The Rail House is a sports bar with multiple televisions, a bar area and a family dining area--there is plenty of room! Tonight was a family event, a birthday party for our daughter-in-law. We're no strangers to this restaurant--Sherrie and I held our rehearsal-night dinner here 26 years ago. The building was originally a warehouse next to the rail station, in the same wood and brick style with huge beams and columns. It's a beautiful building with subdued lighting and a full wall of liquor over the bar, and tables or booths for seating couples or whole families. There's a loft area for separate events or private parties. We arrived at 7pm on the Tuesday after Labor Day. The service was immediate with full attention. The front of the menu is burgers, fries sandwiches, soups and salads, with a featured section of up-scale entrées (steaks, seafood, chicken, pasta). The back of the menu is every kind of pizza you can imagine. My fish and chips (fresh cod) was some of the best I've ever had, hot, crispy and full of flavor. It came with Jo-Jo cut fries and tartar sauce (see pic). Service was not slow, it was cook-to-order, so there was time to enjoy drinks all around before the meal was served. Here's the part that impressed me. My son Guy made the reservation and asked if we could bring in our own birthday cake--they said yes. I'm old-school (don't bring food to a restaurant). But not only was this acceptable to the Rail House, they brought service for eleven people (plates, forks, napkins) and a lighter for the candles! No charge, no pressure, no complaints, just all in the spirit of good karma! We closed the place after hours slightly, and the waitresses were with us all the way. It was a 5-star experience! The only BAD THING was: Tampa Bay-6 / Seattle -3

I ordered the Greek Folder as part of my take out order. The description is "grilled chicken meatballs with house made dill tzatziki sauce, fresh cucumber, Roma tomato, pickled red onion, feta cheese on a warm flatbread". When I got back to the hotel, I discovered that there was no meatballs and the flatbread was frozen pancakes. You should be ashamed of yourselves Rail Station.

This is a good place for beer and food. Not like super great but pretty good. On a Friday night, the five of us were seated at a table in the bar. We called ahead and were told they had two big reserved parties, so it would be hit or miss if we came in. But could not reserve. Wait, didn't the two big parties reserve? Service was a bit slow. They had a nice selection of beer and the food was served hot. The burgers were great and the Mac and cheese was a nice mix. The side of pea salad was kind of cool and different. I think this place could probably be a four star with a little better staffing, even in these difficult times. We need a place like this in Wenatchee so let's keep going here and giving feedback!

Second time here. Was here for the Elote. Why mangle perfection. They sent us a dry bowl of corn. The first time it was hip deep in sauce. Why serve us corn with chips?? I showed the lady server the pictures of the Elote last time. Huge difference. She took it back for more sauce. They put more sauce which made it way better but...people!!! Heat it up next time! Then we ordered the smoke house pizza which arrived on a thin cracker burnt crust. The smoke chicken was tasty along with the carmelized onion. Stick with that on the pizza with more sauce and way more cheese. Disappointing visit... The lady server was excellent. In this case, the kitchen was a failure. The barkeep was excellent. The Rail Station whiskey cider was awesome!! We were comped half price on appetizer without even asking. Customer service was great. Sadly, the kitchen was not

It's Burger King on steroids! You won't find tomatoes on the menu board, but almost every other combination of garnish (and companion meats) are options. I went with their stated classic, the "OG Mission" ('original gangster') burger. It is delicious, albeit noticeably greasy, due to the extra-high fat content of the ground beef. But that's where the rich flavor comes from. What Mission Burgers is doing right is highly seasoning the meat with salt and pepper, then punching up the flavor with pickles, red onion, and their special sauce. Add to that the richness of the cheese and the crusty, grilled bun--this is the winning combination at the base of all their other burger options. The other thing I really appreciate is, their straightforward pricing without trying to upsell their ingredients. The add-ons are inexpensive--slice of cheddar is $.50 compared to EZ's $1.47 for the same. Two suggestions: - drain the grease off the patties before assembly, - don't fold the wrapper in half... wrap the burger in a full sheet, stronger paper if necessary, keep it from leaking all over clothing. (I'll be back to check! :-) Otherwise, this is a 5-Star burger! (see the menu board pic attached for all the other options, including chicken)

Over the last year Sherrie and I have gravitated from their burgers to their chowder...probably have had it about 20 times. We've even bought Ivar's Clam Chowder from Costco to compare them. Ivar's has more creaminess and less clam flavor, and though Ivar's from Costco is the low-cost leader, it doesn't compare with EZ's "Dock" brand. I finally interviewed EZ's about it. The recipe is the owner's. "Docks" is the owner's copyrighted brand. It is fully prepared from scratch on site and I believe it is only sold out of this location. They started selling a larger 20 oz. size a few months ago and it's the perfect dinner size, completely satisfying (see the pic). - Scott

First time I went, I asked what type of cheese they had for my burger. The person through the mic told me, "anything you want!" So I asked for pepper jack. They didn't have that. I asked for Swiss cheese second, which to my surprise they also didn't have. At this point I asked what cheese do they have since I obviously have the wrong taste in cheese Other than the service being pretty spotty, it is a place in Wenatchee I will always go to if I'm close and in the mood for a burger. Also love the variety of soft serve flavor options!

Dizzy D's - Burger Joint or Restaurant…read more I have to stick with a neutral 3-Star rating, as I haven't tried any of Dizzy D's burgers (and there are many). But I did have a Chef Salad, a Philly Cheese sandwich, a Club House sandwich and a Potato Salad side serving. The big question for me: Is Dizzy's a burger joint trying to be a restaurant? If the Philly Steak sandwich is any measure, Dizzy's is a restaurant--the Philly Steak is delicious. Not only the flavor of the meat and its generous portion, but the pairing of cheese and bell pepper takes this entrée over the top. But I do notice the at-onetime-side of fries, has become a small slice of toast, which makes no sense as the side to a hoagie bun (or was it meant for the salad with croutons?--either way, who wants bread with their bread. Still, top marks for the Philly (with or without fries)! Otherwise, the Chef Salad and the Club House sandwich were both exercises in processed food--the same cold cut meats used in both. Whether you like your luncheon meat with lettuce, or with bread, you're in for the same experience at the same price. My point: neither are restaurant quality because the 1/16" thin slices of ham and turkey, and yellow-n-white cheeses, and bacon...can't compete with the major restaurants in Wenatchee who slice fully-cooked ham and turkey. Yet the menu prices at Dizzy's are within a dollar of those at Rail House, or McGlinns, or even Denny's. The potato salad side is just a courtesy side dish. The single slice of pickle on top doesn't make it a flavor pairing. I think Reser's Potato Salad from WinCo would be a better choice. I will return for the cheeseburgers...promise! After all, Dizzy's has been around for at least 16 years--that's to their credit; they've got to be doing something right, right? It certainly isn't their lunch meat offerings. Finally, gotta say, the guy cooking, and the Gal at the window were both charming, great service providers!

When she brought out the dish, there were two large ones on it because they're normally larger (!) and she wanted us to have the equivalent. I ordered mine without zucchini because it's just not a breakfast veggie to me lol. I did not notice or taste any pesto in the dish but the hollandaise was excellent on top. I could barely finish my hash so I didn't touch the biscuit and gravy but our daughter will have it for leftovers this week. Randy ordered the pig and vine bene with hash browns. The bacon on his was crumbles instead of actual pieces of bacon so that was disappointing and he said the hash browns were cooked inconsistently with some of it being overcooked and all of it lacking flavor. Corina ordered the three meat hash and liked it a lot. She could only eat half - the portions are large - so more leftovers for her.
