We were in town from Seattle for the night on our anniversary and wanted a nice place for dinner. We had been wine tasting that afternoon in Chelan so unfortunately we were kinda done drinking. I did have one cocktail. The space looks nice. I like the decor but maybe a little too open/airy for an intimate vibe. It did seem pretty slow for a Sat night. As a result there wasn't a lot of staff but our server was friendly. The food was delicious though! The shrimp and grits with the Thai chili sauce was great and my wife got the vegan noodle bowl which had a lot of flavor. (She's not vegan or vegetarian, just loves noodles and veggies.) The price point is a little spendy for the entrees but the food was great so we're not mad. We would go back. read more

Not sure where to start, from the $15 lettuce bowl "Caesar salad", to the remarkably flavorless halibut, to the overly sweet and syrupy paper crane cocktail - this place was a let down. For being the most upscale restaurant in the city, I'd expect much more for the price tag. Certainly not a 45 min wait for entrees. Our server was very kind and the plating of the food looked nice, but every dish we ordered lacked flavor, even the overly hard bread. The ambiance felt sterile and had a confusing design style. The open layout gave no privacy to the tables and caused the entire dining room to be quite loud. Overall, I would not suggest visiting if you're looking for a higher end meal. We were disappointed with the food. We had Halibut, Sea Scallops, Ceasar salad, Guinness and Atlas Punch. The Guinness was perfect. The Atlas Punch was good. The Halibut was over-cooked and poorly seasoned. The Scallops looked great, but they were rubbery with very little flavor. The Ceasar salad was okay, but it was just some squares of lettuce with parmesan cheese. The best part of the meal was the service, which was excellent. Not a restaurant we will return to. The food was amazing once again, but we kept getting skipped over when each course was brought out and had to ask for 2 courses because we were not served by anyone. Many of my family and friends had already been to Atlas Fare and had nothing short of wonderful things to say about it. When we walked in, we were promptly seated in a very dimly lit, but still very cozy dining room. The general lack of light reminded me of an upscale steakhouse, but the plain-looking cutlery, standard glassware, and very minimal decor still helped me feel comfortable in the restaurant. My table ordered the Steamed Clams for our appetizer, and I was quite happy with them! They weren't as briny as some of the other clams I've had, and the meat was very supple and tender, not chewy like clams can be sometimes. The broth was also wonderful! It wasn't the traditional butter, white wine, caper broth which I honestly liked, it was sort of a spicy bacon tomato base! The bread was also nice and fresh, with a very nice contrast between the interior and the crispy (not crunchy) crust! I had a glass of hard cider with my meal and I was pleased with that as well! It had a nice balance between the crispness of the apple, the lightness of the C02, and the underlying notes of alcohol. Maybe one of the better ciders I've had in my life! Almost refreshing which isn't always a word I've used for cider. The thing that absolutely wowed me tonight was my entree, the chicken risotto. The rice was beautifully cooked so that it was toothsome without being crunchy, the risotto technique was wonderful with the rice being amazing creamy; it had emulsified wonderfully with the butter, wine, stock, and cheese. The two chicken thighs I was served were prepared very classically. Seared skin-side down to get a crunch, seasoned fairly aggressively at the end, and presented in such a way that while they were the main protein, they played their role in such a way that they didn't detract from the side characters (the rice and peas) The one thing I had a slight issue with was the Mousse at the end. There was almost as much whipped cream in the dish as chocolate. Such a small complaint, but I just felt like it did hinder my enjoyment of an otherwise immaculate dessert. Overall, Atlas Fare is something everyone needs to experience many times. With the prices they charge on the menu however, I can't justify more than 2 or 3 visits a year. If their prices would just come down a tiny bit (my risotto was $38), I would be able to recommend it even more than I am right now. It's still absolutely a 5 star experience, but one that should be reserved for birthdays, special get-togethers, or entertaining anyone you really feel like spoiling. read more

OVERALL: 9/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 4.5/5). Definitely one of the top places to hit up in Wenatchee, if you're in the area and in the mood for some good eats. My partner and I were luckily slotted in immediately after we showed up without a reservation on a super-busy Saturday night (was charging my Tesla at the nearby Pybus Central Market), and a reservation cancelled just before we walked in. I'm grateful we at least tried to come to this place, because it was on the list of one of my partner's classmates, and we weren't able to go last time due to scheduling / party size. We arrived after a half day of skiing, and having only eaten a late breakfast, we were noticeably hungrier than your average guest. 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 9/10. The cocktail selection was a simple page, and the overall food menu was basically a single-sided foolscap paper. The sections are simple but descriptive: small plates (appetizers), sides (they're bigger than the price would imply), "entrees" (split into garden, land, and sea), and "dessert". We never got to the dessert stage, but between the two of us, we ordered (Atlas Punch and the Paris 75 cocktails, to start): 1. Truffle Wontons ($10) 2. Shrimp Ceviche ($14) 3. Truffle French Fries ($6) 4. Bread & Olive oil ($5) 5. Mushroom Risotto ($25) 6. Pan Seared Sea Scallops ($38) 2) FRESHNESS: 8.5/10. Scallops were decent, risotto was slightly oversalted, the cocktails were BOTH INCREDIBLE, the sides were fantastic (the bread with oil/vinegar was addicting and I basically ate all of it since my partner almost got full just eating it), and the appetizers were decent, but not particularly memorable (the truffle wontons were actually my favourite; the "chips" that came with the ceviche were bland and dry). 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9/10. The sides are INCREDIBLE value for money in terms of portion size - especially the fries and the bread with oil. I think those two on their own could be a meal for a normal human. 4) SERVICE: 9.5/10. The recommendations were fantastic and the overall service was stellar - they cleared plates, refilled water, and checked on us at least once for every "course" (appetizer and main). 5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 9/10. Neither of us were particularly dressed up, but a lot of the other guests were - this place definitely has an upscale / high-end vibe, so take that for what you will. Parking is relatively easy - there's a lot of street parking right next to the restaurant, but keep in mind that the downtown Wenatchee area isn't that populated to begin with, and it's definitely not going to be as busy (even during the weekend) than your regular Seattle watering hole. read more

Atlas Fare has such amazing food. I am usually not one for fancy dishes, so I didn't have too high of expectations. But the food was divine and well worth the money. We had the wontons, pork chop and beef bourguignon as well as some cocktails. Delicious drinks and food! The desert was good too. The meal was fabulous and the atmosphere is great. Love the clocks telling different times across the globe. It gives the place a very worldly vibe. We will be back! It is pricey though, but great for a date night. We were very excited to try this place on our trip through Wenatchee. They weren't super busy and I have to say I was a little surprised about the service which is why I deducted a star and it seemed like they were running around a bit confused and the service definitely is not consistent with the prices. My husband's dish of scallops was delicious and while the shrimp and noodle dish was tasty - I felt it was a bit pricey for what it was. The pineapple drink was fun and delicious so I definitely recommend trying that. If we were back in the area we would definitely eat here again and give them another try everyone has an off night. It's a nice atmosphere with lots of potential but they definitely need to tighten up their service. read more

So I was excited to try something new in Wenatchee. I have been visiting here for work for 20 years. Many years ago Shaktis was really good. Then at some point the quality went down. I don't want to sound snobby but I'm from Portland and we are blessed to have a lot of good food choices. For Wenatchee this place was pretty good but I paid a lot of money for a mediocre meal. The ceviche was a little too sweet. The crab chowder was sweet and had a strange taste like the bowl didn't get all the industrial detergent off it during the washing process. The halibut was a little dry, the Cesar salad was uninspiring. I even ordered bread at the end and we got a beautiful basket of warm bread with olive oil. Unfortunately, that too failed to ignite a spark, so I asked for some butter, but to no avail.. (Usually good bread will do the trick for me). I won't likely come back. Rather, I'll go to La Fuente for some top notch Mexican food. read more

Unlike my last visit in October 2022 (5 stars), this visit was an unfortunate experience. Our table was not ready when we arrived so we were shuttled off to the bar only to have the host come for us before a minute went by. It all seemed so unnecessary. Our server wanted to take our entrée order almost immediately. They were in quite a rush. Dinner was poorly paced with some dishes coming out and others lagging minutes behind. The food quality and plating was good. Our served did not check in until too late into the main course for us to order another drink. And then they more or less shoved the check in my face before asking if we wanted anything else. Maybe it was a bad night for them but it more or less ruined my meal. Cheating presentation by its top photo, which seems like bacon-wrapped scollops (or lobster/prawn) with avocado slices and other colorful decoration - but it is no longer available. How is other item from real menu? Only one-third pretty of the presentation, and none for the material and taste. Any 4-5 stars was probably for the past. Ordered a clay pot prawn, as described to include jumbo shrimps, bacon, glass noodles, and sweet soy sauce. However, there were only 3 shrimps (not bigger at all than any shrimps can be found at Costco or Safeway), and a few small tiny pieces of bacon that were hardly to dig under some green leaves. 85% rest of the pot were so called glass noodles, very dark and very very very salty - which meant there was not ***sweet*** soy sauce. The whole plate was actually dark salty soy noodle and a joke. Do NOT believe any recommendation from waitress. "One of the favorites", probably means expensive or over-priced. "Favorite of her co-worker", means it could be really really bad that nobody chose. Full of nonsense of this restaurant. Left with an empty stomach (after this $35 dish) and full of disappointment, plus 30-minutes walking back hotel to open a box of instant noodle. read more

Close to great. I showed up around 7 PM on a Saturday night without a reservation. As a party of one, I had expected to easily get a seat at the bar. The host said that they had finished dinner service and I wouldn't be able to order anything but small plates; I thought that was weird, as the place was not full. She implied that they were between rushes; I still wondered why that limited me to only small plates, as I had my eye on their scallop entree. I asked for a seat at the bar where I could see only two people sitting yet there are eight seats. She would have to check with someone and then they sat me at the bar. I had two cocktails, "The Modern" and a Manhattan on the rocks; both were excellent. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and the grilled Caesar salad. The ceviche was excellent and served very appropriately on shrimp chips. The balance of flavors was spot on and the knife work on the red onions and peppers was superb. It had a hint of sweetness to balance the acidity and I think I tasted some fish sauce - great stuff! I would have liked just a bit more heat. The grilled Caesar salad is a good concept, but it would have been better with a bit more grilling and a wood fire, but I suspect that they don't have wood in the kitchen. The crostini that stood in for croutons were nothing burgers; they were small pieces of toast with grated cheese. They lacked the olive oil and garlic that makes croutons tasty. Two things detracted from my experience - the noise and the obviously stressed front-of-the-house staff. The space is lovely, but would benefit from some sound deadening; it became quite loud at times. I'm not sure why the staff was running around like chickens with their head cut off as the place was not full. I suspect it is understaffed and the poor bartender Kristy was hustling like few I've seen before; it was drink after drink after drink for her. Afterward, I perused the small collection of excellent cookbooks by the fake fire. read more

The food here was delicious and the service was great! They were very attentive and kind. We had the wontons for an appetizer and I thought they were delicious and unique! We shared a bottle of the Italian Pinot Grigio and they let us taste the bottle before committing to it and it was perfect. I had the scallops over cannelloni beans. The scallops had a nice sear and were perfectly cooked. The beans were surprisingly really delicious. They have a bit of acidity and sweetness that is well balanced and the beans were perfectly cream. The flavor was divine! My husband had the pork chop and coconut rice. I thought the rice was wonderful and the pork chop had good flavor but was a hair over cooked. But barely. It was still really good. It's a super thick pork chop. The decor was fun and unique too while being very modern. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back! read more

Thank you so much to Atlas Fare staff for making my birthday dinner so special! The host was so sweet to accommodate our party of 8 the day of my birthday squeezing us in for a late dinner at 7:45, the restaurant was still quite lively at the time of our arrival but we were seated immediately. Our amazing server who I regretfully don't remember the name of, was extremely attentive as well as hospitable, and followed all steps of service, clearly well trained. I was intrigued by there large selection of non-alcoholic liquors by Lyre, the bartender recommended a lemon drop as it was delicious, I also tried the Lyre Gin neat it was interesting, it tastes like a slightly bitter botanical tea, not sure I'd try again but I love that they have options! As a starter I had the Grilled Caesar and the Wontons which I highly recommend as well. Our Entrees were the real showstoppers, I had the falafel and was incredibly impressed not only with the combination of savory, tangy flavors but the portion sizes are huge! The pork chop was about two inches thick, and cooked to perfection!Everyone needed to-go boxes and were beyond satisfied. We did save little space for the chocolate mouse which was so rich and indulgent, and my personal favorite the ginger-snap basket. Hands down one of the best meals I've ever had, and easily the best restaurant in the area. We will definitely be back! read more

It's strangely located in an office building and hard to find at first. Once found though, it was like stepping into a magical modern spot that I did not expect! Great decorum, well lit, and everyone following COVID rules. Hosts and servers in masks, chef too. Sat down and had a couple of the most delightful beverages I've had in a long long time. Please order these, their mixologist or mixology program is WITH the program! My friend had the Lavender fog. She said it was like sipping on a dream. Completely and perfectly balanced with earl grey, lavender, cream, and vodka. I tried the Oaxaca Breeze. Perfection of that slightly smoky Mezcal with mint and lime. When we asked the server about the size of the chowder, because we weren't too hungry (we had a late lunch), she said it was best to each order our own. As cute as it was to have us both served soup at the same time, with each of us having our own server with a double timed pour, it honestly was enough for us to have shared one. The portion was not small. I didn't totally appreciate the upsell there. The crab was tasty and meaty with bits of corn, some peppers, and dill. There was some separation of oil in the soup as you'll see in the picture, and it lacked acid. A squeeze of lime really would have brought it all together. Salmon was the special salad, and boy was it a hearty huge piece on a giant beautiful salad. I couldn't even eat it all, as I was full of chowder. Fresh greens, large slices of avocado, watermelon radish, tomatoes, corn, and I believe it was a rendition of a tomato style pesto on top of the salmon. So so much food. I couldn't even think about dessert. Very tasty. Perfectly cooked. I would have had another cocktail as my friend had two, but I had to drive us back to Leavenworth. read more

The food presentation was beautiful, and it had a nice ambiance, but that's the only positives I can find for our experience. There were 7 tables with guests including ours, and one larger party that left about 20 minutes after we were seated. The other tables were 2 or 4 people. We had 6 adults and ordered 2 glasses of wine, one Caesar salad and a basket of bread for starters. We ordered 5 entrees. We were never asked about a second glass of wine. We waited over an hour for our food to come. The waitress brought us a complementary bowl of soup and six spoons. No apology that the kitchen was backed up was given. When the food came, it was no hot. Two of us ordered steaks which were both overdone and almost cold. It didn't help that both of them were already sliced open (about 4 pieces) for presentation. Normally I'd complain if my steak was overdone, but because we waited so long, it just wasn't worth it. Also had to ask twice to get another glass of water due to one of us accidentally dropping food into it. Someone came out from the kitchen to ask how our meal was when we were leaving-they did this for other tables as well. My reply was, it was ok, and he just walked away. This restaurant is not cheap and with 6 people and 5 entrees they added a 20% tip. We were in for over $300. I don't mind paying that if the food and service are exceptional, but it wasn't. We went here for my husband's birthday and it's unfortunate that it just wasn't great. Thanks for the free bowl of soup for 6 people to share and the free dessert. Don't bother going here. read more

For this region - definitely a 5 Star and would definitely hold their own in big cities. Wonderful "clean lines" decor. Immaculate. We were with another couple who dine here frequently and they both have had made their way through the menu and with the exception of the Clay Pot Shrimp they enjoy everything. We started with the shrimp ceviche and that just made me want more of what they were serving. Then the crab soup - WOW! We had 3 scallop dinners and the pork chop. All cooked to perfection. Desert we had the "ice cream bar" desert and the bananas fosters. Yep - we will do that again as well. Great job! read more
