfitted with an Amish quilt, which was very warm and comfortable. How authentic the quilt is, I have no idea, but I'd hope being surrounding by Amish, it would be. The hotel lobby is very welcoming and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast each morning is included. They serve everything from cold cereal to pancakes and sausage. We all enjoyed the breakfast selection each morning. If you're in Lancaster and looking for a place to stay that is centrally located, I'd recommend Country Inn & Suites. read more

I just love Country Inn and Suites. I have stayed at several throughout the east coast. They are much higher quailty but at budget inn type prices hovering around $100 a night. All rooms, as the name suggests are ensuite, meaning two rooms a living room and a bedroom, and a mini kitchen (micro, small fridge, counterspace). Bathroom is adequate, nothing to write home about, and the usual scratchy towels (I'm spoiled with 5 star hotels). This one is conveniently located directly across from Dutch Wonderland on Route 30. Parents stayed here a while back and felt it was too noisy, but we didn't notice. All CIS have a decent gym and most have indoor pools. Major bonus is a nice upgraded continental hot breakfast (included) in the morning. Eggs, meat, and some have make your own waffles (although that was missing at this one). Staff was friendly. I would definitely stay here again when in the Lancaster area. read more

This was a comped room for a work event nearby, so I can't comment on the cost. There are several hotels in the vicinity, and I didn't pay as close attention to my GPS as I should have and stopped at the old hotel next door. They front desk person was nice, but it was clear they don't see many guests. I drove next door and check in was smooth and fast. Lucky me! I had a room facing the back parking lot. After reading the reviews here and listening to my coworkers who were on the side that faced the highway, I was soooo fortunate. Since they are building an even bigger, grander hotel next door, the access drive to the back parking lot is narrow, so only one car can pass through at a time. The rooms are spacious with all of the amenities one can hope for. The hotel is a little dated, but serviceable. Internet is free and fast. The free breakfast was meh. All of the standards, but no cheese or hot sauce for the eggs. Also, huge pet peeve (and the reason for minus one star) is that the water is really soft. I sat in the shower trying to scrub the soap off of my body and shampoo from my hair for what seemed like forever. And to no avail. The next day I felt the soapy lather slowly drying and desiccating my skin. I'm not sure why hotels choose to soften their water, but it is a huge turn off in my book. read more

We had a great experience at this hotel. It is directly across the street from Dutch Wonderland, so the location could not be better. Our room was very clean, and the people working the desk and breakfast area were polite and professional. My kids enjoyed the little library they have in the lobby, and we all enjoyed the freshly-baked cookies they have each night. The layout of the room was nice, and it allowed us to hang out a little and watch television for a little while without disturbing the kids after they went to bed. We didn't use the pool, but we did walk past it and it seemed perfectly fine. The only thing suggestion I would have would be to improve pedestrian access to Dutch Wonderland. This hotel is directly across the street from the park and we should have been able to just walk there. Instead we had to drive, and the walk from our car to the park was further than it would have been had we been able to just walk across the street from the hotel. But with several small, energetic children we were just not willing to walk across a street that busy. I am not deducting any stars from my review, though, because I assume this is more of a city-planning issue rather than anything the hotel can do anything about. If we ever go back to Dutch Wonderland we will definitely stay at this hotel again. read more

I have been coming annually to this hotel for 7 years and my only complaint is the road noise from Route 30. This diminishes significantly if you are on the first floor. Otherwise you really cannot beat the AAA Rate. We had come to Lancaster last Memorial Day weekend and stayed at The Host because the Country Inn was full. Now there is a one star dump! We lucked out and the next night was able to move over to a suite at the Country inn (at the same price as the Host's regular room). Have to say it was night and day! And the suites are located away from Rt 30 so no road noise. Completely recommend. read more

Stayed briefly this week, centrally located. Great value for a standard room. Took advantage of the pool & whirlpool, had it to ourselves. We were traveling with another couple and the staff were able to provide us rooms on the same floor. The trade-off for the central location is that some of the highway noise is distracting (even though we were on the top floor). I will consider asking for a room on the rear portion of the hotel next time I stay. We have stayed in no less than five different hotels in this area in the past. I stayed here once and was VERY pleased. The check-in process only took about 5 minutes. When we got to the room, it was spacious, clean, and quiet. The bathroom was immaculate, and the TV and microwave were easy to use and worked just fine. The complementary breakfast was standard for hotel breakfasts; not amazing but certainly good, does the job, plenty of variety. There are several food places nearby and it's in a convenient location. We did not check out the pool while we were there, but the other reviews seem positive!
